Can someone go back and tell me how many screen passes UND attempted last weekend against the Bison?> I fell it was lower than usual. Need to get back to that type of game where Tommy dumps it off and lets our playmakers go make a play.

FCS playoff committee chair Jermaine Truax explains why Montana Grizzlies made the field
So let me get this straight. Here are the reasons Montana made it into the playoff field:
- "Quality loses" against the best teams in the Big Sky
- Loses were when their QB was out, so....MAYBE they would have won
- "Success" against MVFC teams (even though those teams finished 9th and 10th in the conference standings"
- "Success" against a Southland team that finished the season 4-7
- "Student athlete experience"
- The finanacial bid wasn't a factor.
Got it. Makes perfect sense. Well deserved Montana!!

Silver lining....This has provided a nice distraction from arguing about the game result Saturday to arguing about the playoff committee decisions!!

Remember, against Montana St, Weber had 4 punts that were snapped over the head of the punter and all resulted in a safety. This is defintiely one aspect of the game UND has the edge in considering all our punt and kick blocks this year.

SEMO went 9-2 and won thier conference. They have to go on the road against a 7-4 Montana team that finished 6th in their conference. So in that matchup, they went with the highest bid not game performance. So why use one citeria in one scenario, and a differenct criteria in the other?! That's the fustrating part.

The Selection Committee basically awarded Weber the 9 seed and gave them a home playoff game.

Clearly bids don't mean anything. If you are going to award teams based off "team performance" than just seed every team in the field to remove all doubt.

NDSU gets the 3. Different side of the bracket as Montana St and SDSU. If you are a Bison fan, couldn’t ask for a better scenario.

UND wins, gets seeded, NDSU has to play on Thansgiving weekend, if they win they come to the Alerus Center!! Now that would be pretty good!!

Yeah, Youngstown plays Southern Illinois. So not sure what Kolpack is talking about. Muct have been looking at last weeks game. (Which Missouri State won)
If Youngstown wins and UND loses, they have pretty similar season:
- Both 7-4
- Both 5-3 in the MVFC
- Both with an FBS loss
- Both teams "bad losses" would be teams thatlikely finish 5-6
What pushes UND over the top is their SOS is going to be much higher than Youngstown. Plus, oh I don't know, WE BEAT THEM!! And on the road.
If 3 MVFC teams make the playoffs, the 3rd is almost certainly UND, no Youngstown. (In my unbiased humble oinion
)

For those that are looking to see what the banter is over on Bisonville about this game, I suggest you don't waste your time. YOur typical not taking us seriously, this game means more to UND cause they think we are their rivals, and othe stuff that us utter nonsense. Makes you really appreciate the people over here on Siouxsports. Sure we have our random thread drifing moments, but at least we can have a thread and even with fans of another schoola nd have a confversation. Just a complete dumpster dfire over there.
I can't imagine what it would be like on there if they lose on Saturday!!

FCS playoffs week 1: UND @ Weber State

Angle it to the sidelines every time. If it goes out of bound...perfectly fine. Ball is placed at the 35. Only 10 yards better than a touchback/fair catch. Sure beats a return down to our own 15!!
