Boy, that is a glaring fact, other than ND has less hockey tradition

The point I was going for is the killer schedule that the "west" teams have put the team at a disadvantage with regard to have players battling injuries at the end of the year. Another thought was how a team is upset much to surprise of the fans, when BU lost to PC, had BU been so focused on UND that they left nothing in the tank? Not much else for me to think about on this windy afternoon, I hate wish summer gone but I wish it was October.

Your kind of missing my point, which may be a direct result of my debating skills. I don't see how UND or the state is funding this "Sioux were silenced campaign" or how it hurts UND or UND sports. The back door to getting the name back is the Sioux tribes, especially Standing Rock wakes up and realizes that they are being discriminated against when they name fades in history.

What about Hrkac, Troy Murray, Jason Blake? just spitballing, I seem to recall some where that great players don't make great coachs, Gretzky vs. that Detroit coach, who I recall play Canadian college, so not calling him a great player may me look the fool, but looking like a fool on an internet forum is all the craze

IMHO, in football and basketball the pace is slower, there are more time outs, there is more coaching input, the fast paced dynamic of hockey leans toward conditioned responses and effort along with recognition (hockey sense) Your thoughts?

Are 2/3rds the voters of ND connected to the issue? I currently live in SW ND and am outnumbered by NDSO alumni by 10-1. Do you let your neighbors decide the color of your house or name your dog? Wonder how many of the 2/3rds had ulterior motives or just wanted the news story to change?

I actually think the case could be made that Sioux tribe is being minimalized by the Chippeawa's that run the UND Indian Studies program and if the Standing Rock tribe realized that the are actually being played by a centuries old rival there is a small glimmer of hope, of course I also hoped Boston made the playoffs and the Pens went golfing

The question should be "How can I help?" I keep thinking of the BU pre game speech and wondering what UND's was like. Maybe a speech writer / sports shrink / motivational speaker could help things? We just need to tweak the machine, not burn it down, what tweak is the million dollar question

With regards to the success with walk on players, you could suggest a theory that coach's ability to make top players from walk on players is a selling point for recruits that I am fairly certain scout schools with a "what can you do for me" question as one of their criteria.

Can a comparison be made in every sport, that domination by one or a few programs weakens as the sport itself develops. Or is that parity in a nutshell. If we won every year, it would be like winning a jv championship because the haters would want the program moved to AHL status. Sort of like the threat to Olympic womens hockey, domination by Canada and US is perceived as detrimental and may cause it to be dropped.
