  1. Brad could have left GF several times for much more lucrative ventures. He just loves what he does.
  2. I'll push back on that a little bit. He made a couple really big saves last night. But frankly, we can't expect him to stop ALL what I think was 5 breakaways last night. He'll definitely want back a couple of goals last night, but, the dude has it in him. All mental, at this point.
  3. Alright, again, let's turn the page. Get the split and all is well, IMO. Very, very interested to see who starts in net. 5-3 UND
  4. Frisch has been way, way more consistent defensively than Johnny, IMO.
  5. He's been too inconsistent. Simple as that, IMO.
  6. I mean, UND scores 4 goals per game and UMD is clipping at 27% on the PP. You sure? lol.
  7. You kidding? We'll be back-to-back champs and people will be pissed if we don't get the third
  8. My guess is that team that drafts him sees that UND knows what they are doing because we have 5 proven NCAA defensemen and his NTDP teammate in front of him.
  9. Spot on. Again, Ryder Donovan would be in a suit nearly every night this season. He made his choice and I wish him luck.
  10. If they don't want to come in here and work for a spot, what does that say about their character?
  11. I could see Bast, Tychonick, Moore, and Kleven absolutely battling for those last two to three spots and I do not see that as a problem. Sure, you push your prospects to go here, but guys like these four aren't 2 year college players. Definitely get where you're coming from, but I don't believe Moore or Kleven would be put off by the idea of having to battle for ice time. And if they are, I'd be questioning their work ethic. Every player who comes to UND was the best player on their team at some point. Gotta earn the ice. I agree that developing NHL talent is a massive part of our recruiting, but so is winning national championships. Keeping Kierstad and JBD helps that possibility.
  12. Who said they will sit? Did anyone think Frisch would be a mainstay on the blueline this season? Plus, the extra skater helps depth. I don't think losing Kierstad or JBD is a good thing, whatsoever, for the team. You come to UND, you aren't guaranteed anything. Gotta earn the ice time.
  13. Losing Poolman cannot be understated, but I know for a fact our defensive corps is going to be fine next year. If everyone leaves (Kierstad and JBD included, even though they're leaning towards staying), we'll have some growing pains, but still will be stacked.
  14. I think this team has gotten used to the idea that what they say goes. If we tell a player that we feel they could use another year in junior, if they don't like it, so be it. Being confident in the style is perfect. Anyone think Ryder Donovan would be playing big minutes right now? If UND coaches Halliday that he needs another year, hopefully he gets the hint. Maybe Jamernik is a contingency plan for a surprise? Idk lol. What I've heard is that no one is really a done deal to leave. All of the guys leaning towards staying are still leaning towards staying.
  15. AmSoil arena website says 7:30 and so does the guide on my TV.
  16. Very big game tonight. If we win this one, tomorrow is icing on the cake, IMO. I think Scheel is back in between the pipes and I think he'll get dialed in. Getting Pooly back is massive against a very good PP. 4-2 UND Adams, Weatherby, Pinto, Pooly
  17. What else are we going to talk about today?
  18. This is fun. Let's keep going with the NCAA tournament cliches
  19. Goodness, I get it. No one is saying that NCAA tournament games are easy.
  20. Hahaha for the win! Wish I woulda had that comeback. Well done.
  21. Never said that whatsoever, but, alright man. I'd prefer playing AIC over anyone else in the tournament.
  22. Of course, but I'd rather play certain teams lol.
  23. I certainly don't disagree, but, you like Schloss' coverage, right? Well, if none of us pay for the online or paper in general, we're not going to have him covering UND hockey forever.
  24. Moy's first Bracketology from USCHO: West Regional (Loveland): 14 Northeastern vs. 2 Minnesota State 11 Arizona State vs. 5 Denver Midwest Regional (Allentown): 16 AIC vs. 1 North Dakota 9 Penn State vs. 8 Clarkson East Regional (Albany): 13 UMass Lowell vs. 3 Cornell 12 Minnesota Duluth vs. 6 Massachusetts Northeast Regional (Worcester): 15 Quinnipiac vs. 4 Boston College 10 Providence vs. 7 Ohio State Conference breakdowns Hockey East — 5 ECAC Hockey — 3 NCHC — 3 Big Ten – 2 Atlantic Hockey – 1 Independent – 1 WCHA — 1 Personally, I'd much rather play in Allentown with PSU there than Worcester with BC there. If BC is a 2 seed, that mucks it all up. If I'm being honest, I'd take our region over any of the others.
  25. Right. So, leans me towards that it didn't happen, but whatever.
