  1. Fat F*&k Keith F*&^in' Jackson on CSTV??? Did the game get called because of fog??
  2. Please make sure to check out my new line of NORTH DAKOTA HOCKEY merchandise and gear at both The Ralph and the Bookstore this season. I have come up with some nice new designs. There should be something for everybody. Enjoy. NDH
  3. Almost three years ago to the day, we were fortunate enough to take a cool early fall road trip to Dayton, Ohio for the Lefty McFadden. There, we saw the young and promising Sioux, with only a few days of practice and one game against Miami under their belt, lost 3-0 to Michigan State and a hot young goaltender by the name of Lerg. It was there that Michigan State players made wisecracks in the elevator wondering whose "little brother" Duncan was. It was there that, in their first game together against Miami, a 3-0 shutout, Toews, Oshie, and Duncan all notched points in their first game as Sioux. The Sioux juniors were freshman that year, and at times both very green and very promising freshman that weekend. There are many paybacks to be dished out this year, and there are many goals to be scored and accomplished this year. They all start Saturday night with a beating of a tough and veteran Spartan team. It will be a great game. It will be a great atmosphere. It will be the first of many wins on what promises to be a very memorable year in college hockey. Win. Lose. Or draw. Nothing beats college hockey except, of course, SIOUX HOCKEY!! We will hit the trail tomorrow. Thankfully, El Grande Forke is a much shorter drive than is Dayton, Ohio.
  4. Psb is right. I punched in 12033 instead of the coordinate of 12031. Vertical. 4880. Everything the same except for a 12033 frequency instead of the published 12031. Bingo. Signal. Picture. Game.
  5. No luck with the satellite. Anyone with a radio link for me?
  6. Bummer. I had my dish aimed a month ago and now I am showing no quality of signal on the coordinates that I am supposed to be on. I am an idiot, by and large, and cannot raise my guy by phone. Busy. Anyone with any ideas?
  7. Magness is right on campus. I don't recall if there are hotels right near by, but there must be. Within a short cab or bus distance for sure. I would call the DU Athletic Department, or the DU Administration, and ask someone there the name, phone, and location of the nearest campus hotel. Heck, if you are flying out as well, stay near the airport and shuttle to and fro. That is the trip that will break you.
  8. Well, I am pretty sure that he is neither concerned with your contract nor mine. Most everyone else's for that matter as well. The reasons why he is concerned about Hak's deal getting done should be well obvious to all Sioux fans. You'd hate to see him leave, and be replaced by a snakeoil salesman like Ned Harkness, or Tim Brewster, no?
  9. The Source does not get offended. He is a higher power. His reference to the Post #23 is a suggestion, I believe, that it is really a "message" from Ralph. From the beyond. With instructions. Or at least suggestions . . . .
  10. This is a legitimate concern expressed by a knowledgeable Sioux supporter. Buning is stepping on his richard and there is a real danger that this is not going to get done. In the final run, one or the other of these two guys may well be history. Whom do you prefer be shown the door? The deal is, Buning is a big, and a good, cheerleader, and can do a few push ups to boot. However, he is, in my opinion, way over his head in running a D-1 athletic department. His military mentality, which serves him well in certain walks of life no doubt, handcuffs him well in others. As for contract negotiations, being a goverment man, all he has ever had to do is look up the government's pay matrix. Years of service. Job classification. Voila. There is the pay raise. He is likely dumbfounded on the subtle intricacies of D-1 coaching deals. Here is saying that Hak will be signed, and perhaps soon. However, it will be inked by an athletic director whose name is something other than Tom Buning, who will soon be going the way of Tom Dooley. Hanging his head.
  11. Damned straight, Rick. Dead banging on.
  12. Here is hoping that everyone planning to take in this event has a great time for a fine cause. Travel safely. See the golf ball, be the golf ball. See the fish hook, be the fish hook. See the food. Be the food. See the beverage. Be the beverage. See the auction items, buy the auction items. Bid up the price of them real high. For the kids. We are off to da Rockies.
  13. I am pretty sure that T.C. Oshie (Tournament Chair Tim) is going to be on KFAN for an hour or so today on Tim Hennessey's show to discuss this event, and I well suspect hockey in general. Not sure of the time, or where KFAN is found on your radio dial in the NW Minnesota and Greater North Dakota areas.
  14. Forgot about the sale today. Am interested LFSPRO. PM me with location and price. We are off to Fargo for a welcome home party for Iraq Vets so I will not be able to reply until tomorrow. Thanks. NDH
  15. Hey Big A HG . . . . Call the tournament chair. He'll pair you up if there are no other takers on your offer. A five handicap!! Get a job!! Have fun. It's gonna be a great event.
  16. A bump on this big and worthwhile event that is now not far away. If you haven't done it already, get your registrations in. If you cannot make it, I recommend cracking the wallet and sending the tournament a small, or sizeable, donation to ensure the success of the event. We all dribble money down our legs on trinkets and jerseys, what say we dribble some down the leg on something worthwhile. The kids. A good chance to give JT another shout out as well. Not to mention those players who are returning. Thanks to the Oshie clan for taking the time and the effort to put this toghether. ------------------------------------------------ Here is the latest press release to the Hockeytown USA Celebrity Golf Tourney which takes place on August 18, 2007. 17. Some people said the same thing about St. Louie, what with it not being a college hockey town. As I recall, the place was jammed to the rafters with college hockey fans. The secret is out. The place will be filled, regardless of whether CC, DU, or AF are in. Denver and Colorado have plenty of money, and the Frozen Four has become an event. Will tickets be available? Sure they will. For long? Likely not. At a discount? I highly doubt it. Many will be going to the Frozen Four for both the hockey and a vacation. Regardless of what teams are there. The good possibility that at least some of those teams will be teams that have fans who travel well will make the ticket even tougher. The days of empty seats at the Frozen Four are in the rear view mirror.
  18. That's a big 10-4 Triouxper. Here's saying that our 20 next April will be the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. All aboard!!
  19. For any worry warts and nay saying ninnies who may still be wringing their hands and knashing their teeth out this one . . . . Oshie Makes Tough Decision
  20. You never could stand the reality that I have more hair than you do. While you were dribbling your dough down your leg on the Helsinki Formula, I was investing in Dead Sea Mud for all of my scalp needs. I could never figure out why my plain brown boxes always arrived from some post office box in Kentucky, not from the Middle East. Ah, yes. The dog days of summer on a hockey board. Remind me again what 7>4 means?
  21. Actually, you'd have to ask all of the hairless twits on this board who wasted large sums of money on this "product" back in the days of their youth, all in a desperate reach to avoid the agony of catching glimpses of themselves in the mirror just prior to their going out courting for the evening.
  22. It's alot like plutonium, especially when in the wrong hands . . . .
  23. Thanks for noticing. 'Tis impressive.
  24. Here is the latest press release out of this event . . . . If you ain't ever been to Warroad, you'll love it. It is not only Hockeytown, USA, it is Hockeytown Heaven. How often can we be afforded the opportunity to golf, fish, wager, and schmooze with UND and NHL stars, past and present. More importantly, it is for a great cause. Investments of time, talent, and attention with our kids reap rewards a hundred fold. Those investments also often require money. If you cannot make it, as sadly I cannot, ship up a few scheckels for the cause. Well consider sending the cost of your next carton of smokes, your next case of barley pop, your next planned trip to the blackjack table, your next dumb purchase on e-Bay, your next donation to the Lord, or your next sleeve of jelly rolls up to the event to ensure that it is a rousing success for the kids of the area. Everyone attending and donating their time and talents have done much toward making this event a success. The rest of us p'ss ants can do our part by attending, or by sending a donation. You will not regret that you did. Tournament Organizer can be found here for address to mail your reasoned donation. Let's give something to TJ and the kids for all of the fine things that TJ and kids have given to us. ------------- For Immediate Press Release Tuesday, July 2, 2007 Warroad, MN: Dear Warroad Warrior Friends & Family: 2007 Hockeytown USA "For Kids Sake" Celebrity Golf Tournament & Auction Oshie Sports & Entertainment is proud to announce the 2007 Hockeytown USA "For Kids Sake" Celebrity Golf Tournament & Auction to be held on August 18-19, 2007, at the Warroad Estates Golf Course, adjecent to the beautiful southern shores of Lake of the Woods in Warroad, Minnesota. 25. Damned straight Triouxper. It is funny how a number of folks all of the sudden have seller's remorse and are now giving shout outs and well wishes to Brian. He was a top shelf WCHA defenseman. He was an NHL first round choice. He was well recognized by NHL scouts and others with an eye for talent. He was appreciated and recognized by his teammates and his coaches. He definitely will be missed by North Dakota this year. There are many boneheads who unfairly cried for Lee's head throughout the last severeal seasons. Now they have their tears of disdain affirmed. Those folks simply do not know their hockey, at least not very well. As you well point out, those folks also do not understand or appreciate that hockey is a team sport. Silly little people. Lee will be a dominant mainstay for the Senators' big club in three years or less. Read this and weep all of you Lee Lamentors.
