I agree with this plan. Its a hell of a lot of Hockey for three days, but I think overall dumping the 3rd place game is not a good idea. Not only for the WCHA but it can have weight across the NCAA tourney PWR. As for the two games Thurs., travel isn't that big of a deal. I guess I have noticed a lot of people don't even go the the Friday afternoon game untill midway through.

Exactly. As a Freshman there is a new element to your game that expierenced shooters are not used to. Sophomore year there is a lot of film or they have gotten an idea of your reaction and then you learn to change your game a little with each performance to each different set of shooters.

I agree with you on a strong Partnership with NDSU and UND. Wouldn't forgetting about the past and openly being willing to Play each other in sports (Football) be a great way to start that?

There is no mercy rule in college hockey. WIth 9:00 min left on Friday I think the players started to shut down. Hak needed to call the timeout to get them back into it. That has been the problem is he isn't getting their heads back into it with a lead in the 3rd. It's not something he should loose his job over unless he fails to correct it. For 5.5 years he has put a quality team on the ice. You can't say it has been all with Blais pplayers as now the team is all his and we are still one of the top teams in the country. The guys just enjoyed Dinkytown a little too much Friday night.

Because he is still chapped about being sent by the U and nothing burns them better then a big fat notch in the loss colum given by UND.

Correct. BTN has the rights. FCSA only has the home game agreement and when going through the guide it is Fairbanks v. Mich. B2 site is down right now so you may be able to get it there, or Spitfire is owned by a UND alum, i know they will have it on and the atmosphere is not as rediculous as BWWSouth. You need to get there a bit early but happy hour goes to 7.

I have done it a few more times since my original. I still can't make them #1, which is sad because I really love walking by the Mcnaughton when I walk into the games, but your arguments are making me feel better. I just see WIS having two in hand as a Big advantage with their D corp.

I watched the DU-BC game. That 3rd period comeback had me a bit nervous about playing them.

Brads blog mentions finding a third for Trupp and Malone. Adding Kristo could be i good high energy line. two speedsters and A little bulk to sit in front of the net.

I agree with Goon. Two words are the arugument, Holy Cross. That Gophers team was all but the champions and they didn't win. On any day, any team can be beat.

I think what they meant was his commitment woudl make a team happy in 2010.

It was closed Dec. 07 It did have it's Nights in the local night scene. The problem was they were very cheap drink specials with games that gave away gift cert. or even small HDTVs. You need to do those things to build a top of mind awareness but it just didn't happen because as stated above, college kids and the Grand Forks Community doesn't want to support a $9 burger type of place( they were awsome though). They also had large employee theft issues, in giving free drinks to their friends.

I couldn't agree more. We have no business having home ice in the playoffs unless we can prove we deserve it in the regular season. A sweep here helps make the case.

I am patiently waiting for Gothberg but i would like to see Dell get more time. "Deserves it" has nothing to do with it. He showed that after Eids got benched he can be 'the guy' when we need him. Lets let him step in and show us. I do not like riding goalies till they crack in the national Semis against BC like a previous phenom.

WCHA Goaltending Trivia Question: How many goalies have had great careers that included a Sophomore slump? Eids has also changed a lot since last year. Weight and physical makeup. Kangas had a rough Soph. year but he is playing well with pressure from Patterson and no help from D. Stalock had a rough soph year. Its not really a myth it's somthing that happens to these young guys. First year shooters dont take them serious and second year they aren't ready for people really gunning for them. They all catch up sooner or later.

Skating would be a good thing. If the travel goes well, depending on this weekend I bet they would wait until the Gopher series Mid month to try and get him on the ice limited time( I know Chay doesn't do limited time). I would think that from what i understand the Bigger Sheet may be helpful for the blurring at game speeds. Pure Speculation.

I like the enthusiasim but do we really think that will be the line? I think he and Vande would be great together, but I just don't think breaking up one of the only consistent producing pairs (Malone and Trupp) is a good thing. I don't think Vande would fit in well with Malone either. Thoughts on Lines for this weekend?
