  1. That was a 3rd down play. The PxP guys had no idea what was going on in that sequence.
  2. I honestly don't mind what the score is right now. Would I prefer to have held them to 0 points? Sure, but WIU adjusted, went heavier on their protection and made some good pass plays downfield. We adjusted after the muffed punt by bringing more pressure. As for not scoring more, I don't mind. Our offense isn't flashy. We pop the occasional big run, Schuster has hit some nice deep balls today, but we aren't a quick-hitting team like SDSU. Grind the ball, keep converting third down, and by the 4th quarter our offensive line should have fully imposed their will and we get the win.
  3. Did the female commentator just brag about how WIU held SDSU to just 3 points in the second half last week? Come on lady, get your head out of your butt, when you're up 42-10 you don't need to do anything more than a basic offense.
  4. According to the female commentator, any time 10 touches the ball it's going to be a touchdown :|
  5. WIU is selling out on the run, that's why Schuster is tearing them up through the air. Good playcalling by Danny today.
  6. I almost feel bad for the male commentator. You can hear the resignation in his voice at times. UND got in the red zone and he basically said they were gonna score a touchdown. This guy has seen some stuff.
  7. This team seems to be a second half team. Good grief.
  8. It was a good drive, just tragic it ended the way it did. Would have been nice putting points on the board end of the half and then starting with the ball 2nd half.
  9. Terrible decision on that throw, oof. That hurts.
  10. Gotta say I'm really impressed by the waived facemask call. Officials got that one spot on.
  11. There was a bobble but looked like he had control before he touched out.
  12. Concerned about the QB spot. Schuster is more miss than hit going downfield, Quincy seems to only come as a kind of wildcat QB.
  13. When the play-action is so good it fools the cameraman.
  14. Schuster has just been overthrowing all the deep balls.
  15. Too bad on that flea flicker. Maag was very much open on that.
  16. Schuster is looking solid on these intermediate throws, long isn't looking great but the short/middle game is looking solid.
  17. Get a vertical passing game going and this offense could be something else.
  18. Weah and Skokna are a good 1-2 punch.
  19. So far today Schuster's long ball leaves a lot to be desired.
  20. SIU's passing game is just the short outs and hope the receiver breaks a tackle.
  21. QB's head slammed into his lineman's back. That's a bad break for SIU on that but the hit was clean and picture perfect.
  22. Pass interference is apparently not a thing in this conference.
  23. What gets me about this whole pandemic is the absurd number of people unwilling to do even the bare minimum to reduce spread. Gods forbid we have to be inconvenienced for any length of time. Nope. Can't wear a mask because "You can't make me" mentality, can't social distance, can't put off purely optional activities because, "it's no worse than the flu." Despite evidence to the contrary. We have to have our normal lives at all costs.
  24. Honestly, best move that UND could do was cut ties. What the kid did was reprehensible and from most accounts that can be found he has shown no remorse, made no efforts to apologize to the victim, and the only acknowledgments given were to further his potential NHL career. He didn't care that what he did was wrong, he only cared that he got caught and how it could negatively impact him. That alone would be enough for me to not even want him to be recruited regardless of how talented he might be. But add on top of that the fact that both his parents have issues of their own and are seemingly doing very little to address his behavior. It is bad optics for UND to drop him after he made it to campus but it would have been a continuing headache throughout the season as the story drags on and the rest of the team doesn't need that. I am also inclined to think that there's additional information out there causing the abrupt decision by the Coyotes and also for UND to drop instead of playing the "we are aware and think we can help a troubled young man" card.
