Is it me or does every article written by Mick Hatten sound like program envy? Does anyone else think this? Some buffoon suggested that their past president Roy Saigo cost them a chance to be in the NCHC, the fact remains that SCSU is not on par with the teams financially that are currently in the NCHC, SCSU is a second tier school.

Ha!!! I was thinking about how great it is to be fans of a program that gets called a bunch of Hacks/Goons, but is also resonsible for the demise of college hockey and were hostile and abusive. The hate from other programs keeps me warm on the cold winters night up here in Grand Forks... I think UND Hockey is one of the best hockey programs in the nation and it's fun to watch them play. I think Sioux hockey and Duck Hunting are sare some of the reasons I still live in ND. I couldn't imgaine cheering from some of the other sub par programs like UAA, MSU-M or LSSU.

The Fighting Sioux nickname and the native American programs on campus are not related and to suggest that losing the Fighting Sioux nickname will result in the Native American programs losing funding isn't going to happen. Some of the program's funding come from the Federal Government.

I honestly don't know how the NCAA can make a party that was never part of the settlement agreement change their building? I get that the NCAA is an organization and they can decide where games are played... Also, I am not a lawyer and I didn't stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

If I am reading this right, Kelley is moving ahead whether there is a bill to reverse the Law or not. I found this in the Herald today.

Hey I am not unhappy about it at all, I think it's awesome, I heard it from a Hockey dad that was sitting at the table and heard the comment from said parent. So things change. I had also heard the same thing from other people around town. It's a great pick up for UND.

I was wondering about that, look I am not happy about losing the Fighting Sioux nickname but it's appears that it's time to move on, we can't win this... Even if Spirit Lake sues the NCAA I can't see this changing, they aren't going to back off their stance... What's to stop the Big Sky Conference from pulling the conference affliation? All of the lawyers on site said that there is no way UND can win this. I wonder if the NDSBoHE will just go ahead and retire the name.

That's why we have to watch these people like a hawk and make sure we don't end up with some stupid name few can rally around.

Just for the record B.R.I.D.G.E.S is the organization that in the past has promoted Sun Dogs for a replacement nickname.

I really like that Idea if UND can get away with it.
