After some exhaustive research, it appears Scott received a game DQ earlier this season for leaving the bench against UMN. That would indicate that this time he gets a 2 game DQ, correct?

BSM and SLP had some classic section playoff games! I went to SLP, and it seemed that (at least for as few years) the section was won by either SLP or BSM.

Will Scott be out for one or two games (or more)? I doubt this was his first fight, but does anybody know for sure how many games he will be out?

It's true. The Sioux powerplay struggled early, but mostly during the NC part of the season.

True. I think we may see 2 WCHA teams in the Final Four, depending on how the seeding goes. We now have 8 of the top 14 PWR spots, not to mention our 48-18-9 non-conference record.

UAA is no slouch. I would expect a good atmosphere for any league game, especially a game against a 6th place opponent who has swept CC, and played tough against many of the top teams in the league.

I think there are 6 teams that could have a beef with that statement.

NObody else came close to the kind of weekend Vanek and Parise had. Lessard for UMD had 3-1-4, and Schwabe extended his point streak to 13 games. I would say the award should go to Parise, but Vanek may get it because of his hat-trick.

You sound rather confident. I agree that the Sioux will most likely win the league title, given that no team has really been able to play with them. Their lead is 2 points, plus they have 2 games in hand over UMD. The season is far from over, so there is still a small chance that the Sioux could be passed.

It may be because teams going up against Tech know how dangerous they can be, and play accordingly. Conversely, teams going up against the Mavs think they can just sleepwalk through the weekend and come out with 4 points (see MSU v. Denver).

There will be at least one UMD fan there!!

I think the Sioux will handle the Gophers. I'm not saying it will be easy, the Gophers have defeated some top notch Non-Conf. teams during their latest run, but have not really played any of the top teams in the conference during their streak. If the Gophers are really planning on making a run, then they will need to do well against the top three (UND, UMD, UW); their next three conference opponents.

I am wondering how far JBSU would drop in the PWR if they lose to UAA. I don't think they will drop lower than UMD with just this loss, but you never know. I can't stay up and wait for the end of the UAA game. Goodnight all! Thanks for the update!!

Thanks PCM. I'm really hoping UAA holds on and the Dogs can vault into 2nd!! Didn't get to hear the Dogs game tonight, just listened in and out at a party. Another big win for us though.

In the future I will start a UMD thread for updates. I won't be around tonight however, as I am going to a party. Good luck against Tech tonight, although you probably won't need any luck. Hopefully UAA can get it together and beat JBSU. The Dogs could theoretically be tied for first after tonight if you lose, but at least if JBSU loses we can take second, with Wisco playing NC Notre Dame.

I thought posting a periodic update of league scores would give you a good idea of how the competition is doing. Plus the updates are much closer to real-time than looking at USAToday.com, or some other scoreboard site. Nobody really seems so mind except you. I just politely posted short scores updates for the UMD/CC game. I know in the past I have gone a little overboard with the posting during games, but I thought that tonight I exercised proper restraint. The only reasons I began rapid posting were: 1. The Sioux/MTU game was over and nobody seemed to really be discussing it. 2. Everyone on the board posting at the time was also listening to the Dogs game, or waiting for updates to said game. (CRR, 7>4, Sioux Fan; were very appreciative of my updates, and the rarity of my posting). Part of the reason I started coming to this board was just to get real-time score updates on the Sioux games, but I found so much more!
