Oshie's getting his ass kicked all over the ice.

I predict Finley will blow a play, Tech will score because of it, someone will blast Finley and then get jacked up by half the board for being a mope. I kid...

Just like a funeral sometimes. Sad but true.

Only if she has big headlights.

3rd Sioux penalty in a young game.... Nice job Shep. You sorry sack of mule sh**.

Right. I think it's a chicken-shi* move on their part. It's been offered all year long and then abruptly stops without warning. If they wish to sell the product, so be it. Let people know though.

Radio feed up. The first thing I is we have D. Shep calling the game tonight. Wonderful.
-
No feeds at all. This f-ing sucks.
-
Still no feed. I'm guessing we might be SOL here. Bummer.
-
I'd have to say this is a must "sweep" home tilt for the Sioux. Anybody have the video feed up?

You're kidding me, right? Finley was standing around in front of net with his head up his arse while Ross Carlson got the puck and blasted it in the back of the net for the game winning goal. Tell me something, anything, good that Finley does.

I've been a Packer fan since birth it seems. My family is all from Wisconsin and Dad was a huge Packer fan. Most people think Packer fans hate the Bears. Not me. I respect their blue-collar approach and tough football teams. Like you, I can't stand the Vikes. But that's a different topic for a football message board. The bootlicker comment was a bit harsh. I realized that and changed it before you responded to the post. Here is my problem with Finley. I can point out several reasons why I don't think he is a good player. He doesn't hit anybody. He doesn't clear the puck. He stands around watching (See UW's winning goal last night). He doesn't clear out front of the net. He struggles clearing the puck out of the zone. Most Finley supporters, formally known as bootlickers, talk about how big he is. I counter that with, "Who gives a flying ($&@?? Size is certainly an advantage, if you use it. Finley doesn't. What does Finley do that makes people support him, other than the jersey he wears?

I guess I'm not seeing the correlation with the Packers. I realize they suck. I can rattle off several crappy Packer players if you like. Will I have to meet them in a room and tell them face to face that I think they suck?
-
You lost me after that stupid comment. Fans commonly refer to players by nicknames. Is "Lammy" different for some reason?
-
I LOVE Tucson, AZ and Wildcat basketball. Great place. My father stills lives down there.
-
Sure they will and I don't see anything wrong with it. These players get huge amounts of praise when they play well and should expect negativity when they don't. It's a two way street.

Well stated. There's a high standard at UND and the current team isn't living up to it. It's not the fault of the fans who point out substandard play. Hell, it's not even Hak's fault or the team's fault. I'm quite sure the players and the staff want to win as well. That doesn't change the fact that this team isn't playing anywhere near where they should be though. Playing for a powerhouse like UND must be a great experience for the players. With that comes high standards and unbelieveable expectations. They knew that coming in though and have a lot of work to do. Losing isn't acceptable at UND.

I think the Sioux are a superior team and should sweep the series. That said, I have a feeling we will play down to the level of competition and make it a very interesting weekend of hockey. I'm hopeful for 4 points though. While the WCHA crown is all but out of reach, UND needs to start stacking wins to get the attention of the NCAA selection committee.

While I can't say I share the same point of view as this guy, what's up with the stop talking jargon? Are you insinuating that just because a fan may have never played the sport, they know nothing about it or can't critique it?

WHOA! Let's take a time out here for a second. Fans, even die-hard ones, have different styles. Just because a guy says Finley sucks doesn't mean he is a fair-weathered fan. It means he thinks Finley sucks. I am a HUGE supporter of my sports teams, including Sioux hockey. That doens't mean I will blindly support players and make excuses for poor play though. On the flip side, just because somebody defends Finley to the death doesn't make them a better fan. It's just differing points of view. Fans handle adversity in different ways. Some of you guys always try to find the bright spot in any dismal situation. Some of the others blast everybody from the players, to the staff to the janitor who cleans the lockerroom toilets. Personally, I love Sioux hockey to death and will support the team whether they go undefeated or lose every single game. I'm also a passionate fan who will do some hardcore venting now and again when I get frustrated. It's just how I am... Fair weather, for me, couldn't be further from the truth.

How much time you got? Dad was in the Air Force. I was born in Mass, moved to England, then Germany, then New Mexico, then Florida and then North Dakota. Spent most of my time growing up Grand Forks while attending Valley Jr. High and Central HS. I moved to Arizona and then joined the Army. I lived in Georgia, Kentucky, Korea and Colorado before moving back to Grand Forks for a few years. I then moved to Wisconsin, attended college and still reside in the cheese state. Been in Wisconsin since 1995 and the wife, who was born and raised in Grand Forks, loves it here and refuses to leave. So...... here I am.

I've been saying Finley sucks all year long. He is 6'7", 250lbs of poor hockey ability. If the guy was an average size dude, he wouldn't even sniff D1 hockey.

I'm out of here. Nothing more to say I guess. It looks like the fans on this message board care more about winning than the players. This team is a joke as it stands right now. Getting swept at UAA and now getting swept at home by a struggling Badger team is pathetic.
