Perhaps Berry had a sense of honor that is being systematically removed from college hockey, and from society in general. Hearing that potential players had been told "sorry, we are full" makes me think that Berry commits to a recruit and will honor that commitment no matter the consequences. People that left early under him, were they shown the door, or was it more the player deciding to move elsewhere? Hope this UMD player works out, a new facet of being a fan that I will struggle with is my dislike of an opposing player, mostly due to his play, but now I am supposed to be happy and welcoming.... Does the "GM" need to be employed by the university? Seems like NIL is destined to run the show, should the "GM" be employed there and just work closely with the coaching staff?

Why is Bryn considered a coach, why is the GM position not outside the coaching staff? I suppose the short answer is NC$$, but wouldn't the same role be just as effective without that title?

At this level, does the position played during playing careers matter, or does "student of the game" take center stage?

Having an American coach that can be a WJC coach is a plus. Didn't someone mention years back that a Canadian coaching in ncaa is not likely to coach WJC Canadian team?
