I actually think its a good rule that if the helment comes off the wistle is blown and the play stops It might actually save the health of some of our players in the long run. Hopefully we won't see any more playing without a helment penalties either, like the one Palmo got last season.
I didn't recognize his name at all. Actually I had a fun time with some Gopher fans we met down at the final five, and we drank with a bunch of them at a bar close to the X. So not all of them are irrational and act like Howard Dean on the verg of a melt down.
I have an nomination for the Idiot of the year award.
Someone forgot to take his medication. Prozac could do wonderful things for this person.
I honestly don't think UND is going to go 6-8-2 down the stretch this season. UND has more dept and skill and can rold 3-4 solid lines. I would put UND talent even above Minnesota this season. Thats why we play the games, what is going to happen if UND sweeps this series. We could have a serious melt down in Mpls...
I think that most of us true die in the wool Sioux fans do. Nothing is more offensive than seeing a Gopher win in hockey, unless it is a Bision win in football. Hate with a passion.
Actually I remember an article a couple of years back in the GF Herald and it mentioned that Herb Brooks had made mention about the reffing in college hockey and had said that the WCHA needs NHL quality reffing for their games
I think that is the point the refs need to be held accountable about the state of the officating in the WCHA. Some of the stuff that has taken place on the ice this season is a travesty and some head need to roll.
Then it sounds as if Pat has some conections in the Media. Hey PCM how about forwarding some of the discussions about the reffing on Siouxsports.com to the league office?
Actually UND isn't that bad on the power play any more. Take away the 0-28 they have been better. Remember the less than stellar PP is nixed by an awesome Penatly Kill. So in my opinion it is a wash. I think UND will improve on the PP by tourney time.
I am not they played one of the worst team in the WCHA and we just score a 12 spot. UND is the top scoring team in the WCHA UND is scoring 4.78 points per game and UofM is 4.38. UND and UofM are taking about the same number of penalty minutes and are the number one penantly killer in the WCHA. Actually UND pp is now at 18.8% good for 4th place.
Just to add to that these Facts UND has played 21 games and scored 106 goals and UofM has score 102 in 25 games. No I am not worried.
There is always a first for everything but I am not going to hold my breath because even when the Sioux were better than the Gophers during the later part of the 1990's we never did it so I think a split is a good prediction so if it happens I will be surprised, I would be shocked to see a couple of ties this weekend.
I have also wondered what Frank's real job was or what his back ground is?
I think Wooger gets paid like 100,000.00 a year to work for the UofM in the athletic department. I can't wait for this weekend.
I just want to see UND take two points this weekend anything beyond that is huge. Because in years past I can't for the life of me remember when UND swept UofM at home. Anyone know the answer to this one?
Actually as a loyal and avid UND fan I would trade the 100 goals in for a national title if we could. Then it would be a nice conversation piece... Its a fun discussion but I would bet that the team is not focused on it.
I never understood the logic why the coach of the Wild doesn't like a free wheeling defenseman on the point. Actually the Wild are hard to watch this year and they just got their 14th tie tonight, a record since the NHL went to the 4on4 over time. I shudder to think how many ties they wil have by the end of the season. Maybe if they had a free wheeling defenseman like Roche they could win a few more of these games. Because the Wild are hurting for goals this season.
