This morning on KFAN, Gorg and the new FSN broadcast guy( not LaPanta) were talking about the new icing rule for college hockey. Not the short handed icing but the ?imaginary line icing? It allows a race to an imaginary line at about the hash marks to keep the puck live on line changes. Or is this the same thing and Gorg made it seem more complicated than it really is. I thought they voted out the short handed rule? Any clarification would be great. Sorry if this is a repeat q?

Just a heads up but the game is being replayed a few times this week on FSC cable version. It's 307 on cableone in Fargo. I forgot to DVR it Sunday so i recorded it at 2 am today.

I just want to inject this into the conversation, I LOVE THIS PROBLEM!!! I can see come March that we have 6 solid healthy Dmen. Not all banged up but in game shape and rested because they have been able to get a game off or even a series off when needed. Giving the irritating bumps and bruises a little more time to heal. No matter who we have out there we should be solid.

I drove by this Tuesday while in Bemidji. Looks really sharp from the outside. Parking is between the lake and first Street and looks like there is plenty but the last guy in the lot has about 2.5 blocks to walk on the black top. Being from Fargo, my first thought was at least they have black top on all the lots. The UP didn't/doesn't. I suppose you could park on the lake later in the season as well.

According to the Signs at Scheels, they will retian the right to make up anniversary gear or special run items to honor past championship teams in the future and this year they can issue permits to honor any team that wins a championship this athletic year.

Bill- Although, I am always in favor of looking at things in a different light than "that's the way it always has been", this is a tough one. Kudos for trying to take it on. What is your basic timeline for this project? Petitioning? Plan outline? generalities are fine for now. I have heard something about a bullet train between Fargo and Grand Forks. Is that Accurate? Feasible? I know there are redundancies aplenty to go around between the two schools so if nothing else I hope this project helps with that but wouldn't a project of that scale burn every penny of savings? Best of Luck to you but Myself, I will need persuading.

Didn't the fargodome give Sean Doberstien and his management group the boot after they lost $92k cash on a date hold/guaruntee deal that didn't pan out for a rap act? I live in Fargo and the Dome is well run. But you are looking at two different Universities. NDSU is a football school. Many will disagree but UND is a Hockey school. They do what they are good at. The hockey team at UND sells 200k+ seats for home games(dropping the few non sellouts) a year. Last year NDSU didn't sellout two games but capacity is a little over 18k for 6 games MAX. UND hockey gets the same prices for 20 games for 11k people as NDSU gets for the 5-6 home games in a year. In this area college Football can't run or control a facility. There isn't enough money for the facility.

Exactly! Only when it's in the spotlight is it a problem. Remember the uproar over the tomahawk Chop? Wasn't a big deal all season but during the world series, it's awful. To preempt MPLS reply to this, I'd rather have a successful athletic Dept. than the name, but it is stupid that one leads to the fall of the other.
