  1. Gophs up 2-0. UAA really getting bottled up by the Dogs! 6:54 left in the first. Still 1-0 Dogs.
  2. I'm listening to the Dogs, so I wouldn't know. Junior Lessard scores!!!!!!!!!!!! Dogs lead 1-0
  3. Rolling on the floor!!!!!!
  4. That why I love College Hockey! It's not all about making the big money, or switching teams (usually).
  5. Interestingly enough, my Mom has never even seen those movies. I thought it would be a prerequisite for living in San Dimas. I bet she doesn't even know who "Soh-kraytes" is!!
  6. You could be right SFiP. I don't mind listening to foreign announcers, so there's usually an audio feed for either the home or the visiting team. The only WCHA team that I have not found one for is Denver, and they do have one, but they make you pay for the audio (what makes them think Denver hockey is worth paying to hear?).

I wish I could have listened to the show today. It would have been great to hear the Penalty Box gang blast those Maroon and Gold bleeders!!
  8. I'm predicting a Sioux sweep as well. probably 4-1 or 4-2 tonight, then 7-2 tomorrow.
  9. Mom just called me last night to report that the fires near her house were put out. What a relief!!
  10. UMD hosts Alaska-Anchorage. These are the games we need to win. Last years losses to Bemidji State, Wisco x2, and Tech really hurt the Dogs. We need to take care of the lower end teams, although UAA looks improved this year. Very nervous about this series, and what will happen to the Dogs rankings if they don't sweep. The Sioux better watch out that the Nat'l #1 bug doesn't bite them this weekend!! Good luck!
  11. I know a lot of Sioux fans who are pretty rowdy as well!!
  12. The USA Today Poll seems to be a bit more like what I would have done with the rankings after last weeekend. UMD #10, UM #12, UND #2. I certainly don't like them listing us as MSU-D though... Get it right!!
  13. I voted for Schmitt. Have you had him yet? He seems to be one of the more consistent refs in the league.
  14. Why would there be? Lemaire has shown in the past that the roles on his successful teams are interchangable. If we can't sign him, trade him to someone who can, and get someone else to step in and fill his role. Minnesota's successes the past three seasons began behind the bench. Hiring Lemaire was the best decision the Wild made in starting up their franchise. Attributing the teams success to one player is just ridiculous to me.
  15. My mom lives in San Dimas, which is very close to San Bernardino. She has not been told to evacuate yet though. Hopefully they will get them under control soon!
  16. What are unproven teams like Harvard and Cornell doing in the top 15? This is not a preseason ranking anymore...It should reflect performance on the ice, and no longer reflect the preseason hype. Dogs should be #9. My $0.02.
  17. I have to stay on the good side of these Sioux fans! That way they'll keep bashing the Goofers, and leave the Dogs alone. Of course after this weekend, they have plenty more material on the Gophers anyway. I'd rather have DB's goalie situation than DL's. At least DB has more options!!
  18. Plus playing the Sioux gives us a great strenght of schedule!!
  19. P.S.-- You can thank us now for dumping the Goophs into 10th in the USCHO Poll and inserting you in the #2 spot. I guess it is partially due to the UNH loss over the weekend as well, but it was MOSTLY us!! Sweeping the Gophers at Mariucci get the Dogs into 12th. Frankly I was looking for a little bit more of a jump...but I can't complain. It's just a poll after all. Gophs ranked 10th with 1-3-0 record. Beat UNO, lost to Maine and UMDx2 UMD ranked 12th with 2-2-1 record. Beat UMx2, tied BC, lost to UND and Mich St. Do I smell favoritism??
  20. Losses now matter just as much in the PWR as they do at the end of the season. Without the old "last 15 games being weighted more heavily" deal, the only reason a loss at the beginning is better than a loss at the end is that losses at the beginning don't kill momentum heading into the postseason. Losses at the beginning, however, may prevent a team from getting there. Once the PWR gets well enough established...say around January, it is nearly impossible to get it to move anywhere (especially if you are in the top 30). Just ask Duluth last year. They got locked in at about 23rd, and despite an 11-4-1 stretch run, they could only pass ONE TEAM. If the Gophers ranking slips too much, they may be not able to climb back into the mix in time, no matter how brilliant the turnaround is. I like the way the Dogs are taking care of business this year. They know that every game...no matter how early in the season it is...counts BIG TIME!!!!! Especially games against TUC (teams under consideration). GO DOGS!!
  21. I can't get over this!!!!!!!!! Sweeping the Goofs at Mariucci does not happen! Even to the best teams in the nation. It just does NOT happen!! How can I describe the joy I am feeling right now!?! I know you all feel it with me!! Where is the WPoS now?? Playing a lonely game of beer darts at the bottom of the WCHA standings along with the Badger fans!!!!!
  22. Lucky for me I have a ticket connection. My dad knows the guy who dresses up as the Maroon Loon mascot. And yes, I am in shock!!!!! Go Dogs!!!!!
  23. WOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! S--W--E--E--P!!!!!! No salute when the road team sweeps, eh?
  24. :38 left. It's gut check time!
  25. 1:50 left.....I'm getting sick
