  1. Why does Ralph Nader come to mind?
  2. sagard, I don't think the Gophers are a bad team; in fact, they're downright very good when they actually try. They just haven't shown me they have the consistency it takes to bring home the hardware this year. And isn't proven consistency, not just the fact that a team has talent on its roster, what most people look at first & most when forecasting their team's liklihood of winning it all (especially at this time of the year)? Maybe they have a switch they can collectively flip come playoff time & play on all cylinders for 4 straight games, proving me & others wrong. I just don't see it happening though.
  3. I think the NYT has an opening for you.
  4. I feel good about Zach & Bo's chances now that I see the other finalists. Congrats & good luck to both of you!!
  5. Of course you won't hear anything if your hearing aid isn't on Bummer, thx for trying though.
  6. Your smugness & condescending attitude typify what I despise about Gopher fans. You'd receive better responses by preaching to the choir at POI.
  7. I suppose if you're 80 y/o you could just write off your baldness to old age. If you're still young, you're probably going to stress out & lose even more precious hairs worrying about it. You're fighting an uphill battle against nature. Try not to be so vain, some chicks dig bald.
  8. Yeah, it hurts to know that the Gophers' spotty goaltending & wildly inconsistent overall play will be a factor come playoff time I was referencing your gloating about sweeping a bad SCSU team & how stupid it was to think you guys were now back to form as a result.
  9. A cocky Gopher, go figure. If you want to thump your chest like a chimp & spread your wings like a male peacock after sweeping a pathetic SCSU team, go right ahead. Gauging your team's future success on the basis of how you DOMINATED a team in disarray the last 2 weeks isn't exactly smart. GLUG..GLUG..GLUG..(the sound of the Gopher Titanic taking on water & listing 45 deg. to starboard side once they face some real competition).
  10. Keep trying, you're about as objective as Johnny Gilbert; might as well steal some of PCM's "medicinal" paint & spray yourself green.
  11. Parise, for reasons already mentioned by others here.
  12. Yeah, very informative post, Rick. Thanks. With the exception of Beaverson, our d-men the next few years appear to bring a different style & element than the current ones: Chorney, Radke & Lee seem to play with more emphasis on puck control & maybe are better playmakers. Will be a fun group to watch.
  13. Besides your obsessive-compulsive habit of ALWAYS putting a smilie face above your posts, probably your unique sense of humor, i.e. "Landcows" & exaggerated predictions of Sioux beating their opponents like 34-0, are definite Digglerism's
  14. This art of identifying people through their writing styles is called forensic linguistics & you did a good job. I can also read posts here without looking at the username & pretty much determine who wrote it. Like: * ; or anything supporting the neo-geriatric movement..... These are obvious PCM traits. * "Goofers suck"; "7>5".....Telltale signs of Goon * Anything with a lot of dry stats.....look no further than Jim Dahl * "OK, I'm sorry & I apologize for expressing my opinion. Geez".....Redwing77 * The one who defends outdated '80s hairstyles with a vengeance.....DaveK * The one who almost always inserts a link or 2 in his posts.....The Sicatoka * If there's an image, pretty sure that it's.....ScottM * "I really need to score this weekend".....Minnesota North Star * From USCHO: "You're no MaizeRage", "Dope
  15. Anybody know which is closer to UND, the Michigan or Colorado regional?
  16. Nice upbeat song but I doubt they'd play it I've always liked "Smoke on the Water" by Deep Purple & "The Summer Song" by Gary Howie (??) which has a killer guitar riff that would make the dead wanna boogie.
  17. Good for the Seawolves--they came through in the clutch; bad for the Badgers--they choked & hurt their PWR; good for the Sioux--they'll have fresh wheels on Thurs. afternoon & their opponent will have rubber legs by the 2nd period; good for the Gophers--they have 1 less game to play now.
  18. Which would mean an easier road for the Gophers in their quest for a 3-peat.
  19. Never mind, I guess it's the 2nd intermission.
  20. How much time left in that Duluth game?
  21. Brendan Shanahan scores a hattrick to lead Detroit to an overtime victory over Greg Johnson & the Predators.
  22. 01grad: If AA wins it's probably easier for us because we get to play a tired team in the afternoon; but it would also be easier for the Gophers because it's one less game they would have to play. The more they play, the more tired they'll no doubt be once the tournament starts.
  23. Maybe Badgers fans should do the almighty Wave to get their team back in the game. That'll inspire them to victory. COME ON BADGERS!! Don't let some cheeseburger-loving traitor beat you all by himself!!
