  1. Good lord, this is how we dropped games last year. Hopefully it works out ok.
  2. Good deal, hope they get a good show, and a big win.
  3. Anyone know if there will be many recruits at the game this weekend? Just curious. I would think homecoming would be a good time to have kids visit, as there is so much going on.
  4. Totally agree with this. I have to say, I like that are schedule appears to be a little more challenging than it did preseason. Need to play competitive team, if we want to be able to compete in the playoffs.
  5. I guess, but when you're up 34-0, 34-7 or even 37-7, you can probably make a few switches and be just as effective. You're probably not going to be pass heavy anyway, so Heidelbaugh could have got in, and got more reps. Plus, there is no need to risk Keaton getting injured at that point.
  6. Any idea why the coaches didn't rest players earlier than they did? I didn't think Studs had any business playing that far into the game.
  7. Agreed, especially when compared to teams like E. Wash and MT. Yes, they play each other, but other than that, the schedules are fairly similar in terms of difficulty, and I would say some of that is even offset by the fact that our bye week isn't until the end of the season. Being in the position to rest some starters would be VERY beneficial.
  8. solid point. definitely not the same kind of drop off as last year. I'd really like to see a statement win tomorrow. I know S. Utah is much better than Sac St, but I'd really like to see a similar dominating kind of performance, which I do think is doable. Maybe I'm just being a homer, but I really think this team is coming together and playing more like the team we saw at the end of last season.
  9. I have said it before, I hate the idea of eliminating sports, as it is eliminating opportunities for students. UND has done a great job of making the women's program relevant, and I think a lot of that was due to the Lamoreux girls coming back home. Purely from a business standpoint, I think eliminating women's hockey would solve a lot of budgeting issues. Not sure what kind of crowd they draw, or how much revenue they generate.
  10. While I would hate for Reyes to miss the game, I would hate even more for him to reaggravate it and be out longer. Arnell will need to have a big time game, and hopefully Palmborg is ready to go.
  11. haha I'll take $1.50 for every usage lol
  12. That's what I was goin for Biz, don't turn this into your own thing now jk, hopefully he looks as good at UND as he did in that clip. Smooth skating, nice stick handling, great presence of where he is.
  13. Yep, just picture it next year, when UND is playing for its 3rd consecutive Nat'l Championship. "Goochi" or "Gooooooch", which I'm going to go ahead and trademark right now, will pull a move like that and we'll get to hear Bucci throw a "Holy Schnikes!!!!" out there.
  14. Kawaguchi won't be as versatile as Lasch or Roe. Those two played well on the ice, but were stand outs on SCSU's diving team. Never seen anything like it.
  15. Auston Matthews is on track to score 328 goals Toronto Maple Leafs are on track to score 328 goals
  16. Just in case anyone needs some football chatter to listen to throughout the work day... http://www.bigskyconf.com/news/2016/10/11/FB_1011162403.aspx
  17. Some pretty WACky ideas out here ..... see what I did there jk SV
  18. Jost will be an interesting situation. There is always the risk of one and done, but I agree, I don't think him staying would be magic either. UND has been great at keeping these top kids for, at least, two years. Hopefully Jost looks at everyone around him, and who has played there before him. Parise, Oshie, Toews, Boeser, etc. all stayed for more than 1 year. I think most of these kids are smart enough to come into school with an open mind. They may know they won't stay for 4 years, but I think they are open to staying more than 1 depending on how the 1st year goes. That's where UND succeeds. Easier to have a kid want to stay when you are winning consistently, playing in front of a full house every night, and playing for such a great group of coaches. I think the "college life" is also a great asset that a lot of kids who go the "other route" miss out on.
  19. That was my thought. Would love to have Bowers here, and I think they would find a way to make room for him, but I think he'll go out east.
  20. What is the likelihood of landing bowers? I'm betting he lands in one of the Boston jerseys but we'll see.
  21. Maybe we save the UND vs NDSU banter for when we make the playoffs and there is or is not a matchup. Bottom line, it doesn't matter what matchup we want. You play what you get.
  22. 38-17 UND keeps the momentum. Wins TOP, Turnovers and the game.
  23. Sucks that we played soo bad the first few weeks. If we had played like these past few games, we would have cleaned up.
  24. NDSU has 5 consecutive championships and are in a bigger city. They have more fans. Thats it. UND won't flip the switch over night, but we have definitely made more progress. Just have to keep it goin.
