I had not noticed until today, but the Denver-Providence game is the one on ESPN+. The rest are on ESPN2 or ESPNU. I think this may be the best game of the day, so pretty disappointing. Interesting until I saw who the other teams were at that time. ESPN headquartered in Connecticut, probably locked them in to ESPNU.

U Conn in Hockey East looks a lot like Western Michigan in the NCHC. They play a good brand of hockey and all of the lines are all in with their system. I watch a lot of college hockey, and they are very good. Just goes to show you do not need "blue chippas" to win. The only one they had transferred to Minny last year. Should give a lot of thought for those thinking the pasture is greener elsewhere. You are right in that they are set up for not only a good run this year, but also in the NCAA's. This may not be their year to bring home the hardware, but they are one of eight that I give a good chance to be in the Frozen Four. Depends on who they get matched up against in the tourney.

Curtis Murphy was the last cut from , the D-men. Could not leave Commy off the D-list for a variety of reasons which include the intangibles that he brings.

The series should be part of the Big10+ package. I believe the WCHA signed as a part of that package, and got out of the FloHockey deal. I may be wrong about this as it shows CCHA+, and does not show up on the Big+ schedule. It should be with the WCHA deal with them, but it is pretty confusing.

Blake and Jost both are on the final 25 roster for Carolina. Grimaldi was released from his PTO for the team. Hopefully he gets picked up by someone.

Looks like TJ Oshie will be on Long Term IR to start the season. I was waiting to hear about him retiring, but I hope he heals well enough to make an impact later in the season. He has been going through a lot of health issues. Putting him on the long term IR will help the Caps salary cap concerns to start the season. Hope Osh gets healthy enough to play this season. Congrats to Cam Jonson on another championship in the ECHL for the Florida Everblades. Got to cut up another net, and did so this year with Mark Senden. Senden scored two goals in the third to tie the game and send it to overtime. Florida obviously scored the game winner in OT to clinch the Clark Cup against the Kansas City Mavericks.

I would love to see it, but I do not think Emery will go in the first round. My guess is that Boisvert will go 15-20 in the first round and Emery will go 35-45 in the second round. Both have huge upside with Boisvert needing to build up his strength, and Emery needs to work a little on his offensive side. Emery's defensive style is awesome to watch, and I think he would be a perfect pairing for Livanavage. I think both have extreme hockey sense for their positions.

Looks like Jackson is in the line up tonight for Carolina. They are resting a few of their main forwards, and he is listed on the fourth line. Good luck to him!

I have two tickets for the Maryland Heights Regional that I cannot use due to a family issue. This regional was close, so I bought tickets early. They are in Section 123 Row 1 - Seats 1&2. Obviously great seats on the glass. I have been going to the Frozen four for over 35 years, and will be in St. Paul to watch some great hockey whoever ends up there. Do not post on here much due to most of the content of the posters, especially in the game tabs. There was a boarding penalty by a Denver player, Matikka? at the end of the game. Denver got away with this last year at the end of a game, and likely will again. It is amazing how they get away with all this stuff. I am sure it will not be looked at by the NCHC gang.

Just wanted to put this out there from an interview TJ Oshie gave after the recent game. He wore a neck guard (I believe it was like a turtleneck) and was asked about it in the post-game interview. He was questioned on it, and I believe he responds at about the 2:40 mark of the interview link I have attached. Go to the schedule tab and you should be able to go back to the date of the games. I have watched Saturdays game Monday because I was at an event I could not watch it live. In the schedule tab, they have the highlights and archived game. They sometimes have a condensed version of the game, but have not seen it yet this year.

It is always interesting to see the comparisons from year to year. I hope the weight gains are accurate. I see it as especially important for McLaughlin to have gained muscle weight over the summer with Pooly's assistance. I would love him to be our second line center, but he needed to improve his strength on faceoffs. I think his talent is there to handle that with the increased confidence of being 55-60% on faceoffs and having the puck more offensively. Gaber would also benefit from the extra muscle weight. Again, hope these are accurate, but am excited for the season to start.

I do not think this will get much traction, but is interesting to see who is leading the charge to get the Redskins name back. In the times we live in now, I cannot imagine that this will happen. Interesting none the less. Native American Guardian's Association NFL Redskins - TheBlaze

He is an exciting player, and will be a great addition. Based on past NHL drafts, due to his size I am predicting an early third round choice. He will be much better than those "projections" in college (see Jackson Blake - fourth rounder). I am sure some folks will cry about "blue chippas" with where he will be selecteed, but this kid will be awesome to watch.
