I think maybe we just have to trust the staff on this one.
-
The way he looked for a lot of the game Sunday, I’d say you’re right.
-
The top possible transfers from the Summit, in my opinion are: - Frankie Fidler - Zeke Mayo - William Kyle - Andrew Morgan - BJ Omot (entered) Anyone I’m missing? There will be more that enter but these are the ones that could “move up”.
-
Nicholson isn’t on the team anymore.
-
As good as BJ is, I truly think he’s right at the right level. Could he play at the next level? Sure. Will he also get a bit lost in the shuffle? Probably. If a bag gets dropped on his porch, I can’t blame him.
-
I would move Omot and Tyree to the fence and Treysen staying. Could see one of the freshman leaving too realizing they’re not going to make it at this level.
-
I don’t think this guy would fill BJ’s spot in the lineup.
-
Man I wish he would have redshirted. I think he’s a bit older so I get it but it would be nice to have 4 years still. He’s got the tools but up to him to want to achieve his potential.
-
Agreed. He does seem like a good shooter and skilled but we should be over the moon excited if he ever plays significant minutes on a good team.
-
I feel like him hearing from Sather was bound to happen due to the connection. Whether they’re actually going hard for him is another question. My thought is he doesn’t make much sense here unless BJ is gone. Not saying he can replace BJ.

The 2023-24 season had some major lows and major highs. Was quite the rollercoaster. Unfortunately, it ended much sooner than we hoped. Now it’s time to start looking forward to next year. In theory, we have a super talented roster set to return. Unfortunately, the portal exists and you never know what’s going to happen. Let’s just assume the offseason goes as planned and no one leaves. We would have one open scholarship which I think we’d want to fill with a big. Now, I’m assuming another scholarship or two will open and if that’s someone that wasn’t a contributor this year, I would anticipate us looking for a 3 and D guy. Clearly they’re not looking for a high school kid so they’re going to attack the portal it appears. Buckle up, should be an interesting next month or so to follow.

McCollum is going to Missouri State.
-
Not calling a timeout at the end is bonkers. Not doubling Frankie is bonkers. We would have steamrolled Denver tonight. So frustrating. Now we wait for the inevitable, “BJ Omot has entered the transfer portal”.
-
Where’s the energy. We are playing like we know we will eventually take the game over but if we don’t start locking in soon we will find our season over real quick.
-
Why does Dave Richman refuse to consistently play through Morgan? It’s been proven to work when he does do it.

It’s tournament time! UND put a whooping on USD on senior night last to end the season heading to Sioux Falls on a winning note. It’s do or die time. We lose, we are probably done (idk rules about getting into CBI OR NIT but those aren’t what I want to watch). We split the season series with Omaha with both home teams winning quite decisively. The key is obviously slowing down Frankie Fidler. They were able to do that in Grand Forks. Limit his opportunities at the free throw line especially. Beyond him, they do have talent but I wouldn’t say they have much that will take over a game. Marquel Sutton, Nick Davis, JJ White and Grant Stubblefield are the others that you will see contribute. Curious to see if Tony Osburn is able to return. I thought he was done for the year but sounds like there’s a chance he could play. KenPom has UND winning this one 74-73. BartTorvik says 75-72. If Vegas has UND -1, I’m hammering that. Weird things can happen in March but I think we should be able to handle this one. Game will be on Summit League Network, if you’re not able to make it to Sioux Falls. I was hoping to make it but won’t be able to until Tuesday, if they make it there. I hope someday the SLT is similar to the Frozen Faceoff with it being an annual trip for my family and many other UND families. Let’s go Hawks!

Morgan belongs more than Skumberg. Omot being left off is a crime. I would have understood Trey not making it but not BJ.
-
No way Osborn is right? Didn’t he break his wrist or something? Bruner I thought it sounded like Achilles? He was in a boot at the end of the game.
-
Yup that’s all correct.
-
How we feeling? Wanted to start this to talk all things tournament. I will have another thread about Omaha later on. Playing Sunday 8:30PM. Anyone making it down?
-
Looking like it will be Omaha Sunday night 8:30PM.
-
Idk I think ORU. We will outrebound the !@#$ out of them. Both have a guy that can put up 30+ on us.
-
UND couldn’t get it done against SDSU with hopes to win the conference. Now they have to shift their focus to USD to maintain a top 3 seed. USD is tied for last place but UND can’t be sleeping on them. They just spanked NDSU to complete the sweep. They have some solid players with Lamar Thioune, Bostyn Holt and Kaleb Stewart. Going to have our hands full but if we are as good as we think we are we should be able to handle them. KenPom has this a 79-72 win for UND. BartTorvik says 80-72. Vegas has UND -8.5. Once again, I plead people to get to the Betty. While not everyone’s favorite players, get out their and honor Brady and T. Also, who knows with the portal this could be your last opportunity to see some other names. Let’s hope not. Games also on the Summit League Network.
-
If I’m understanding the tie-breakers correctly, yes. 1st tie breaker is H2H, which we split. 2nd is record against the best team and they split with SDSU.
-
Really not that far fetched. That would be less than ideal!
