  1. Maybe they were under-counting to keep more of the gate? Terry Wanless was a master of that back in the 1990's.
  2. Let me guess, this isn't trolling either?
  3. Well, we hung #8 without Hakstol's discipline, so there's that. I think it's about losing 9 guys in one off-season and trying to replace them with freshman. I still think this team has some potential to be very good, but they need to start putting it together pretty soon. And next Saturday night is a good time and place to start.
  4. I don't think we hang #8 in April if Berry is too much of a players coach. I think this is just a very young team trying to figure out how to win at this level. I remember the 2005-06 team looking worse than this early on and look where they ended up.
  5. And I don't care how good of a road series Michigan State played, they are not a good team and they had no business getting a win and tie in our house. Some of these younger guys need to understand this isn't juniors anymore; you can't just glide through games and expect to win.
  6. I think some of the line-up changes Berry made after last night worked. But once again, we gave up one goal on a turnover with the man advantage and one goal off of a fluke bounce off of the boards. Those are what cost us the win tonight.
  7. But they seem intent on giving the game to A&T. And having a true freshman QB is not ideal for the playoffs.
  8. I have since amended my original comment to emphasize that I am not talking about people who made prior travel arrangements to go to NYC, but people who will sit at home and watch hockey instead of getting their butts to the Alerus Center to support Bubba and the boys.
  9. This better not happen. I want a wall to wall, 60 minute butt-whopping. Nothing less is good enough.
  10. I am aware of that. I am mainly aiming my angst at people who will sit at home and watch the hockey game vs. going to the Alerus to support our FB team in their first FCS playoff game. I amended my original message to reflect this. Bubba and his team deserve much better than 6 to 7,000 in the seats.
  11. This is a 2nd round FCS playoff game, not a MBB conference tournament. Not exactly the same thing.
  12. Regardless, it's a non-conference, regular season game in early December. Not exactly a Regional or Frozen Four. I hope when (not if) we make it to Frisco for the FCS title in the next several years, there isn't a MH game at home vs. an exhibition team the same day. Otherwise, it will cut down on FB attendance for that game too. PS: This message is aimed at people who will sit at home and watch hockey instead of getting out to the Alerus Center to support Bubba and the boys. Not people who made travel plans in advance.
  13. That's a big assumption and a big "would be".
  14. Here is the real douche comment. Stop trolling and add something constructive, will you?
  15. Thank you for reminding us what really matters in life.
  16. There was one mention of the playoff game during the second period and one mention of 2017 season tickets in the third period.
  17. He made some big-time saves in the 2nd period or this game would have been totally out of reach before the 3rd period.
  18. Yep, those B1G bottom-feeders block hard and tackle hard, so we have to tip our cap to them, right? Seriously, you are spot on with your analysis. Bad loss to a bad team at home. No other way to put it, no way to sugar-coat it. Tomorrow night is a must-win.
  19. This is a team we can and must sweep at home. 3-1 Friday and 5-0 Saturday.
  20. I would imagine so. It would help if next week's playoff game was advertised at the hockey games this weekend.
  21. We need to make a big push starting on Monday to get these seats sold. Right now, Thanksgiving and Black Friday is all people are thinking about.
  22. That isn't what I meant. I was trying to make the point that I think this team and program are beginning to attract some serious interest and that our attendance numbers will be going up and not down in the future.
  23. I share your feelings on the red-headed stepchild treatment FB has gotten over the years, but I do think it is changing. I do not believe we will have 5,500 for next Saturday's game like we did for some D-II home playoff games back in the early 2000's.
