okay guys...LAST CHANCE!!! Word is, as of Friday night, about 8000 tickets sold for UND-GVSU III!! Good but still NOT ENOUGH! If you live within 50 miles of GF and are thinking..."well, I'll just stay at home and watch it on TV..." SHAME ON YOU! Call some friends, pile in the car and GO TO THE GAME! There's NO EXCUSE good enough not to attend the one and only Playoff game the Sioux will host this year!!! Especially considering who we're playing!!!! WE OWE THEM!! IF you can but choose not to go to this one...screw you!! We need fans WHO SHOW UP!!! Not fans who pick and choose games based on their own convenience...'nuff said! Let's GET IT ON!!!!

The UC-Davis game in '01 was televised and still drew a huge house but that game wasn't on a holiday weekend and that's what I'm worried about. Dave has a legit excuse and I hope it works out for his sake IF IT'S ON and anyone who stays home to watch it on TV instead of going is NUTS!! This could be the biggest game the Al has hosted since ndsWHO? bailed out of the league because they couldn't beat the Sioux. On a postive "note" (get it?) - sounds like the students will be able to put together a pep band so that's good but don't have enough for the marching band

it's just gonna take some time. I think womens hockey will become, at least, as popular as womens BB (1500-2000 regularly) but that took some time too. Patience is the key and continuing to keep the program growing...Shantel is doing a great job!!...I think she knows it's a long haul too...

Talked my in-laws who are big Sioux fans but live in Fargo and usually watch it on TV to come up next weekend so that's 2 more. Lets keep the ball rolling to get butts in the seats! Talked to some guys on the GV board and they're gonna have a good delegation here considering its a 14 hour drive and apparently they're not big on fan buses. They're making their own arrangements to pile into vehicles and make the llloonnngg roadtrip.

no offense meant...I know you guys like to keep up with the Sioux but we've got our own behinds to be worrieds about for this game...wouldn't you say "hey, I'll give up the chance to watch the game from a remote location on TV if it means 10 more butts in the seats (per person saying that) at the ACTUAL game?? If only 500 of you remote fans would say that...we'd get 5000 MORE in the seats!!!!! PS - I was at the UC-Davis game in 2001...and the UNA game in 2003....UC DAVIS was UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!! UNA was above average but not SUPER LOUD. THIS IS GVSU!!!! The REIGNING KING of DII coming to OUR HOUSE!! Let's give them a taste of ND hospitality!!!

it's not "official" as of right now - at least as far as the NCAA is concerned - but if it should happen....UND will host GVSU next weekend (a holiday weekend) and we need to start spreading the word NOW WE NEED BUTTS IN THE SEATS!!! We need to start the movement early to make sure as many students, alums, breathing humans in general need to BE AT THIS GAME!!! (I want UC-Davis 2001-levels baby!!) Here's a couple ways we can make this happen.... -- Email UND Athletics and tell them you DON'T want this game on TV!! (sorry out of towners! - you'll still be able access the webcast) TV Coverage will seriously hurt actual attendance!! -- Get a hold of every Sioux Fan you know and get their butts out to this game. It will take a real grassroots effort but this could be the BEST playoff game we've hosted EVER in the AL - and that's saying a lot since there have been some doozies in the last few years! Thanksgiving will be OVER and there's no reason to hang around home when a team with REAL CLASS and proud to be DII like Grand Valley is coming to town!! (Yeah, that's a poke at NDSU!! SO WHAT! They're at home playing with themselves right now!!!)...sorry- just had to get that in ) -- This is a great opportunity to get revenge for last years NC game and UNSEAT the defending (two time) National Champions!! I'll gladly entertain other reasons why we should pack the Al this weekend....NO WHINERS ALLOWED!!! C'mon guys...this is a great opportunity!!!

what would suck is it's a holiday weekend and we'd be missing a major chunk of the student section behind the Laker bench - razzing them until they turned BLUE (or BLUER!!!) It would be awesome to have a crowd like we had for UC-Davis back in 2001!! 11,500 people shrieking their heads off for the whole game!! North Alabama was close to that last year but that '01 game will always be burned into my brain for pure HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE atmosphere...

what was the problem with the old alignment in the first place?? # of schools or what? Seems like they've got the best DII contenders and conferences in the same region now and that waters down the total field.

Nope - 3 camera's - Top High - End Zone and Field Level - like St. Cloud - hopefully without shooting INTO the sun. The crew is doing the hockey game friday night - flying to Houghton Saturday morning then leaving right after the game to come back and do the hockey Saturday night.

and...of course...the FSSN! This is assuming fans in Fargo remember to call Cable ONE friday and tell them to have someone on hand to press the FRIGGING BUTTON for you so you can see it too!!!! Apparently, it was a bit of a problem last week! Don't be embarassed to call up Friday and tell them to MAKE SURE to have the game on!! I know we're just gutter-scrapers here in the lowly world of DII but if you want to watch the Bison this week you can catch them between mileposts 57 and 61 near Detroit Lakes picking up garbage for the "Adopt a Highway" program - they're sure as hell not playing FB
