  1. Pitching was good enough to advance but offense wasn’t close. Just way too many easy ABs that put no stress on opposing pitchers. Gotta think this was the end of a couple longtime Twins in Polanco and Kepler.

  2. Kirilloff error in the 1st was killer, shoulda been a double play to get out of the inning

Zero plate discipline at all from the Twins today

Jeffers/Gray never did figure out Astros were just sitting on breaking stuff and fighting off fastballs

and the head coach of the arizona wildcats also gets 'PUSSY OF THE NIGHT"....for his non-call on going for 2 and the win against SC

Jimbo Fisher 2 and Steve Sarkasian to round out the top 3 in this topic this week.

mario cristobal should be fired immediately

Isn't the first time he has made that mistake either, had a similar issue at Oregon against Stanford I think

    Pablo day.  Big time spot.

    Right handed hitting lineup today...

Solano, Castro, Polanco, Jeffers, Royce, Correa, Farmer, Taylor for sure.  Do you have Julien play or Kiriloff?  Solano plays first or second then.

Julien over Kiriloff easy. Kiriloff has been awful. If you want you don't have to start either though.

    C-Jeffers 1B-Solano 2B-Farmer/Polanco SS-Correa 3B-Farmer/Polanco LF-Castro CF-Taylor RF-Kepler DH-Lewis

We have got to go to AAA system of robo ump pitch calling.

    This guys been awful

Twins with too many missed chances offensively.

AK and Wallner have struggled mightily in the playoffs.

  7. Ober seemed to really struggle with his changeup command and that is what Alvarez took out. Coming out first pitch fastball to Altuve who loves to jump on the first pitch and then missing up where he loves the ball was killer.

Offensively I fear we missed our chance to get Verlander early and now he will settle in.

Eff....just read that.  I would have kept another lefty, but hopefully Thielbar is all they need.

Thing with this argument is even against lefties I think they trust just about every righty more than Funderbuk. Like if it is the 7th inning and you've already used Thielbar and Tucker or Alvarez comes up I'd bet a lot of $$$$ they would go to Stewart or Jax over Funderbuk.

Twins going with Ober. Suprised it wasn't Ryan.

Feel much more comfortable with Ober on the mound especially in that park. Ryan has the propensity to give up homers and Minute Maid plays small. Feel like Ober has been more consistent the past couple weeks as well.

  10. Would think Ryan pitches game 1 Saturday question is do you bring Lopez back for game 2 Sunday or use Ober/Maeda and let Lopez pitch game 3. Think I'd go Ober for game 2 and keep Maeda out of the pen.

  11. Great start from Lopez.

Bullpen was solid, gotta admit I was worried when Jax came on but he came through after the double.

Great defensive plays from Correa, Taylor, and Solano.

Lineup had a tough approach the first half of the game before really falling off.

    Royce Lewis is him.

  12. Fully believe if Andy Dalton plays today the Vikings lose that game. While I think Young will grow into a solid QB(although I said at draft time Stroud was better) he just isn't processing quick enough right now and Flores took full advantage of that giving him a ton of looks and causing chaos.

    Is P.J. Fleck’s job safe?

Yes but his absolute refusal to adapt his style and instead being the most risk averse coach ever is just incompetence from him. The loss last night is completely on him and absolutely inexcusable. He has done a lot of good for the Minnesota program and has them very competitive consistently but hasn't got them over the top and there are a number of losses where they had no business losing when you look at the final stats but because of the style he wants games stay close and teams can pull out a game with one mistake. Ideally I'd like for him to finally realize his mistakes and learn from them and give more freedom to his OC letting the offense be more wide open uptempo and free but I don't have any faith that he will which is why if someone like Michigan State comes after him in a couple months I won't be fretting about losing him.

  14. After Arozarena hit that first foul ball I said you either better make a sharper pitch Jax or just walk him and then he left another middle middle for a foul ball but Arozarena didn't miss another.

Still cut the magic number to 9 as Cleveland losses late again.

I can see them getting 8 wins and being 3-0 before Oregon.

I wonder how many of the guys on the team last year that just decided to leave and not compete for a spot on the roster are wishing they stayed.

Haha there were very few guys if any that "left" that could've stayed at Colorado, Deion had guys he wanted in the portal and needed to open up a ton of spots and that is what he did. A lot of people didn't agree with how he went about it but you can't argue that it is working so far for him.

  16. Terrible loss. Gave the game away, not sharp offensively at all but they kinda get what they deserve for not trying to fix the OL at all and thinking Ingram was "fine". Maybe Cousins and the O coulda used a little work in the preseason as well. Defensively I thought they looked much better but couldn't finish on enough plays and then not having one more vet CB definitely hurt today.

Felt like a must win game today with @ Philly and then the Chargers up next. Chiefs and Niners also in the first half of the schedule and it could get pretty rough.
