Does Pac12 have an app for streaming boxes? Anything like Big10?

Yes, but like Big10 I think you need cable carrier to be able to access.  Or borrow someone's login.

Casey Benson, the jr Oregon guard, is going to graduate and transfer.  Didn't his dad play at Red River?  Supposedly he'll transfer to GCU and play his final year there.  Would have been nice to get him here.

Thought I saw something about a brother coaching there.  But what a weird transfer.  Final Four The Nike school with all the bells and whistles to Grand Canyon.

Lets say someone is leaving the Missouri Valley.  the SU's would leave the Summit in a heartbeat to get fully into that conference and we'd be right back to where we started except with absolutely zero names to play.

Well I had a bad feeling something like this would happen and while not a for sure it seems quite possible.  I wanted to stay in the Big Sky and now I'm not so sure that would be possible since we announced the switch.  So would NDSU bolt?  The SD's??? I get that there would be more money for a bit, but is that conference that prestigious anymore???

It would be quite ironic for NDSU to go to a conference where they are the outlier and have more difficult travel (1 bus trip?) and really no regional rivals after all the grief they gave us.

Faison and Kennedy would be forced back to the Big Sky or work out a deal to realign the WAC.

At this point I don't see them allowing us to come back.  Not only are we winning, but most of the schools hate traveling to GF.  Or are we not officially out yet?

Sydney Boike has left the team because of physical limitations.

I'm assuming you mean injury and not that she just isn't physical good enough.  Did she have knee injury in high school?  Hate to see things like that wreck a chance for someone to play.

Seeing her in high school I wasn't sure if she'd ever get much playing time.  She's athletic and was good, but played post in high school and I'm not sure she was big enough for that at D1.  I also wonder with the TRF commit.  That girl has some size but needs to learn how to use it and is a bit raw.

I'm hoping and assuming Craft beer isn't that 3.2 bullcrap they're found of in Utah

My understanding is that out of a tap it is 3.2.  I read one of the breweries has a tapless tap room and serves out of bottles so that they can have higher alcohol content.  Hopefully they all do this.

I went to K-zoo for the Saturday hockey game against WMU. The Hopslam at Bell's before the game definitely tasted better than it did at a neighborhood bar after the game. It could have been the bitter taste of defeat, but I think freshness matters with Hopslam. As far as others to try, Alaskan Brewing Co. Hopothermia was pretty darn good, but I've not seen it around here lately. Is Alaskan distributed in ND?

Hopothermia is awesome and yes it is distributed in ND.  Swear I saw it other week and Harry's, but I know I've bought it in summer as well.

So how are we supposed to feel about this?

Hermantown - people have been screaming for them to move up to AA for years.  What is it now, 8th straight A championship game?

Cathedral - Private school playing A.  Do I need to say more?

MAML - a former AA school that has AA enrollment, petitions to move down and 1st year goes to the A title game?

Personally, I was going for the rest of the field, Luverne, EGF, Northfield, and Mahtomedi in that order.

And for a Catholic school they are very large at 450.  That would be bigger than Breck and I believe Blake.

Oh and good things going on there as they like to freak out when "420" is left on the clock.

  9. Grand Forks is more of a beer town than I thought it was.  They can handle a couple more brewers.  Just look how well Rhombus is doing.  Brick and Barley seems to be doing well everytime I am in there like last night.  Tried a couple beers from Revelation out of Hallock.  It was fine, but nothing special.

I do think too many brewers come up with their core recipes and forget to try anything new.  Which is why I love a brewery like Alaskan.  When I went there they said they always let employees come up with brew.  Some bomb and some end up being released.  This is where you get their pilot series beers.

BTW went to new brewery in the Minneapolis called Utepils that has a cool bar / tasting room.  They do more of the European style beers if looking for something different.

Fargo the town not the brewery. Fargo brewing is the safe one in Fargo.  Flatland Drekker and Junkyard all blow them out of the water in both quality and variety.

I gotcha now.  And yes I agree.

Their beer just isn't good. Fargo has a ton of really good beer right now. Even little Flatland has some great beers. Rhombus is trying to be like Fargo Brewing except they aren't as good.

I'm going to so disagree and feel the complete opposite.  I've tried almost 2000 different beers and don't ever come back to Fargo's as I have almost felt they just played it safe to go mainstream.  Where I've felt Rhombus beers have been more flavorful.  Yes a bit safe, but every flavor has quality.  My only complaint is they could be hoppier, but that is getting beer snobbish.

  12. Hockey not having pros affects every nation except probably Canada. Imagine if basketball was played in winter like it truly is in every league.  They'd have same issue except USA would not be as affected.  So Olympics needs to move hockey to summer or the battle of injuries and NHL playoffs will always be a much bigger issue.  Olympics is great, but hasn't translated to the returns that NHL needs.

I want all the best players to be in the Olympics.  It only happens every 4 years.  Heck reduce the season schedule by 2 - 4 games to make it work and get some money concessions from players.  If it's that important to players they can take a pay cut.

So sick of St Hermantown Academy in the A tournament.  24 A tournaments since the two-class system was implemented - Hermantown has been in 14 of them.  So much for the idea of "more teams' being able to play in the state tournamnent.  Luverne, sure, but Hermantown makes it a joke year after year.

To add fuel to your fire it sounds like Hermantown is staying class A while Duluth Marshal staying AA.  Was this a Roseau move by Marshal to avoid Hermantown (Warroad recruiting)? I can't truly blame Hermantown as they have only just over 600 students.  Monticello plays as a coop and their own high school is over 1100 without accounting for other schools and they made state class A.  Delano is over 700.  EGF is barely over 500.  I believe in the last classification Bemidji opts up to AA and they have about 1500 students.  New sections announced soon.  However lots of fuel to fire that "the" Blake school is finally moving up in some sports.  See girls hockey and tennis results for them.  They don't even play single A schools in tennis until sections.

Oh and my favorite part of being at the tourney was entire crowd except Hermantown pathetic section erupting when Luverne tied it at 2.  No one knew who the Hermantown section was because they themed it as USA and wore red which is Luverne color.

Surprised Luverne kept up with Hermantown as they made EGF look fast today and that was after EGF finished after 11 last night and had about 12 hour turnaround.  Which I don't get since Mariucci had nothing else going on.

  14. Too many posts to quote, but a few thoughts on MN/ND debate.

Haven't seen Hermantown this year, but Central would probably win MN class A.  AA I would think they could do well, but I haven't seen the AA schools this year.  The better debate is if they are better than 2014 EGF first state title team.  I would pay a lot of money to watch that and I think EGF wins as they didn't let great teams take very many shots. That EGF team could've competed very well at AA state and if I'm not mistaken they had against those schools during bantams (before AA split?)  Sometimes the smaller towns catch lightning in a bottle.  Keep in mind that year EGF went down to #1 ranked AA Blaine and beat them and turned around on half day rest to play St. Cloud Cathedral (can't remember result).  Hell it might have been flipped and they beat Blaine in afternoon after night game.  I heard Blaine was so pissed they asked to come to EGF the next year and play the one game.  And yes they drove through blizzard to lose again.

Things go in streaks and that is why you don't move to AA.  Roseau travel is stupid they have to do and they haven't been having as much success. What always helped was how bad rest of 8AA was.  Warroad used to dominate with their recruits.  Lately quite mediocre since last couple Canadians left. (BTW their girls team has a lot of Canadians including best players).

This year NW MN hockey might be the worst it's ever been.  This year's EGF team may not have finished in top half of section last year, though by scores it seems they've played well against other solid A schools.  TRF lost 16 layers from last year and has giant hazing issue to deal with.  Warroad has no scoring.  Almost every team had to replace a goalie.  AA isn't much better though Moorhead seems solid.  Bemidji has upped game but tries to goon it up too much.  EGF and Moorhead should make state and then we will see what happens.  Moorhead I will guess struggles.  EGF right around 4 or 5 but I wouldn't be surprised if finish higher or lower.

Oh and I think a combined GF team would do fine at AA state and there have been years / teams that could've certainly won it all.  One thing to remember in MN is that sometimes it's harder to get out of own section than winning state.  This was the case for EGF second state title.  And for the Cities AA schools this is a huge issue year in and year out.

I believe the MVFC puts all their games on ESPN3, so no loss there.

Most all of the Summit BB games are on ESPN3, as well.

Do they put the women's basketball games there?  I know volleyball isn't free to watch as NDSU wanted $7 to watch the match.  For me, not being able to view road games for free is a huge detriment.  If I'm home I throw the game on the computer.

Sounds like a number of so-called role players found their stride over the last couple of games in Szabla's absence and with Fallon in foul trouble early last night.  Just what we need heading into the conference season. :)

Illness for Szabla must be pretty serious as she didn't play again.  Third straight game and in about 2 weeks I believe.

Their QB had harsh words for the Administration for moving them down to FCS. Wonder how it will affect recruiting. Less money is a factor.

How will this work for Idaho??? Essentially recruiting guys right now saying we can't give you a scholarship because we are dropping down?  Do they go a recruiting class or or 2 without scholarship players?
