Anyone have a link to watch online?

Am I the only one who thinks the freshman QB should have been pulled after the 1st quarter? Maybe put the senior back in? While he has a very bright future, O'Brien has been awful for the most part today. Maybe I'm crazy.

I came across a video interview on the Prep Sports section of the Star Tribune website of Billy Turner after Mounds View's section playoff win against Roseville on October 31st. They eventually ask him about his recruitment and I find it interesting at the least that he mentions us first when naming schools. Maybe it was an accident, maybe not. I realize that a week after the interview, Hallstrom reported his verbal to ndsu on his blog, but I don't think we should stop recruiting this kid given the fact that his "verbal" seems so uncertain and awfully soft. Has any other media outlet besides the bison blog reported the verbal from Turner? The article that 92,96 linked and posted came 6 days after the Hallstrom blog post. It mentions ndsu and Northern Iowa as the leaders in that article, but doesn't quote the kid as saying he has verballed to ndsu. Maybe he does end up at UNI or ndsu eventually, but I'm not sure we shouldn't stay on him.

IMO, this is the KEY to UND Football in the near future. A Sioux-Bison game would then have to happen. All this would have a positive domino effect on the football program in the long run. I believe getting into the Summit would have a positive effect on getting into the MVFC. Maybe I am wrong. Enter the Sioux nickname and logo decision.

As already stated in this thread earlier, I also strongly encourage everyone to forward these thoughts to Alerus management and AD Brian Faison.

And I respect yours. Being upset with this loss, as well as being critical of the team and coaches is fine. I was referring to some other things that were being said when I talked about "going off the deep end". Nobody should consider this loss to be acceptable.

No kidding. I'm not sure what I'm more disappointed in, the way UND played and lost today, or the way some people are commenting. No doubt, it's very disappointing and unacceptable for us to lose to a NAIA team. Sioux Falls is talented, well-coached and disciplined and were the better team today. No excuses. I'm no happier about it than anyone else on here. I think it sucks bad that we lost to them and I am very frustrated. However, I like Shawn-O's idea. Wait till the end of the season to see how this thing plays out before going off the deep end. We will learn a lot about the overall character of this team in the coming weeks. What we do from here on out for the rest of the season will have a very big effect on how we recruit in the near future. Hopefully, we have reached bottom in terms of morale for the transition. We knew it wasn't going to be easy. Nowhere to go but up from here.

While I regretfully won't be making it up this weekend to watch the football and the hockey games, I take a little comfort in the fact that I get to watch UND Hockey on Friday evening on FSN North, Sioux Football on Saturday afternoon on Fox College Sports, and then UND Hockey again on Saturday evening on FSN North, all from the comfort of my own home on this little thing called Direct TV. Fantastic. That TV deal is HUGE. I really hope the hockey crowd makes it over to the football game in the afternoon to support the team.

I couldn't agree more. No matter what happens, we will ALWAYS be the Fighting Sioux, whether it's official or unofficial. If the name and logo are retired, we do NOT need a new nickname and logo. UND Fighting Sioux Pride will live on forever regardless of the election results tonight, or the SBoHE ultimate decision.

No, actually we gave up 65 points last week and lost by 34 on the road to Stephen F. Austin. Not really on a roll. Welcome back for game week, yotes fans. I look forward to the game on Saturday. Hopefully the trend of UND having USD's number will continue, although I know it will be a tough game like always. Looking to go 13 of our last 14 against USD since 1996. By the way, how was the crowd for your game last week against Southeastern Louisiana?

Totally fricking agree 100%. It's going to be a long haul, and we will continue to gradually get better over this season and the next couple of years. It will be fun to watch us transform into a full-fledged FCS team. Even after tonight's awful loss, I am still excited about the future.

Disappointing loss? Yes, absolutely. Especially in the way in which we lost. Our team weaknesses were exposed tonight against a superior FCS opponent. I just hope our team learns from it and uses it for the rest of the season. We are so young and inexperienced right now and it showed tonight. Still a lot of season left though. We need a good showing next week from the team and our fans at the Alerus against a good USD team for homecoming.

I had problems as well. No video at all, and audio was failing towards the end of the broadcast. This is poor service and a lot of people are paying for a membership, myself included. This has been a problem for a few years now. Time for the athletic department to either figure out what they have, or cut their losses and go in another direction. SIOUXtra service has been unacceptable. If you are unhappy as well, I suggest we try get this problem fixed by contacting the appropriate people at the athletic department.

IMO, you don't take points off the board in that situation. Nothing is guaranteed if you take the penalty except for a 1st down and 1 more play.
