  1. Yes, I ABSOLUTELY do think they stack up to Chicago or any one else for that matter. The names I just mentioned are all solid D men. Have you gotten a chance to see much of the Rangers this year? They are VERY good defensively.
  2. I wholeheartedly disagree with the D comment. McDonaugh-Girardi, Stall-Stralman is a heckuva top two pairing. Throw Klein and J. Moore in there... that's a good D corp.
  3. Everyone seems to give the Rangers no chance and I just don't get it. Can someone, siouxweet maybe?, tell me why they have no shot. I'd really like to know! I'm not being facetious. I wanna know why people think LA will dominate.
  4. I just don't get why people think that the Rangers don't have a shot! I get it. The west is better. But to say the Rangers don't have a legit shot at winning is dumb to me.
  5. Don't forget that clearing attempt that went out of play and should have given the Rangers a 5x3 to bury the Habs. Just sayin
  6. RANGERS BABY! I'm so pumped. Dominating performance last night by the Blueshirts. That third period, although a one-goal game, was all NYR from puck drop. Bring it on, west!
  7. Might be my first, vivid sports memory. I was 6. I still get chills when I hear Howie Rose's call of Matteau! Matteau! Matteau! Bourque's comment about Lundqvist is laughable. Tokarski has been good, no doubt, but I think Henrik shows the world why he's the best in the world tonight.
  8. Alright, so who wins tonight? Does King Henrik reign again and get the Blue Shirts back in the Final for the first time in 20 years, or are we going back to Montreal for Game 7? #LGR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. No breaks. The evil of 1D must be stopped. Intervention is a must
  10. To each your, his own, methinks, but I call FOUL!
  11. I guess a Sioux jersey doesn't bother me in that sense. It's more so if a person is wearing a jersey of another team in the same league (Ie: A SAWWWWX jersey to a Yankee/Os game).
  12. Haha... well... under my previously stated fair or foul... the hat is clearly fine, while the jersey is not. You He must really enjoy your jersey collection enough to wear that in public.
  13. Lidstrom jersey is just fine. Agreed. I think it's absolutely stupid when people do that (in bold). Makes ZERO sense. You are trying to start crap and that's it.
  14. Wearing a jersey of a team who's not playing is kind of silly to me. Only exception, to me, is wearing a Sioux jersey (or any college/junior team, for that matter) of a player that is playing on the team of the NHL game you are watching (Ie: Toews, Osh, Green, etc.). This can be applied to other sports, IMO. I feel like it's begging for attention/conflict when you wear a Red Sox jersey to a Yankee game when the Yankees are playing the Orioles. Just my opinion.
  15. I prefer my ice cream sans sardines, as well.
  16. I see what you did there!
  17. Torts was so stubborn. So, so, so stubborn. I love AV's game. The short shift, roll four lines with the lead game is a solid approach, especially with the Rangers' team speed. Subban has showed his true, selfish colors in this series. Was a liability in Game 1 and a big TO lead to the backbreaker. In Game 2, he was trying to be a one man show and go coast to coast too much. He's talented, but he's a "me" player. Learn to pass the puck, young man. Lundqvist is on a different planet, right now. The 41 stops is a wee bit misleading as many of the shots were just thrown at him from all over the ice, but he was other worldly in the first. MVP type play.
  18. Honestly, it may be ugly. Rangers could very well light this kid up. He gave up 3 goals on 11 shots to the Rangers last year. On the other hand, he's won at every level. But.... this is a different level.
  19. Tokarski, huh? Not surprised, I guess, since Budaj has like .843 sv pct in the playoffs. Not sure if I'm more happy or more terrified for this. Rangers should be licking their chops, but, I just hope this kid doesn't turn some rookie magic. Kid has excelled at every level.
  20. Powerful, powerful stuff. If Moore doesn't win the Masterson this season, I have no idea how. He plays like he's dying. All heart.
  21. And I think I get why you'd believe that, but the Rangers can definitely hang with the rest of teams playing.
  22. Bet's on. I'm in ... I'd love to take a 6er of BLLs from ya, Goonie
  23. He was BRUTAL in Game 1 and was a big-time liability. He might have a good series, but he sure didn't look like he would by his performance in Game 1. No, I know you're not hating and I agree that the west has been better this season. That being said, I don't think anyone is playing better than the Rangers over the last two weeks. Lundqvist is on a different planet, right now and has been almost all playoffs. They are getting scoring from all over the place, too. Since MSL's mom died (before Game 5), they have rallied big time. 5-1 win, 3-1 win, 2-1 win, 7-2 win. 17-5 in those four games. Kreider coming back from injury was huge, too. McDonaugh was unreal in Game 7 against the Pens and Game 1 against the Habs. As far as being "much better", you have to only compare head-to-head. If the Kings and Hawks were much better, they wouldn't have been a combined 1-3 against the Rangers. NYR matches up very well against both those teams. Lundqvist keeps playing like he's playing and I think they are a SERIOUS contender.
