I guess they forget the part where Al Carlson was slapped by the NCAA and told no dice.

First off I love the Fighting Sioux nickname but there is no way to continue to use the nickname without damaging the UND sports programs that is a fact. UND will no longer be able to play UMN and UW in hockey or any sports. That means that UND fans will no longer be able to watch UND take the UMN hockey team to the woodshed. Here is the latest miss information. Wow!!! I think I would rather trust Tim O'Keefe and Dave Hakstol more on the nickname issue than a self professed, self congratulatory blogger that is wadding into an area he has no clue on. First none of these guys have interviewed the BSC Presidents from what I can gather... They have no clue what could happen if UND keeps the name... Maybe he should stick to commenting on the Heitkamp and Berg Election. I have a hard time believing that the A.D. of UND Brian Faison is going to mislead people on the Fighting Sioux nickname. Also, the S.L. Lawsuit against the NCAA is the best way for this to end well. All other ways are not going to end well, the NCAA is not going to change their minds. I am on record as saying that I will help raise funds for this lawsuit if they want. I fully support them. The Petition process will do nothing but hurt the University of North Dakota.

Oh, No! S.A.B. is all knowing, they have the pulse of North Dakota... I think they're dead wrong on this issue...

Dude give it a rest... Your petty attacks on Hockey fans is growing tiresome... Most of us know the stakes. A lot of us like football or other sports as well...

I know a lot of hockey fans that already know the name is going to cost UND and have frankly grown tired of this argument and would like to see it go away. I don't see a lot of UND hockey fans posting on SAB... I see a lot of people driving this debate that has never stepped foot in a classroom at UND... Most of us love the name and want to see the S.L. Tribe win the law suit and know that the Petition is the wrong way to go... I also don't think it's fair to blame this on the "Hockey crowd"... There is a lot of blame to go around all over the place. A lot of people knew the gig was up when the NCAA slapped Al Carlson at the NCAA headquarters.

Dude, we get it, you hate Hak. Seriously, he just spoke at the press conference, I am not sure what else you think he has to do. Would bet you that it will make the paper before the night ends. I would also bet you a beverage of your choice that the videos will be posted later on tonight on Sioux Sports.

For those that have been bagging on Coach Hakstol and saying he hasn't taken a stance on the nickname subejct, this is what the had coach had to say today on the nickname issue at the Wednesday Press Conference...

My bad, I thought we were minus one league with the implosion of the CCHA, but I also miss counted.

I guess that is one way to look at it, I think Al has looked like a buffoon during this mess... I think this is why you don't see Hoeven, Berg and Conrad chiming in on this... They don't want to be associated with this folly.

I wouldn't count on it. You're going to have AHA, H.E., WCHA, B1G and NCHC.
