And you represent GFCC in a favorable light?

For some reason you folks seem to think that all the communication via email defines this situation. So you are trying to tell that over the two year gap that there was no communication via phone? They never talked?
-
Now now dont try and confuse him with facts. Mindless accusations and hyperbole are his strong points.

Thank you for clearing up any misconceptions.

They lost to Upper Iowa and Winona State not to mention Sioux falls??? Oh my!

May be should have said that in the first place?

And it wont be as bad as you are hoping it will be.

Do they not understand that circumstances change over time? When NDSU first moved to DI, we needed games because of being in a 5 team Great West Conference. Taylor offered UND a 4 game contract with 2 games at each school; to keep the rivalry going. UND turned it down because they felt it would give an unfair advantage due to more scholarships and because of how the playoff commitee viewed playing DIAA games. UND was doing what was best for UND. In 2007, when UND moved up to DI, they desperately needed games because they were in the same 5 team Great West Conference. Faison wanted to play every year in order to fill their schedule. UND was doing what was best for UND. Taylor turned down that deal because he wanted NDSU to have more home games and an FBS game every year for revenue reasons. NDSU was doing what was best for NDSU. In April of 2011, NDSU was not selling out the dome, creating a waiting list for thousands of people for season tickets, and had yet to win an FCS championship yet. At that time, teams were willing to come to the dome for reasonable guarantees to play. I'm sure Taylor figured it would be easy to get a non conference home games or two at an affordable price in the future and therefore able to sign a home and home where the Bison could go to GF in 2017. NDSU was doing what was best for NDSU. The deal was never signed for unknown reasons. Fast forward to January 2013. NDSU is coming off back to back national championship seasons and sold out home games for 2 years. Teams are harder to get to come to Fargo to play non conference games. Georiga Southern had bought out a game and soon Montana State would buy out as well. Taylor even says as much when he says, “A lot has changed since 2010 with our ticket demands and revenue number we need to generate out of football." Taylor makes getting 6 home games as well as an FBS game a priority, not scheduling UND. Maybe in 2017, Taylor wants to keep as many dates open as possible so that they can get to that 6 home game goal. Wanting a home game with UND in 2017 as well then makes sense. NDSU was doing what was best for NDSU. Fast forward again to last week where Taylor again offered for just one game in Fargo next year. Taylor wanted to just get the rivalry started again. Faison rejected the deal either because he didn't like that the guarantee had lowered or that he more then likely wanted the return game so they could sell out the Alerus with increased ticket prices, therefore making more money. UND was doing what was best for UND. So it is not just Gene Taylor that is in the minds of UND fans being selfish. Both AD's have the interest of their schools and athletic departments in mind when figuring out a deal. UND will do what is best for UND, and NDSU will do what is best for NDSU. Without a signed contract, a verbal proposition is just that...A proposition. In business, the terms change constantly...If they can't understand that, it's on them.

The nonsense you speak of are you referring to just me or all the other nonsense that is posted here? You cant keep using the excuse that GT will change the agreement to not take the deal. Much has been discussed over the years between GT and BF and nobody really knows what has transpired over the last 4 years in those conversations. Take the current deal. If GT changes the deal I will be with you in denouncing it as BS.
-
I just find some of your superfluous verbiage entertaining.
-
The Weber game was a return game we owed them for coming to Fargo when we needed a game. So that arguement is a non starter. Why do you keep bringing up hypothetical scenarios? They do nothing for the point at hand.
-
Oh my. You keep getting better.
-
You saying things that GT has never said.(nice spin) Take the one game to get the ball rolling. BF tried to dictate the terms before. How did that work out. I guess you really dont want to play the game for the games sake with what you are saying.
-
You have no one to blame for not playing the game but yourself if you dont take the deal. It is about the game correct?
-
There is an offer on the table . Take it. Then you can try and prove all of the rhetoric you guys have been spouting.
-
Really? You actually believe that considering the state of UND football???????? Not to mention where NDSU is at this juncture. Wow.
-
Take the deal that is offered. If GT really doesnt want to play the game he will back out then you have every right to bitch. Take the deal to get the ball rolling. If the GAME is really what its all about.
-
Is that BFs excuse for not taking he deal back then? No--BF demanded that they play every year. Since that time the scheduling dynamics and economics have changed. Every home game is worth approx a half a million. What does NDSU get coming to GF? Be honest with yourself. How many Bison fans would be able to attend the game? Besides it being a rivalry game you dont have much to offer.
-
Actually my comprehension is very good as I know exactly what you are talking about. But I do question your comprehension or the fact that you refuse to admit that BF turned down a deal for a H/H to get the ball rolling because he wanted--demanded the game every year. This was prior to Apr 2011.
-
Wrong. This was at the time BF wanted--no demanded that the game be played every year. BF did not accept the deal,. As far as pointing the finger point-------point it at BF. If he hadnt turn down the deal the game would have and would be played and we wouldnt be having this conversation. We would be talking about who is going to kick whos butt on the field.
-
Just think---if BF had taken the 2 year deal for a home and home yeas ago those game would have already been played, future games would already be scheduled and the rivalry would have been renewed. But no--BF turned that down.

125,000.00 Ahhhh Is that a typo?????? If not then I am very surprised he offered that much. LOL LOL Ok guys just kidding. If its not a typo then I am shocked at the low offer.

I have no issues with UNDs standing. Its a very fine school. It was you who was putting NDSU down. So who wasnt recognizing a schools academic standing?
