  1. Been going on with UND football since 2008 …
  2. You wonder why UND chokes in everything? One of the few schools (especially at their size) that has more internal competition between fellow athletic department programs than with their actual opponents … Also, internal competition within the fan base with this damn logo/nickname issue … It never ends …
  3. Need someone to lead the fundraiser, reach out to UND football alumni base - which is large. We would get this thing paid for pretty quick, just need a leader to rally this thing. If no one steps up, I’ll look into it with the Alumni Association and Champions Club. Biggest decision/question is white or black helmet?!!
  4. I agree can’t do another green, would be a waste. Do either black or white. grey jerseys are retired, and for good reason. They were hideous. Stick to green, white, and black.
  5. UND could’ve forced this change, but instead Georgia Southern did the honors …
  6. UND gave up dagger passes and runs in 4th quarter vs Nebraska. They also gave up big passes and runs vs UNI. I hope this gets corrected and doesn’t continue to be an issue, or it will cost UND several games this season. 2022 UND football team through two games is an offensive football team with the defense being a liability.
  7. Nope. I come from a coaching background. Always things to improve. Get your hand stuck/caught in the cookie jar and you won’t get any more wins … Being a UND football fan, you should be more than familiar with this concept. It’s been rough to UND football since going DI, particularly trying to stay consistent.
  8. Grand Forks is an isolated cultural colony of hockey surrounded by a nation of cultural obsession to American football. It’s interesting, and sort of disturbing… Interesting 20 year effect that the Engelstads put into motion by providing Vegas money.
  9. Remove curtains from catwalk. Allow anyone up there to watch game like the good ol’ days but also have some seats for reserved seating. Best of both worlds … Need better intro, more suspense, more excitement bigger more expensive idea; construction project that allows natural light into building
  10. Oklahoma will win. UND should’ve beat Nebraska. That 4th quarter collapse is not looking as excusable now.
  11. Could be … Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Would like to see this squad be able to win a single road game before claiming them the next great thing. NAU game is definitely winnable but it is a road game at high elevation … NAU just beat Sam Houston State in Huntsville. UND will need to improve and not be stagnant. Have to prevent the big play better.
  12. Nebraska is a fraud. UND losing by 21 points is actually looking very disappointing now. Furthermore, we are seeing concerning themes on defense; that is, UND gives up big plays on the ground and through the air. Need to see some improvement. In the short term, fortunately, it doesn’t look like Northern Arizona has a great offense this year, but will UND make them look good?? Let’s see if Bubba and Holinka and the team can bolster the defense by 9/17…
  13. Since Halloween 2018, UND is 16-1 at home with the lone loss to FCS superpower North Dakota State by six points. If just winning was the simple solution, as some on here claim, then UND/Alerus Center should be seeing sellouts. That’s not the case. Perhaps start winning on the road and attendance will boost? it goes beyond that; Alerus Center needs to change things. It’s okay, just not great, right now. The intro could be way more energetic and suspenseful. But that’s just a minor thing that wouldn’t influence attendance. Bigger picture, a construction project that lets in natural light would maybe be a more expensive but more promising way to boost the Alerus Center atmosphere.
  14. Nebraska gashed UND on the ground and UNI also scored on a couple long runs. Tough to watch. UND needs to shore that up. Corner spot opposite of Siegel is a major concern also. UND still plays SDSU and NDSU … UND will be playing plenty of good players yet. Raise expectations. This win won’t mean anything if team doesn’t continue to improve.
  15. Students showed up. Intro could’ve been better, but was okay. Band continues to play a lot when UND is on offense. All in all, Alerus Center and UND athletic department are doing enough, but could do more.
  16. Nope, wrong. Moving students had nothing to do with this. Coming off a 5-6 season doesn’t help. And Alerus Center and UND need to improve somethings in Alerus Center, but will discuss specifics some other time.
  17. yeah, I’d go more with good day Today showed UND’s future opponents that UND has major defensive issues that need to be corrected
  18. I agree with that.
  19. Defense was god awful today. Offense won the game for UND. Three long touchdowns given up by UND defense … including a 1-play 70+ yard touchdown pass. Not good. Defense has some major work to do, but it can be improved …
  20. UND 24 UNI 21
  21. That’s fine, I expected some people to disagree. I think he’s average at best as a MVFC specialist, but he can serve multiple roles which is valuable.
  22. Even Boise has white and black alternative helmets to deviate from standard blue going with another version of a green helmet would be a waste in my opinion. Some people wouldn’t even notice. i think you go with all white or all black for a change up to the status quo - would pop out much much more
  23. Unpopular take, but I’ve never been too impressed with Skokna. Hoosman is a different type of player but overall is an upgrade. Isaiah Smith has star potential if can stay healthy. Like the 2 man backfield coming together, with some Red Wilson sprinkled in there.
  24. Huge crowd, Danny boy
  25. Well, I could say something to that effect but will hold off.
