  1. Gwoz is available & we know his teams have been able to find "it" i.e. back to back titles. By the way if you don't have "it" and don't know exactly what "it" is or what "it" looks, sounds or feels like, or where to look for "it", then how do you ever find "it"?

Therefore, shouldn't you look for someone who knows all about "it" and has found "it" b/4, as opposed to someone who doesn't know anything about "it"?

    Well, that's "it" for now.

This post is certainly full of it.

  2. I hope Yale wins on the sloppiest goal in the history of hockey.....and that it is reviewed for 10 min before being confirmed.....and that there is still alot of doubt of whether or not it was in!!

    even better!!!

  4. Dave Starman's analysis of UND from uscho.com:

    North Dakota

    • Depth, great bottom six, toughest team in the tournament

    • Elite first line and top defense pair

    • Well coached and high compete level

    • Achilles’ heel: Scoring can go dry at times

Good analysis, except the first bullet. I really hope this isn't the toughest team in the tournament, this is is the least tough UND team in years. Our depth is solid, but our high end depth at forward is lacking this year.

    He nailed our achilles heel.

  5. I was thinking about that a few days ago and wondering if that's part of the reason Hak has used Rocco on multiple lines looking ahead to the tournament when you can manipulate the game a little more with stoppages in play and lean on your top 2 lines heavily like Duluth did 2 years ago.

I'm not sure how many automatic TO's they have during the regionals, but there is a bunch if you get to the FF, and you can really extend minutes for your studs if you want to.

4 one minuete TV timeouts a period....16,12,8,4 minute mark of each period. Is that any different then regular season games at home?
  6. To me it was 2 for boarding. The Gopher player has responsibility not to get killed too. It was a dangerous place on the ice, but the hit was from the side. I call 2 there. I also believe that hockey is a very violent sport, where if you didn't want to get hit violently, you probably should've joined the band instead. Nobody wants to see anyone hurt, but you can't take the physicality out of the game. You also have to learn to take a check correctly so you don't get killed out there.

When it comes to a boarding call it doesn't matter if it's from the side or the front for that matter. If you cause your opponent to crash violently into the boards its boarding. In this case the Mn playing goes in head first. It's the kind of hit every level of hockey is trying to eliminate. The onus is on the player throwing the check not the player receiving the contact. There shouldn't be any question that the correct call was made.
