  1. I wouldn't go quite that far, but I feel your pain. We are becoming like the Gophers of the Doug Woog era: Close, but no cigar. I'm a loyal Sioux fan and always will be, but this loss hurts.
  2. Amen and Amen! This program is about passion; both positive and negative. We'll be back next year, better than ever.
  3. Yes, I will be supporting the Dogs to go all the way. Duluth fans have NEVER experienced the Nirvana of an NCAA Championship in hockey. GO DOGS!!!
  4. While some of the postings on here have been overly emotional, for the most part, the criticisms have been legitimate. Losing faceoffs at critical times, not getting back on defense quickly enough, etc., those are legitimate points to make when analyzing why our favorite college sports team lost a big game. This is college sports and we are college sports fans and emotional, passionate opinions go with the territory. I just hate the idea that if you are a fan of a particular team, you have to go into "duckies and bunnies" mode when talking about them. I'll support this program win, lose or draw. But I am also not afraid to call it like I see it. If you disagree with that stance, I can respect that and we'll just agree to disagree.
  5. And you should stop with the "duckies and bunnies" preaching from the pulpit. There is nothing unclassy about constructive criticism of your team's performance. It goes with the territory when you put on that Fighting Sioux jersey. The players accept that. The coaches accept that. It's time you accept that. No one on here is going to stop being a fan of the program over any loss or bad performance. I'll be back at The Ralph next year like always. And we'll have a darn good team with the young talent we have coming back. End Rant.
  6. I think bcblues has a crystal ball that's all black inside.
  7. Please don't compare this storied program to the Cubs (no offense).
  8. Well, that's all folks.
  9. Here we go!!!
  10. This whole game is one big stinker for the defensive corps. Eidsness has been solid for the most part and the forwards have been producing. But all these odd-man rushes have to stop or we'll be hitting the golf course instead of tomorrow's regional final.
  11. As soon as I saw that, I knew it would cost us dearly at the end.
  12. Good point. Now that I think about it some more, I think losing all these face-offs at the end is more to blame than Eidsness.
  13. That answering machine tape would probably break every FCC rule in the book if it were aired!
  14. And the Boston College Eagles looked just as shocked when we tied it in the 2001 NCAA title game. And we all know how that ended.
  15. Was Eids looking for a hot dog and a Coke?!?! Couldn't that have waited until after the game?
  16. I'll get my money's worth at Sam's Club, I don't want to get it here!
  17. You still need one goal to advance. As do we.
  18. We choked in regulation.
  19. UNH scores with 0.3 seconds left. Unfreakingbelieveable!!!!
  20. Garth Snow probably told him that Lucia doesn't develop players.
  21. Time to win the faceoff, get the empty-netter and get ready for tomorrow.
  22. Offside UNH.
  23. COME ON BOYS!!!
  24. I hope Eidsness is ready to face some rubber......we are back on our heels.
  25. That was a waste of our time. It was obviously a goal.
