    Just stupid!

3 corona cases in OH.......just THREE!

68K at OSU......11.7M people in OH.......and again 3 cases in the entire state of OH. Anyone want to give me odds more than 3 people in OH died from the flu this season?

Is this seriously where we are gonna go as a nation......it is getting absolutely ridiculous.

The surgeon general came out yesterday and basically said if you are not an older and/or unhealthy individual but are a child or healthy young adult you have much better odds of mortality from the flu. The coronavirus is LESS severe in otherwise healthy patients under 60 than influenza. 20K+ dead....34M infected from the flu and those numbers are on the low end what the CDC is coming up with at this stage.

But I'm sure someone in the media will say the surgeon general's comments are racist because he's a black person or they are misogynistic because women have died from corona.

    Hysteria media driven crisis.....period.

Is this the same guy that said Trump is healthier than surgeon general is??? So you don't trust the media.  I don't trust this guy. (not saying I like what media is doing, but I never do which is why I don't watch it).

While I personally am more worried about other deadly situations despite the fact that so far four people in my office building have tested positive, I understand that city and hospital officials are more concerned.

There is no vaccine, it spreads as fast as, if not faster, than the flu, the known death rate is higher than the flu, and hospitals can't handle a massive number of cases regardless of the illness.

There's a reason events here in Europe are being canceled: the hospitals are full. I can understand why cities could be asking for these events to be canceled. If 1% of a regional gets sick, you're looking at maybe 80 people.  If 1% of Detroit gets sick, there's a major problem.

Not to mention that this lasts a lot longer than the flu so those hospital beds don't turn over as fast.

GF kids leaving for EGF is pretty rare. This Season is the first time I can recall it happening in quite a while

Slightly different, but the last two years they've had GF kids that went juniors and then weren't allowed to play for GF so went to EGF.  One was the goalie this year and he still had to sit out last year per some ban Red River put on him.  I might've messed that up though as heard the news a long time ago.

That's what happens when you have 8 sections and some care more about basketball.  Hutchinson may have been lucky to be a #4 seed in Section 8.

And in section 8 basketball is dominated by the southern Highway 10 schools that don't have hockey.

You can't seed half the state and play two region tourneys.  Each section has about 10 teams.

I should also note that yes class A always has two sections that send teams that don't belong.  Usually from the southern part of the state though Fergus was that team throughout the late 90s early 00s.  Teams up north would love to get more in, but it is what makes making state so special as the section tourney up north can be a grind.  I believe Warroad, EGF, and TRF were all ranked in the top 10.  Only one made state.

Man, ASU had three 5min major penalties tonight against UW.
    That's a rough night.

and a player leave the bench during fight so he can't play in NCAA if they make it.  Last year they had a player suspended for the first round game as well.  Their regular season is now over and they sit and wait a long time to see if make NCAAs.

Should have changed it to POOR CHOICE house - they let Gam Wong go and dumped their chinese menu page in favor of their '"fargo" menu - HUGE MISTAKE!   The old shangri-la food (and especially the Phoenix Chicken) was the only reason I went there - a LOT of other people would agree.  Best to Gam and I hope he lands on his feet in a new place where his talents can be appreciated.  Our last time there the waitress was rude and once we found out no chinese food the alternatives boring.  We won't be back.

I was there last Friday and they had the Chinese food.  I actually had the Phoenix Chicken.  It was excellent.

I doubt today's youth use Facebook that much. It's mostly Instagram and Snapchat.

Get with the times as instagram is dieing to.  vsco is the new pic app.  Snapchat is still the only way youngsters communicate.

Valpo on a Thursday to open the season.
SDSU - 2nd home game not until 1st weekend in October
MSU - Back to back home games, hope October is nice next year
    USD - Halloween game
    SIU - Regular season finale

Will be interesting to see how attendance shapes up next year. South Dakota school should help out a bit but Thursday game won't help to start the year.

With that late of a 2nd home game I don't see attendance average being a whole lot better next year.  It seems that oddly enough when weather is decent for tailgating more people end up going indoors to watch the game.  As season wears on attendance dips.

Though I expect that SDSU game to be well attended as I'm betting it's potato bowl.

We took our lumps this year, just like we've handed out a few in previous years. I suspect things will get better soon. Now if the Summit could just fix the match times so that it would be easier to get the matches and I'd be much happier. I did like the Big Sky scheduling.

This point times a thousand.  Summit scheduling is something awful.  Never knowing what day it will be.  Seriously weekday games in the early afternoon???  I am cancelling my season tickets as I was able to make it to 3 matches this year.

Just a fun college football game atmosphere

Good on the fans.  Seems like the loudest game I've heard all year from any fan base.

Volleyball has fallen fairly far from just a handful of years ago. Is this just a matter of coaches unable to deliver after Hardee screwed himself out of a job? We just needing to find the right fit, or was our success before an aberration?

Recruiting and retention seems to be the issue.  Which comes back to coaching.  Volleyball players seem to really quit and transfer at a way higher rate than any other sport.  Which does make sense when so few play.

Did Pryor win with Hardee recruits?

  13. I believe Minnesota boys hockey starts on Monday Nov 11.  Guessing ND is behind that by a week (or two).

Any big story lines this year?  Any team challenge Central?  Where does RR end up? For my curiosity, can a small ND town like Grafton ever win again?

I believe EGF has a former RR goalie that should've played last year for them.  They also have Panzer and hopefully Parker is healthy finally.  I see on schedule that Bismarck has been added.  Seems odd add as playing GF teams 4 times already is a lot of out of state.  Most of their other opponents out of section are state participants so a challenging schedule again.

PJ was definitely campaigning for Gameday to head to Minneapolis in a couple weeks. I still think they will end up going to LSU/Bama but he had a good sell.

Really fun one to watch today. Gonna be a fun build up to that huge game with Penn State. Biggest Gopher game in a long time. TCF should be rocking.

Love to see Gameday go there, but I think you're right about them going south.  However end of the year if umtc has 0 or 1 loss they play Wisconsin for Big Ten West title and oddly enough for rivalry weekend there aren't many other ranked games.  Though Michigan beating Notre Dame today may put their Ohio State game at the top on that final weekend.

  15. This is really bad, but I only remember couple other than school stuff from last night.

    Shut up and Dance

Gimme Some Loving (staple of band)

Hey Song (Rock and Roll Part 2)

Fight on Sioux (has words and played before team comes out of locker room)

    School Song

In Heaven There is No Beer

Couple of my faves that they have played in past:

    The Pretender by Foo Fighters

    Holiday by Green Day
