Better hope for a Minnesota win tomorrow and a BSU win in Alaska tomorrow then.

The guy reminded me of the anti nickname folks from UND that argued against the name no matter what, it didn't matter what facts you used to defeat their argument. Most of us in the ready to move on crowd, before it buries UND knows the truth. Anyone of us on this forum would have argued the facts better than those two.

I got to talk to him during the Minnesota series, I think he is an interesting chap. I think he likes following WNBA more than he likes hockey. He seemed interested in hockey as well and asked some pointed questions of the coaches.

Yeah good luck with that one, they can take the nickname and logo off of the jersey's but they can't tell people/Fans that they can't wear the Sioux jersey... I have a scan of the original letter posted on my blog as well.

It was an awesome article from Chuck Haga, but it does nothing in the way of getting NCAA approval for UND to keep the name. The NCAA doesn't care if there are 1000 of people that feel this way. Standing Rock didn't give approval for the name and the NCAA will not care about a state wide vote.

Nah! The fact that they have a home field advantage playing in their own arena and the mess it would cause them to have to move their team to Fargo for a series it would be a mess. Maybe you should talk to Derek the SID of woman's hockey and ask him what he thinks about that idea.

Isn't UND power play is 21.76 good for fourth in the WCHA. The Penalty Kill is the one that has dropped to 7th...
