Horrible reffing if Finley had done that Lucia would be lobbying the WCHA league office for additional punishment and commenting on how the Sioux are alway in the middle of scrums. All seriousness Bickle is a hack and will end up hurting someone if the league doesn't keep an eye on him even in the NHL they league officials are watching players that have a history of doing questonable things.

Yep the CHA is a weak league but BSU has beaten UMD quite a few times lately, last season the Beavers swept the dogs and this season they split with the Bull Dogs. I think RMU, Niagra and BSU are legit teams and college hockey should do what ever it take to keep them going. I am not sure how strong Huntsville is financially? Maybe someone like Scott Williams, Moose Richards or Millsy could give us a perspective on that.

Nice post; BSU wouldn't bring down the league anymore than any of the other teams like MSU-M, UAA ET AL. I saw a highlight from a game in Sullivan arena and there was no one in the building. wow that is bringing a lot to the WCHA. While some claim that BSU doesn't deserve to be in the WCHA, think about this. BSU and Niagra have been to the NCAA tourney more than UAA, MTU and MSU-M the last 5-10 years. BSU too Denver to OT when they won the NCAA title. Niagra has something SCSU does not have, an NCAA win.

In hockey the puck would have to be across the goal line before the clock hit 00. In basketball the shot has to be off before the clock hits 00.

I think it is a great idea and college hockey would be more watchable in the WCHA. The league coaches of the lower tier WCHA teams wouldn't go for it, there wouldn't be quote unquote this parity that we have right now. You would have 4-5 teams running away from the rest of the league. Look how many goals Toews has in the NHL its the lack of obstruction.

One could make the argument about a lots of the schools in the WCHA, they would be called the have littles. I remember when people didn't want MSU-M to be in the leauge, I personally was opposed to it and wanted UNO to be in the league instead. I think BSU would just as good as those schools already in the WCHA. BSU coach Tom Serratore as an assistant coach at SCSU was in charge of recruiting at SCSU and could recruit at a WCHA level. To say that BSU wouldn't add anything to the WCHA is short sighted.

I have been hearing people talking about the Big Ten Hockey Conference or 10+ years and it has yet to come to fruition, someone from the big ten has to add hockey first. Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, Pennsylvania aren't exactly hot beds of hockey. Also, like someone mentioned if that was case there would be some top quality teams left out of the NCAA tourney every year because they were beating up on each other for 4-6 games someone like a MSU, Michigan or Minnesota is going to be left out of the NCAA tourney.

I think evenutally the NCAA is going to say lets make it work and ask some of these conference to step up. I am sure the that the AHA could take a few more teams and it would seem logical that Niagra and RMU and possibly UAH go that direction. Last conference in maybe twist there arm a bit. However, if some of these conference don't take the teams that are left over I could see the NCAA start pulling NCAA tourney bids and drop back to 14 or 12 teams in the NCAA tourney. I could see this happening, there would probably be less teams in college hockey. Maybe the conference could tell the NCAA they need to increase conference games as well or they won't add anyone...

I can't imagine why people are upset after UND just finished sweeping an opponent and looked good doing it.

I hate the cloud the issue with facts but UND has only give up 7 goals in 4 games. 1.) 2-3 against SCSU 2.) 6-2 against SCSU 3.) 4-1 MTU 4.) 4-1 MTU That is pretty good playoff defense.

IT was one of them 130 feet goals.

And Schmidt should no longer be allowed to ref games in this league. There is no excuse for that kind of incompetence.

When I was in Germany in the 1980's if the Polizei (sp) saw you with a Swastika you were more than likely going to recieve a beating. It is a topic that is not discussed.

There must be a direct correlation between CSTV being there and the protesters being out side.

I think it depends on who you run into. I don't have a problem with people protesting that is their 1st ammendment right but getting in someone's face is rude and wrong.

That was funny when that guy realized that he messed with the wrong guy he staked backwards fast.
