Yeah I heard that too....let him play his way back into shapeI agree but Hak commented about his conditioning due to lack of playing/practicing the past month.
-
Other than his defensive lapse on the second goal....how do you keep him out.I thought Hak said that Chyzyk probably wouldn't dress tonight due to conditioning concerns?

I don't think anybody is suggesting that Kristo will have a long career in the NHL simply because he is leading the Hartford Wolfpack in scoring. Most would just like to see him get a chance. It's not uncommon for a player to get a call up because he is leading his team in scoring, especially on team looking for offense like the Rangers have most of the season.Brandon Bochenski is a good example of playing great in the A and not the N. The simple Peter Principle in action.

Four games.(Northern Michigan series)I also like his game, but missing 2 games in Canadia is hardly a punishment.

Chyzyk was reinstated this week
Do we know which one happened first?Good timing with Tambellini's departure.

sports.yahoo.com/...puck-daddy/makes-canada-olympic-hockey...Is this the article you're talking about? If so JT is listed here.I was searching online to see when Canada will release their roster and came across an article with the Puck Daddy Team Canada picks from a couple days ago. One of the Puck Daddy columnists left Toews off the roster. Seriously?! Does he follow hockey at all?
edit: I see the omission now....hard to figure that one out!

They certainly have the talent, but no Seth Jones or Jacob Trouba this year, so will have to be a solid team.
....or Phil Housley! They certainly have the talent, but no Seth Jones or Jacob Trouba this year, so will have to be a solid team.

The misconduct and unsportsmanlike conduct penalty were in the second period,,,,,,the roughing penalty was at 19:25 of the third period.I did not get to see the game on Saturday and was wondering if anyone could clarify this section of the box score for me:
2 19:47 NDK-7 Stephane Pattyn (10-Misconduct) 2 19:47 NDK-6 Stephane Pattyn (2-Unsportsmanlike Conduct) (Served by Wade Murphy) 3 19:25 NDK-8 Stephane Pattyn (2-Roughing) NMU 1x5 3 19:38 NMU-5
Mitch Jones (2-Roughing)
I am confused how did Pattyn get a rough at 19:25, I would presume he would be in the box then. Yet he then gets a misconduct and unsportsmanlike from the box at 19:47?? Is this a typo? If not, what the hell did he do in the box to get the additional 10 and 2. Thanks for anyone who can shed some light on this for me.

If you put my avatar next to a picture of Dave Starman-REALLY scary. Welcome to hockey!I hate to do this man (iluvdebbies) but if you put your avatar next to a picture of Scott Walker - scary.

What's all the discussion about anyway. They got the call right. The NMU players feet were in the crease and visually impaired Zane. At worst they got it wrong and a call went our way. Which the cry on here is that NEVER happens with Don Adams crews.......NEVER....we are always getting screwed by the officials . Enjoy it .....it may NEVER happen again

I knew it was going to be a no goal when after the first replay Hammer said...."that's clearly a goal Kober"I wasn't too familar with the exact rule but watching you could see and hear Jackson yelling from the bench to make sure the refs were reviewing the goal and looking for that.

Good point....they passed on UND's bid for the women! But, do you think the NCAA would've chosen UND's bid over the other applicants if all West Region bids were submitted with only on-campus arenas? If you believe the NCAA hates us you would have to believe they would've given the bid to someone else if we had only submitted REA.

Minnesota looses in a shootout 1-0
Counts as a tie everywhere but the Big 10 standings.
But they still lost. And B10 standings do matter.
THIS is just one of the reasons why I hate shootouts! No they didn't. It was a tie in our record and MSU's. They simply were rewarded an extra point.

This time you are wrong
-
That even makes less sense.I think it should have been an initial 4 on 3 for UND followed by a 5 on 4 for WMU.
I'm hoping that the officials discuss this during the week so they know how to properly execute this type of situation in the future.
-
Again, the four penalties .....two on each team cancelled out. BUT each player has to still serve the time they racked up.One reason, one player cannot serve 4 minutes of penalties in 2 minutes. And if Panz remained/was put back in the box for the second two, when no one is in the WMU box, how is that not a PP. I'm under the impression that coincidentals are served simultaneously, not one player on one team being in the box for the first two, the player from the second team being in the box for the second 2 minutes. If that is wrong I'm willing to be corrected, but I've never seen it.
-
Has nothing to do with number of people in the box. Has everything to do with number of penalties committed. WMU committed two and UND committed two.....why should anyone get a power play out of that?I've never seen a two minute minor served that way, but if it was, why didn't UND have a PP during the first 2 minutes (2 in for WMU; 1 for the Sioux). To keep things 5 on 5 like they did, the two WMU minors would have to have been run back to back, rather than at the same time. I think TH said they took all the penalty time off the clock before play started again, which would indicate all coincidentals.
-
Penalties don't have to be the same infraction to be coincidental. Any minors assessed at the same stoppage can be coincidental. So the example I gave you their would be 2 sets of coincidental penalties ....no time is put up on the clock, skate five on five and everybody gets out after the first whistle after two minutes. Same with what happened in the game last night....two sets of coincidental penalties....except in that case all four minutes were give to panz so he serves them all.
