I like Parise and Brandt to start the year but I think Lamoureux will see some action towards the end of the year.

I believe you have to have a ring in order to be considered the best. That leaves only the 2001 team. It is kind of like Karl Malone. He never had a ring but he is the 2nd leading scorer in all the NBA. Great player, no ring. He will never be put in that elite group without it. Same thing with the 5 teams listed here. 2001 gets my vote.

I would love to get people's thoughts on UMD announcing the coaching finalists just days before the championship game in Florence. I think that their decision to announce this last week instead of this coming week is Busch League. Did they want to distract UND and their title hopes? I don't think in any way this had any effect on Saturday's outcome, but it certainly was in the back of their minds. Simply Busch League UMD. Our hockey team took it out on them.

No one person owns it, unless you count the UND alum that donated it. If anything he probably wouldn't have any problems with UND holding on to it.

All of a sudden you call the shots? Are you a lawyer? I highly doubt it. UND can do whatever they want to with the trophy. It is a traveling trophy that is awarded to the winner of the UND-NDSU game. Until that game is played again, if ever, the trophy is UND's property and can be used for whatever they please. Quit worrying about the trophies and worry about 1) who you are going to play next year 2) football revenue (can't make money without any home games) 3) A CONFERENCE.....oh yeah, forgot about that one huh?

First of all there isn't enough schools that are D2 with a D1 hockey team to do that. Second of all they have redone the rules but allowed the schools that were already like that to be grandfathered in. And D-IAA is not the same classification as D-I. I don't care how you spin it. You are talking a double standard.

Basketball is winless. Football just came off of a 2 win season. UND has won 10 out of the last 13 meetings in football. We haven' t done anything in athletics as far as national championships in a long long time. Let's go D-I!! (Dudelo Dudelo Dudelo) That is unbelievable. The basketball team will find their improvments during the D-I move up?! Yeah D-II teams are kicking our ass but don't worry, we will fare better when we go to Div I. Good thinking boys. BTW, for a look into SDSU Fan's mind, simply substitute NDSU for SDSU and give UND 20 more wins in every sport.

The caring and heartfelt warmth that this town shows to everyone in times like these is absolutely amazing. 1,200+ taking time away from class, work, etc. to look for this poor girl brings a tear to my eye for two reasons. One because I feel for Dru and her family & friends. Secondly, because this town cares so much for its neighbors. A lot of these people didn't even know Dru but had enough heart to come and search. If the 1997 flood didn't prove it, this does. My prayers go out to Dru for her safe return. May God bless Dru and her family, and may God bless the people of Grand Forks. Keep the hope!
