We got lucky on the kickoff return. The Duluth player beat our kicker and tripped on his own feat. Duluth on the Sioux 41.

I know Belmore had a good scramble during the drive as well, but I missed the yardage. Encouraging that we completing that third and 10 as well. Dressler now tied for 6th on TD list.

Duluth doesn't like to run with only averaging 60 yards a game. UND stops the run, but knows Duluth passes a lot. I expect our defense to play with the linebackers dropping back more. I also think Bubba will throw a wrinkle a run more than usual. Even if it is the QB doing it.

I would like to see Walski get a game, but I think Greico has earned another shot. He is supposed to be the goalie when Lammy leaves, so he might as well get some experience.

I can't agree with this. Two goals were on the PP as cross ice passes. He stopped two or three others like that. One goal was weak and the other one was a beatiful break-away goal. He isn't a butterfly goalie, so he does give up rebounds. I thought he was kicking them out pretty far or too the boards. It did hurt that he couldn't cover the puck during the penalty kill.

I have to disagree. It was only loud because the song playing was really loud. It was like being at a Vikes game. They also have a cowbell guy, but he is horrible. I can't believe the WCHA and NCAA allow the fans to have artificial noisemakers, because I believe it's a rule. Between the cowbells and some kazoo type thing only one word comes to mind" Annoying. I know the NCAA was going to try and enforce it's policy for football, but decided not to.

Went to the game last night. Had a good time. Beer is only 4 bucks and they have Grain Belt. Home made jerky too. Most have already gave their impressions and I agree. Let me add a few things. Greico made some big saves, but he is a stand-up goalie so it takes some getting used to. Lots of rebounds, but he does a good job kicking them out far. However, it hurt us at times during the penalty kill because he didn't get the faceoff. Also, the Mavs second goal was a mistake on his part. It looked like he was beat short side from an angle that it shouldn't happen. Oshie didn't do much, but it seemed like he was being shadowed. We have to quit taking penalties. I felt the last one on Brian Lee was weak, but I was at other end. Then Hak has long conference with Anderson. It payed off, because Anderson called a weak one on the Mavs and we scored.

According to Tim Brando (the host on CBS), CBS wanted nothing to do with changing the name and it was either the Georgia pres or AD that sent them a letter saying that they couldn't use that term. He talked about this on his radio show end of last week.

Let's clarify for everyone: It's two refs and two lineman for a total of four officials on the ice. And yes they were in the way. A lot. Even odder is that all four missed a high stick that led to a Maine goal on Friday. Tonight when the Sioux had the 5 on 3 PP they missed the puck hitting the net and Maine was able to clear. Cost us about 15 seconds I suppose.

Just Nebraska. Always check when they are playing. Normally, the organizers will try and help Sioux fans find a place to sit, but the pep band and go big red chants get old. I kept looking for their stick of gum mascot, but never saw it.
