That should be a goal. The only thing CC could argue is goaltender interference, but Parks was knocked into the goalie by a CC player.
Also loving the CC commentator whining hard about a non-called hold a good 30 seconds before.

It could be very interesting heading into spring football and Studsrud comes more into play. You hear the occasional comment that he could be a pretty good player.
Regardless, all of this is moot with our current offensive line.

I get the fact that you really don't like Mollberg as the starter, but you keep citing this body of work business. My hypothetical has a pretty valid point of concern, i.e. competition level. How does Portland State's defense compare to Montana? Montana State?
Let's add in the fact that this is still a new offense and the offensive line has been a sieve for the majority of the season. The coaches seem to think that Bartels would have done worse than Mollberg in all those games, so who's to say they weren't right? Against Portland State he was 7 of 8 and had lead the longest UND offensive drive of the year to that point. There's no evidence to show that he wouldn't have been able to keep up that kind of performance throughout the game had he stayed healthy.
I agree with other posters saying that Mollberg needs to trim down. When he was brought in, I was expecting an athletic, dual-threat capable quarterback but haven't really seen any of that from him.

Well it begs the question, what would Joe have done on the day had he not been knocked out of the game? Was it that the Portland defense was inferior to just about anything we'd seen so far this year? Would Bartels still have produced against the likes of Montana?

The atmosphere I want back is the home playoff game against Pittsburg St. in 2001 I think it was. Place was so loud you couldn't even hear the whistles blowing for the countless false starts PSU had.

What's the outlook right now on next year's offensive line? Do we have some kids waiting in the wings or are we going to have another year or struggles up front?

Agreed, but the offense was at least moving and Joe seemed to be making some better throws. Bartles comes in and the offense does nothing again. I fully agree that the OL is brutal and limits just about everything we can do.

Things were going with Mollberg in, which is disappointing he's now out. Wonder how this game would've been had he been able to stay in. Bartles just doesn't have it this year it appears.

They are being lazy, pure and simple. Getting outworked, outhustled, out-performed and it shows in the score. They can have all the talent in the world but if they don't bother to even try, then they'll get their butts kicked by middle of the pack teams all season.

Yup, student interest in sports is declining. Why go to some sporting event when you can sit around in an apartment or bar, watch the same game or different game of the same sport, and get wasted?
