From what I've seen, Eidness looks like a heck of a good goalie and I think that Hakstol would be dumb not to start him from here on out for the rest of the year! Only start Walski if it is a for sure easy game (ie. Bemidji State) that could be won? Just wondering what your guys' thoughts are?

Ooops..my bad. I thought that the Dakota Marker was between NDSU and SDSU, but I wasn't 100% sure. Oh well..My mind is drawing a blank now! My bad though!

I think that sounds like a great idea! Gives the two teams a little more something to compete for when playing each other! What kind of names for the trophy should be considered by both schools? Just my two cents, but how about the Dakota Marker (I don't know if NDSU and SDSU play for this trophy at all?) or whatever else anyone else thinks? I am interested in hearing what other people think!

You have to admit though, there corners just aren't as good as they have been in the past. I admit, I only saw the one game in person this year against Texas A&M Kingsville and I could see our corners getting burnt the whole game. If Texas was a better team, it could have been a hell of a lot closer game than it was. It just seems like the defense had been lacking much of late, almost like they are not the same as they've been in the past. 14 pts. is a low production too though for the Sioux offense. I just hope that Mussman and his crew do a top-notch job of getting the right kids for our squad in the years to come. I just want to see us play competively in FCS ball. It's kind of disappointing too when our kicker isn't doing that great of late. He should have made that chip shot of a field goal from 30? yards. I don't care if he does have a leg on him, he's got to have the accuracy too.

Sioux defense is HORRIBLE this year! I went to the first game this year against Texas A&M and I could see that our corners were going to have a tough year, because they were getting burnt BADDDD against A&M of all teams! BTW Texas Tech 42 Oklahoma State 20. With the pathetic defense this year, can you say 100-6 (sympathy points) in Lubbock next year!

Has anyone heard when there is will be a confirmation of the 2009 UND football schedule? I see that USD already has their schedule out.

I hope that I'm safe with this topic. I was just wondering if anyone has heard about more football teams joining the Great West conference to round off the enough needed (I think 6???) for an autobid.

Who cares about the Icebreaker tourney. I'm more worried about WCHA wins! Give it time and they'll come around. Remember how everyone (including me) gave up on the sioux 2004-2005 through the halfway point and they came on strong all the way up to the championship game. Where they eventually lost to DU. It's too early to give up now! I really don't give a s*it about this weekend. Who said it was going to be easy without a for sure goaltender? Give it time though!

Ahh I was going to add that I saw somewhere online that the GWFC is actually a better power ranking than the Big Sky for football. Have you seen that somewhere too? (Dang I can't remember where I saw that)

I guess my question to you about the GWFC is that when the NCAA lifts the mortarium on schools making the jump up to DI, do you think we'll land another 3 or 4 quality teams to complete out the GWFC and get an auto berth (with the conference title)?

I was just curious as to everyone's thoughts. What kind of chance does UND and USD have with making it into the Big Sky conference when their 4 year hiatus is done in DI football (hopefully all sports). Or do you guys think that the MVAC is a better fit?

I think it would be great for the Sioux to have one more game added to their schedule. But with travel, expenses and such short notice, that is virtually an impossible thing for them to accomplish . 3 weeks off in a row sucks donkey butt to not being able to listen to UND football. Luckily (hopefully) this will be the only time that this will never happen. Besides that, does anyone really know why the Sioux weren't able to schedule at least one more DII team this year to make 11 games? Anyhow GO SIOUX!

It's too bad UND couldn't have added another games for the 2008 season. Kinda sucks waiting 3 weeks for them to play again

Well I retract the statement "afraid". USD just did a better job of scheduling quality opponents, but you can say that they kind of took on more than they can chew with Northern Iowa and Montana State. Did they play any DII teams this year? Better to transition into playing quality opponents, than to jump right into them.

USD will host McNeese State, Southeastern Louisiana, Southern Utah, UC-Davis, West Texas A&M and William Penn. The Coyotes will travel to Cal Poly, North Dakota, Northern Colorado and Northern Iowa. How come they will play McNeese State and Southeastern Louisiana at home? They get both Northern Colorado and Northern Iowa away too?? I think that some of these schools are afraid to play UND?
