Agreed. I gladly pay the monthly fee for the Herald subscription, even though I live in AZ now. UND's hockey coverage & content is the envy of every NCAA school...I hope that continues.
By paying the monthly fee, you get access to all of the Forum Communications sites, which includes BSU's and UMD's beat writers and the Rink Live.

I’d rather have the conference put on a game than the Engelstads. New York > Vegas, Nashville imo.
I bet the Steaming Service would be first-rate, too. I'd rather have UND put the game together.

I hate they put everything behind a paywall.
Why shouldn't he put his articles behind a paywall? Subscriptions are how they stay in business. Besides, $14 per month is worth it for great coverage of all things UND and local news. I think we're lucky to have the writers we have.

And get past the first-round of the FCS playoffs. We shouldn't be satisfied with just making the FCS playoffs. We should aspire to play in December and possibly January.

Wild take both games from the Bruins. Sorry Goon. Well not really
Ha, I get it, not everyone loves the Boston Bruins. I'll cross you off the list for the Brad Marchand Jersey.

At some point, we need a clean slate. Preferably sooner rather than later. New culture. New ideas. You either change the culture or the culture changes you. The past ten seasons have been okay, but could’ve been so much better. Bring in some outside influence and get this thing rolling.
I agree with you. I know this affects people's lives, but we need a house cleaning (starting at the top) and a restart. UND needs to develop a culture where teams don't want to play UND in the playoffs. I am tired of first round exits and getting beat in the first round at the Alerus Center. This program oozes mediocrity. Good enough isn't good enough anymore. This mindset that it takes time to build a winning program is a loser's limp. How many years do we need to do the same thing over and over again?

Does the 3 week tournament mean there will be 1 week fewer of non conference games? Why not just do the 3 game championship weekend at the remaining highest seed.
I would guess that it means one less bye week.

You are correct sir.

Minneapolis is too dangerous now.... Cost benefit analysis.... Eat choice... Wanna see attendance go down.... Wait for a fan to get murdered
Just a point of order, St Paul is where the Xcel Energy Center is located.

So bison fans can feel some of the pain
I'll be honest with you; I'd like to have a team as goes that deep into the playoffs as NDSU does and plays for a chance to make it to Frisco.

I was impressed with the Hawks last night. I don't know how good or bad UT was, but UND is starting the season on the right track.

Helix is awesome, too.

I refuse to go negative on a bunch of college kids. This team is good. Maybe we should give CC some credit.

Schloss doesn’t have the …… to ask a tough question. He like goon thinks there is nothing wrong with this team. I’m tired of excuses for UND teams especially in the playoffs.
Apparently, you missed that I just got done filleting NCHC.TV, but whatever lets you sleep at night. I just said there’s needs to be changes with UND football. It was one weekend. UND is going to lose a game here and there. Did you expect them to 24-0 in conference play. This is the toughest conference in college hockey. Based on how Berry sounded in Saturday, it appears that an illness is going through the locker room. Also, some of the guys looked a bit banged up.

Hopefully these games were anomolies and not what we will see in the second half. Berry has never been one to address players shortcomings just let em play , see Rhett Gardner.
You know this how?

So, the fact that the Jackrabbits are winning FCS titles is somehow diminished by not having won the old NCC since the 1960's?
We should focus on the present, not the past.
Exactly, that's horrendous logic. So, I am getting this vibe that some are happy with the status quo? Things are okay since we won in Division II. That mindset is the reason NDSU is marching along in the FCS playoffs while our favorite team is in the offseason. We're satisfied with being better than 75 percent of the teams. Doesn't anyone want to be the champion instead of the bridesmaid? The Fighting Hawks are the laughingstock in ND. People know that the Bison are the benchmark in North Dakota and laugh at us. As an Alum, I want us to be better. I am tired of first round exits and coaching contract extensions after 5-6 seasons. We should be pissed.

IMO he is saying trade for UND's facilities, fans, legacy, and upward protectory - we won numerous NCC championships, the Great West and Big Sky - a majority of schools have never won a conference championship. SDSU NEVER won the NCC.
Honestly, what does that have to do now? I mean seriously, most of those great memories were 30 years ago. Or 5-10 years ago. Yep, Big Sky Championship, that was awesome, and then our favorite team went out and lost to the Richmond Spiders in the first round. SDSU might have never won an NCC title, but they're quickly leaving UND in the dust, in football and in Men's and Women's basketball. Do we want to continue to accept mediocrity? We had fans that wanted to fire Berry because he hasn't won a second round NCAA hockey game since 2016. Why can't we have the same standards for the other sports? The UND football program is oozing mediocrity, and has been for along time.

1. I wish your venture well; however, I suspect its demise is more likely. I will be contributing directly to UND (for the tax implications) per usual.
2. I can argue "success" either way. Three quarters of FCS would trade with UND in a heartbeat. But measured against the xDSUs it's not enough. Conundrum.
3. Never trust an orange cat. One flooded a sibling's house. Not kidding. Tuxedo is the way to go.
So, If am reading you right: 75% of the FCS fans would trade with UND, meaning they'd accept a 7-5 season and a traditional first round exits every year?

Somehow still 2nd in the NCHC after that disaster of a weekend.
4 pts behind 1st place SCSU and 4 pts ahead of WMU.
All teams have played 8 games.5th in the PWR.
Where was UND last year at this time? Heck, a lot worse off.

With his vision he should be moving pucks quickly. He does have decent possession skills, but he walks the line so much that he misses multiple plays each sequence. He won’t make the next level if he doesn’t move pucks quicker.
Biggest bonehead play of the game was that HJ penalty when we were a man up. That can never happen. He should get pulled off the pp for a game or two after that one.
I talked about this with Virg Foss last night, too many passes. Just shot the F'N puck.

Just for the record, the sky is not falling. This isn’t last year. Today is a new day and UND 12-4-1, 5-2-0 in the NCHC and I predict a turn around tonight. By the way Schlossman predicted it would be a 3-2 CC win last night. When the score hit 2-2, I was taking pictures and mumbled F-Bomb!
