  1. I meant an individual on our own staff
  2. I wonder about an individual on the staff.
  3. Lmao, 1st time in 16 years we aren’t in the tourney and two years removed from a championship. I’ll give Berry his due time. That being said, IF it doesn’t work out in the next few years, then try getting Sandy, but I have to think if you bring in Sandy as head coach, you likely lose Jackson. Guy has certainly been waiting for his chance and his contributions to the program can’t be overlooked.
  4. but are there any puck bunnies at OSU? seems like it would just be leftover from football and basketball.
  5. Yeah, I don't understand the whole pulling for conference opponents in the tourney. I would never have cheered for the Gophers or Wisconsin in the WCHA days. Maybe I would for a team who hasn't been there lately like W. Michigan, kind of like I would have for an Anchorage or Tech way back in the day.
  6. Wasn't Irmen still playing in Fargo when he turned down Grant? Were that all that close prior to Irmen going up to GF?
  7. Hindsight is 20/20, but I would have gladly had them both. Grant certainly turned out to be nice player, and it never hurts to have alumni that like to coach.
  8. I was actually going to write a whole spoof article last year for April Fools about Grady coming back .... to play goalie for the hockey team. Of course, last year it actually looked like the guy was going to come back and play football. I think Grady's name will pop up on this forum on an annual basis.
  9. Just found out the UND got some BIG news regarding the Grady train pulling into GF!
  10. Oh man. CHN had it is for North Dakota this year. http://sioux.collegehockeynews.com/
  11. I wonder if Schloss is waiting until Sunday to break the new about UND reinstating Women's hockey.
  12. Could we get someone to apply for the job with a variation of "Chuck the Pigskin"? Shoot the Rubber?
  13. 4/3. Michigan/Duluth: They both suck. I dislike Michigan less, but don't want to see them get more championships. That being said, I still think we will surpass them with championships at some point here. 1/2. Notre Dame/Ohio State: Not a fan of either. Don't really care who wins. I guess I'd prefer Ohio St. The gold helmets are disgusting; their players should all get penalties for wearing them, and the program should be subject to NCAA sanctions for being hostile and abusive. What a boring Frozen Four. Is it October yet?
  14. Anyone else see the tying goal for the Caps.... Pionk really sucks when he is on his knees. ....jerkface
  15. I mean it sucks for the players and fans, but I don't see how anyone can legitimately be upset at Motzko, or not understand the move. Motko is a coach, not a fan, this is his job. He is making a career move for himself. Now I don't care for Gopher Hockey, but the money and resources will be better for him at the U. As a player, I'm sure there is some disappointment, and any frustration they have towards the move, they can leave out on the ice when the teams play, but if we was a good coach to these guys then I'm sure they will understand why he is leaving. I know if someone offered me a 30-40% raise (arbitrary number, I've no clue of the real number) I would be gone, even if I really liked my current position. Money talks, and so does opportunity.
  16. Regarding Kleven, I have seen nothing but extremely positive comments on the kid. Would he be projected as a first rounder? or at least a high rounders? What year is he draft eligible.
  17. Can he score? Tell him to come to UND instead!
  18. Sounding like Motzko to the Gophers. It will be interesting to see how that translates to some of the Husky talent staying or going pro. Does SCSU and MN play next year, because that will be fun!
  19. Get him lifting with the football team, and eating with the lineman.
  20. It'll be fun to see what happens. I'd like to know what the attitude is like with each of these. Particularly Randeklev. It would be nice to get a Freshman that comes in confident, not necessarily cocky; but a guy that just is not intimidated to be playing at the next level. I felt like if some of our freshman had been a little more confident in themselves early on, we may have seen some more point production. Not always the case, but that was my perception.
  21. I’m not sure what is more astounding here, that you are making a comparison between Gretzky and Mittlestadt, or that you are insinuating the game is the same now as it was then. Plenty of comments and compliments on CM’s talent, but how can you not understand criticism of a high potential HS athlete that can’t do a pull up? It tells me he hasn’t put in the work that many others are willing to put in. It’s a character thing. Kid got by purely on talent which was fine for HS, but it’ll catch up with him. Had he put in some time in the weight room (which is beneficial and necessary in today’s game) imagine what he could have been as a freshman.
  22. That was pretty much my interpretation. It will catch up with him if that is the case, but I'm sure he will figure that out, especially with an NHL team. They'll push their investment to improve where they see fit.
  23. To me that comes across as a young kid who is very talented, but has not put in the time in the weight room. I remember a bunch of talented kid when I wrestled in HS, who could have been great, but didn't care enough to put in the extra work. Just how it comes across, imo.
