And whataya know, NDSU fans say they can compete and many UND fans say they couldn't or it would take a long time for them to. If there were an article about NDSU thinking about adding hockey or anything of the like, this conversation makes sense. Other than that, this is completely worthless to go round and round. Typically you'd have to have some sort of a development in the thread topic to really engage anyone in dusting off a 10 year old thread. There are multiple threads on college hockey expansion. Unless there is some sort of news regarding NDSU and college hockey, kind of a silly thread to get going.

Lol Tate was a senior when he finally got his time. Apples and oranges comparison. Transfer? Why? Next year Rinks is a senior and Johnson is a jr. At worst, he's a back up until his Sr. year and then gets all the time. At best, he wins the job and starts 2-3 years. Tomek did his homework before committing and my guess is that he knew this possibly could happen coming in. Without getting injured, he woulda definitely had his shot. He'll get it again next year, if not by the end of this year. Also... remember who drafted him

I think it's only different in that there is SOME chance. Matthews has zero chance. Schmaltz is more than likely gone, but there's still a chance.
