sometimes i listen to a radio station out of winnipeg and the callers always say the prices of everything Jets related are too high..........WELP....u are the smallest market in maybe all of professional sports........should've thought this out a little more

There's that and that area of Winnipeg is not a desirable area to be in, especially at night.

    A bit stabby.

Shame as it used to be a spectacular time to hit a game.

  2. I stand corrected as all of those arenas you pictured have scoreboards... almost as big and as low as the one at REA....   but not as big or as low but anywho.

I guess I shouldn't be held accountable for not knowing those arenas had scoreboards and still had indoor football.

As there is literally dozens of people you have been in those arenas while football was taking place.

In fact, I think you could make a $100,000 easy with indoor football in Grand Forks...

Of course, you'd have to start with about 4 million ... but at some point, before you lost all of it, an accountant could easily point out an exact time you had $100,000 left.

Agree. Didn’t seem like he was enjoying his job this year.

Did you see the type of people he was be critized by?

You'd bail too if  drunked inbreds clad in denim bibs with the IQ of a shoe was screaming for your head every week.

He got out and a increased his take by a ton too. Good for him.

    Absolutely serious.  A position coach?

Are you completely oblivious as to what FCS football is?

    Basketball analogy.

He's leaving as Coach of a team that had a chance to win another Pembina B squad Tourney...

to coach on a staff of a Varsity program in California.

One would have to be a frightening level of stupid to think this isn't a massive upgrade.

    **EDIT**

OMG I just saw some fbook comments... I should have realized how arrogant and foolish the Bi-son fans are in respect to what they think their program is..

     my gawd these people breed.

    Scary

the above pic is maybe why REA should look into adding some sort of indoor football............empty!

"THERE IS NEVER ANYTHING TO DO IN GRAND FORKS IN THE SUMMER!".

On a Friday or Saturday night in July a little tailgating and some indoor football would be fun.

Think you might be missing the obvious here.... but that little scoreboard thing doesn't just get folded up and put in a closet for a football game.

IFL has zero chance of success in the REA

    or Grand Forks

or North Dakota for that matter.

    See: All previous examples.

He may need more time to develop but he is as good as gone after this season.  It's all about Jackson and Jackson wants to be in the NHL so he will go.

That would be a very very foolish and arrogant mistake.

If Blake leaves after this season, he'll be an ECHL lifer at best.

The name and connections (the most important factor in hockey prospect management today)

.......will guarantee him games in the American, but not many.

Like the poster above, I think he's further from ready than I had thought.  The deal with him is that he is top six or bust.  He does not have a bottom six game.  So he's got to be truly exceptional to get a spot.  His elusiveness is at that level, elite at this level and maybe even in the NHL.  But he simply won't play there, whether he wants to or not, when he's so loose with the puck.  Carolina, especially, has forwards who are hard on the puck.  They would have a problem with one of these turnovers per game, let alone five or more.  He's amazingly explosive here, but will have to be more careful down the stretch this year.

    This.

Yeah he is nowhere near being able to play the pro game yet. Not when you’re a consistently a defensive liability

This is just the absolute truth.

He is a selfish player who only cares about offense.  He thinks he is still playing youth hockey.

First sentence assumes a hell of a lot but unfortunately the performance justifies the second sentence completely.

Blake has a lot to learn, he isn’t anywhere close to being ready to turn pro. That said, he wouldn’t be the first player to make a stupid decision.

    See... Tyson Jost.

I don't agree. he would be given a few years in the AHL. If he wasn't able to cut it in AHL his best move at that point would to be go overseas. Not alot of room in the ECHL for finesse.

That said, I think he has elite skill and will figure it out.

The way I see it he has 2 paths.

Believe the arrogant voices in his ear and leave for the AHL..(zero room in the coast for his skill set)......struggle in the American trying ro maintain a top 6 role before heading to Europe (for quite possibly a very profitable and fulfilling career)

    or

stay one two more years, mature, grow and develop the areas of his game that are needed and then sign for games in the National before tying to find his way into a top 6 role in the American... before heading to Europe for quite possibly a very profitable and fulfilling career with a completed education to boot.

GF hasn't had much success with semi pro Baseball (Varmints) , colleges (Channel Cats) and semi pro football (tri city North Stars) . If UND football can't pack the alerus, I can't see a IFL team being successful

Because when it is spring and summer here, the last thing people want to do is go indoors to watch a game.  Most people are ready to get out golfing or get to the lake.

    This.

    Then there's also....

    This....

IFL would be better suited for one of the old empty anchor stores at the Columbia mall... cause that's where everything goes to fail.

Everyone knows about the fabulous Sunmart rink home of the Fargo Angels. I’ve heard they are building a new rink. Will it be located near Shanley?

I thought the Angels had announced plans to fundraise for a rink somewhere in West Fargo close to the Lights area?

Dilute the west even more when they come on board

It will. Dramatically. WDA as a whole is

But at the same time Minot fills a: Varsity team

    JV team

    A Junior Gold team

and I was told there's still a significant number of kids that were told "no place to play, you're done with hockey."

    That's a school board nightmare

But that only takes into account pure numbers and not where they proportionally live throughout the two districts.

(Every kid that isn't a senior on the varsity with the JV)

    No that's not true,

the JV kids play and any new varsity players into the program (in their freshman, sophomore or junior year play the game, but no they do not send any of their JR (or Sr)  players who are returning varsity players to play in the those games.

I do believe It will bite someone in the end eventually, probablyhas in the past somewhere.. almost was Century last week and that was just for 3 points.

It 100% is due to trying to get as many quality varsity non-conf games as possible in the archaic NDHSAA system... same way EDC doesn't have to schedule a May-Port.

BHS tried to 6 point them.... and with their varsity, could not.

Good on Hazen for working hard and competing.

Because they aren’t very good since Legacy came into the picture

Legacy has had next to zero impact on players "taken" from BHS.

This is a boogeyman myth spread by a few wack job conspiracy theory parents and Media guys.

    It's just absolutely not true.

There are only a few at most, players who would have been playing for BHS since Legacy was formed, and frankly they would not make a negligible difference at the varsity level, sorry thats the truth.

95% of Legacy players came from the prior Century district lines.

BHS is not, was not, and will not be significantly effected by the Legacy program.

Sorry but really tired of this false narrative.

  12. 1 hour ago, Wilbur said:

Peluso saw this coming for the Demons....

These depths could have been avoided though, frankly the team that BHS "could" have had this year would be right there with Century, Mandan, Minot, and Legacy battling for state berths and maybe more.

The lengths people have gone to NOT have their kids participate in the program is alarming, at least it should have been alarming.

The things I've heard from the kids and parents who have moved on and/or away are heartbreaking.

Lots of mistakes, attitudes, and ignorance throughout the situation over the past four or five years and it's manifested in the kids.... many have failed them.

    It's shameful and sad.

  13. The same Hazen team that lost to Century's JV a few days before just kicked the ever-loving crap out of Bismarck High last night...

They were up 4 rip not even halfway through the 1st before Hazen took the foot off the gas a little, actually had them in runtime for a while in the 3rd.

    Times have changed a bit
