  1. Arrington starts at RB and gets a lot of the carries. Likely Studsrud at QB.
  2. Sounds like there is a lot more give and take between the offense and defense in the scrimmages this spring season. I don't expect UNDs passing game to light it up this season, but I expect the running game to hopefully improve, and it appears that it has with more OL experience and an upgrade at halfback with Arrington. Und's defense will be tough and the strength of the team, and with an improved running game, UND will definitely be a better team in 2015.
  3. Of course there won't be; the place will be packed to the rafters. NDSU fans are as excited as anyone for this game, but they just tell themselves not to show it in a pathetic attempt to somehow upset UND fans.
  4. Between the poor 2014-15 record and mass exodus of players and coaches, I honestly don't have any lofty expectations for 2015-16. Will enjoy any success the MBB program happens to squeak out. I'm mostly upset at the expectations set by the athletic administration at UND for UND MBB. It's ridiculous and Faison needs to wake up. Having a coach go into his 10th season with a losing record is certainly questionable, and the Betty needs upgrades.
  5. The rivalry is still very much so alive. Not playing NDSU directly in football has hurt the rivalry some, but annual games in basketball and volleyball certainly has kept it going. With UND playing NDSU this upcoming season in football, the status of the rivalry is only going to escalate.
  6. Someone's a little bothered, uhh? NDSU has done very well since moving up, that much is clear, but UND will get to where NDSU is in due time. UND has a commitment to hockey which has slowed the support to football and basketball a bit, but it's coming around. As for the rivalry and it's discontinuance ON THE SCHEDULE , get over it. UND will ALWAYS be NDSU's number one rival and NDSU supporters looked/ look like idiots for denying that. It should be on the schedule every year, and NDSU's arrogance is as much to blame for that as UND's mindset in the mid 2000s.
  7. NDSU supporters' heads have got so big they can't think straight. Of course the UND-NDSU game was going to bring a high price. The atmosphere of the game in September is going to be unreal; UND is NDSU's only actual rival and it's just the truth.
  8. Just off the top of my head, I'd say all 4 of UND's starting linebackers could be a top 10 Big Sky player at their position, with ILB Will Ratelle being in the running for the top linebacker in the entire Big Sky Conference. S Cole Reyes is a top 10 safety in the BSC. LG Brandon Anderson is a top 10 offensive lineman in the BSC. A lot of players in line this season to possibly make the top 10. Players that come to mind are RB Ja'Won Arrington, TE Zach Adler, WR Clive Georges, DE Dranka, DE Carrothers, DE Greeley, NT Hinojosa, CB Deion Harris, CB Chris Carter, and S Johnson. The potential is thick with the defense, and the hope is the FBS transfers at RB and WR (Arrington and Georges) translate into top BSC players at their position. Probably the most important potential question is at quarterback. If one of UND's quarterbacks can break into the top 10 that would go a long ways towards success.
  9. No. Champions Club Ball is in the Alerus that night (April 25). Still will be fun to watch it at Memorial.
  10. Depth is key, but the transfer could possibly play starting fullback and be a key special teams contributor also. Plenty of spots open...
  11. "...at least..." Considering where this program has been in DI, don't get greedy. Nevertheless, I perfectly understand what it takes to be considered a top FCS program (there's one just 80 miles south of GF), and I think UND may be on their way. Also, the actual goal that Bubba has set out is to win the Big Sky Conference every season.
  12. Won't have to wait long for that. UND wins at least 6 in 2015, giving UND football first BSC winning season. Although I have been real critical of coaches in the past, particularly Mussman and Jones, I have so much faith and have been so impressed with Coach Bubba and Schmidty it's unreal. I honestly think their open-mindness and great fit for the university will translate into great things for UND football.
  13. No doubt. UND's athletic department has definitely had their fair share of priority issues.
  14. Outdoors at Memorial.... I doubt we see more than a thousand. Should be a fun game to watch though, as Bubba definitely has UND football on the rise.
  15. I'll believe it when I see it. Sounds way too good to be true right now.
  16. It's not a matter of "liking" Jones, I just don't think Jones has the demeanor and ability to coach UND in critical moments of a basketball game. Therefore, UND will need to have a very talented roster to overcome the coaching shortcomings of Jones.
  17. They're pretty goofy looking, but they're not as bad as some make them out to be. Adidas makes uniforms that are just fine. Heck, many Adidas sponsored programs have a nice, traditional look, including Wisconsin when not wearing these goofy ones.
  18. Nice stable of backs starting to take shape!
  19. How did Wisconsin ever make it to the national championship game??? They are sponsored by Adidas and they wear Adidas gear!! I guess only the true basketball genius, Brian Jones, knows that answer.
  20. Oh, please do tell more...
  21. A LOT of people out there of this bandwagon type; "UND hockey and NDSU football fans". To me, these fans oppose UND football and basketball; therefore, they aren't true UND fans. They support UND hockey only because NDSU does not have a hockey team. This doesn't help out UND athletics as a whole (football and basketball included).
  22. Size as in mass, weight, physique, build, strength, girth, muscle
  23. From all reports, it appears Bubba is increasing the size of UND's roster. This is necessary for UND to be a competitive D1 football program. I think Bubba recognized this immediately and has addressed it. I think UND will be more physical running the football this season which will bode well for the offensive production. Edit: By size, I mean average weight of players by position, particularly skill positions (RBs and DBs)
  24. UND football is in the midst of a very promising spring football session and you choose to comment on the attandance of a UND hockey game a week after the fact? To each their own I guess, but you're really only defending "die hard" UND hockey fans, not UND football fans. I could care less what the actual fan loyalties were/are right now. Right now I only care about the future of UND football, which looks promising. With a return to winning for UND football, fandom for UND football will undoubtedly increase.
  25. If not NDSU football fans, then UND hockey-only fans were of the majority. There's a difference between UND fans and UND hockey-only fans. UND hockey-only fans mock UND football more than NDSU fans do. The bandwagon fans require winning before they just up and leave NDSU football for UND football.
