  1. Defense showed up to play
  2. Pass interference is apparently not a thing in this conference.
  3. What gets me about this whole pandemic is the absurd number of people unwilling to do even the bare minimum to reduce spread. Gods forbid we have to be inconvenienced for any length of time. Nope. Can't wear a mask because "You can't make me" mentality, can't social distance, can't put off purely optional activities because, "it's no worse than the flu." Despite evidence to the contrary. We have to have our normal lives at all costs.
  4. Honestly, best move that UND could do was cut ties. What the kid did was reprehensible and from most accounts that can be found he has shown no remorse, made no efforts to apologize to the victim, and the only acknowledgments given were to further his potential NHL career. He didn't care that what he did was wrong, he only cared that he got caught and how it could negatively impact him. That alone would be enough for me to not even want him to be recruited regardless of how talented he might be. But add on top of that the fact that both his parents have issues of their own and are seemingly doing very little to address his behavior. It is bad optics for UND to drop him after he made it to campus but it would have been a continuing headache throughout the season as the story drags on and the rest of the team doesn't need that. I am also inclined to think that there's additional information out there causing the abrupt decision by the Coyotes and also for UND to drop instead of playing the "we are aware and think we can help a troubled young man" card.
  5. I don't think anyone wants to see a kid recruited to UND fail or not do well, we want players recruited here to succeed. With that said, I can't really shed a tear he's now playing in D2 or is off the team because a certain someone on this board kept trying to build him up as the greatest player to ever set foot on the field for UND. Yes, he was fast. Yes, he had some good moves. But the fact is he got moved and utilized as a running back because he couldn't catch, simple as that. Coaches didn't play him as a receiver because they didn't think he would succeed in the offense as a receiver. There was no vendetta. Danny was around the entire time McKinney was being recruited and practicing, why would he not want the guy to succeed? If he somehow makes it into the NFL, I'll eat my words but I really, really don't see it.
  6. That really doesn't surprise me. He's a good player but not a 25-30/game player. Plus he's shown he doesn't have the durability for that.
  7. This is the problem politics is having with society. Someone makes a comment and instantly the reaction is "well, he belong to the other side so any comment must be politically motivated." Some people don't care about politics and do care about society.
  8. So many years there have been questions about the coaching and the team seems to regress as the year goes along. Usually when a team regresses you can point to two major culprits. 1. Injuries 2. Coaching Other than Leet, there wasn't a host of terrible injuries for this team and I don't think you can really blame last year on injuries either. Therefore, you need to look at the coaching. Is Brew going through the motions? Does he lose the locker room as the year goes along? What's the explanation for it? As it stands, the women's basketball team is not really in a good place, particularly when compared to the two South Dakota teams. I think a change is necessary sooner rather than later.
  9. I heard it was the Modelo strain
  10. Yeah, Thome has earned the starting nod here on out.
  11. Omaha commentators mentioning that their coaches didn't do a handshake, now that's kinda funny.
  12. Such a stupid idea to cut the full feed to that. If you're going to do that, put a smaller feed up in the corner or something but that requires actual production value.
  13. A tackle good enough to be seen on the football field
  14. Sure would be nice to see a replay instead of crappy UNO commercials
  15. Really wish we had gotten a point last night because Omaha is just taking liberties right now and getting away with it.
  16. PP just looks awful. One shot and get cleared.
  17. Funny hearing the Omaha commentators complain about penalties hah.
  18. Yup, this is for the longsnappers. The current rule is you can't touch them until their head comes up but lots of teams/players like to play real close with that rule and it can result in injuries, particularly to the knees as people try to shoot the gap and come down on the snappers leg.
  19. This group of seniors has been fantastic. Hopefully they can add a couple more great memories before they have to leave.
  20. Goal 1 accomplished. Get into the NCAA tourney and accomplish goal 2.
  21. If they call this a goal UND needs to raise a giant stink about these officials
  22. Replay showed a pretty clear slash
  23. STOP. BEING. FANCY. Just put the puck on net
  24. Blaisdell puts someone on their ass, same kind of hit WMU has been doing all night, and then they freak out and slash him in retaliation and get called. Good on the refs for calling it.
  25. Yon and Johnson are playing well tonight, you can tell they want this game. They just have that extra kick in their step.
