Narcissistic personality disorder is one of several types of personality disorders. Personality disorders are conditions in which people have traits that cause them to feel and behave in socially distressing ways, limiting their ability to function in relationships and other areas of their life, such as work or school. If you have narcissistic personality disorder, you may come across as conceited, boastful or pretentious. You often monopolize conversations. You may belittle or look down on people you perceive as inferior. You may feel a sense of entitlement — and when you don't receive special treatment, you may become impatient or angry. You may insist on having "the best" of everything — for instance, the best car, athletic club or medical care. At the same time, you have trouble handling anything that may be perceived as criticism. You may have secret feelings of insecurity, shame, vulnerability and humiliation. To feel better, you may react with rage or contempt and try to belittle the other person to make yourself appear superior. Or you may feel depressed and moody because you fall short of perfection. Many experts use the criteria in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), published by the American Psychiatric Association, to diagnose mental conditions. This manual is also used by insurance companies to reimburse for treatment. DSM-5 criteria for narcissistic personality disorder include these features: Having an exaggerated sense of self-importanceExpecting to be recognized as superior even without achievements that warrant itExaggerating your achievements and talentsBeing preoccupied with fantasies about success, power, brilliance, beauty or the perfect mateBelieving that you are superior and can only be understood by or associate with equally special peopleRequiring constant admirationHaving a sense of entitlementExpecting special favors and unquestioning compliance with your expectationsTaking advantage of others to get what you wantHaving an inability or unwillingness to recognize the needs and feelings of othersBeing envious of others and believing others envy youBehaving in an arrogant or haughty mannerAlthough some features of narcissistic personality disorder may seem like having confidence, it's not the same. Narcissistic personality disorder crosses the border of healthy confidence into thinking so highly of yourself that you put yourself on a pedestal and value yourself more than you value others.

Not a problem. I do appreciate the comment .

What does your post have to do with the one you are responding to? FYI there were a few things that didnt work in our favor for a great attendance in that game. But why bore you with facts when you want to respond with a non starter.

Quit lumping every Bison fan in to the UND SiouxVolley mode where no credit can be given because of who you are. Ive said numerous times you have a hell of a hockey program. 7 national titles is a heck of an accomplishment. Just as 12 national titles are or just one. A national title is hard to do no matter the sport, or division one plays in. I met a kid a couple years ago and when the person who introduced him said he was on a team that won a national title the kid says sheepishly "but it was D3" I told him if you win a national title its something to be proud of regardless of the division you play in because you are the best at your level of play. I can never understand people not recognizing an other schools or players accomplishments.

Shouldnt that be your goal when recruiting?

USD is IN the meat of the schedule. Putting that aside yes it was a bad loss. But I was more upset in How we lost. Just terrible inept play plus terrible coaching. I dont care for predicting games. Never have. Dont care for those that bloviate in their predictions either.

Only an idiot would think it was going to be easy to run the table when we got to the meat of the schedule. Even with this loss I am sure we are still on the Rose Bowls watch list.

A lot can happen in 10 years. Even if it takes 15-20-25-30 years , by following the steps for eligibility it will just make NDSU better. -

Reading comprehension isnt your strong suit is it. ps "NDSU's President has stated that he thinks NDSU will be accepted into AAU in five years." He NEVER said that. Of course saying exactly what he said wouldnt fit your agenda now would it. -

Thats nice but I could care less what the other board has to say. Its all about NDSU getting better. Which understandably you will nay say at every opportunity. I would think you would be more concerned about not being able to fill your dorms and falling behind in on campus attendance. But please carry on. -

What difference does it make as long as they get there? Who said its the only way that we can improve? Its the direction and approach they have chosen. Its seem you guys are making a much bigger deal over this than anyone. Why? -

Again I will repeat a previous post. By following the guidlines to AAU admission wouldnt that put NDSU in a better place even if they came up short on the final goal? The president came from a school that was AAU. Our AD came from a school that was AAU. Its called leadership folks. -

Wait----This sounds vaguely familiar??? What???? Didnt you post pretty much the same thing when NDSU announced the were going D1? Or was that someone else? -
Question why wouldnt they have the regional in GF? Or does it have to be at a neutral site. ?
