  1. Toews Oshie and the Hobey winner were his team too and he couldn't win. Hakstol couldn't win the big one and 2016 wouldn't have been any different. Berry is a good coach but this team is just down on talent. You have one proven scorer at the college level (Gersich) and none of the young forwards have surprised on the upside. Colton Poolman is an excellent D-man but the rest are a solid, but unspectacular group. The starting goalie is an average starting goalie unless he has a D-corps in front of him loaded with NHL caliber players to make him look good. When is the last time Cam stole a game for UND?
  2. Cam wasn't laboring when he made the perfect stick to stick pass to the Duluth guy at tail end of 2nd period that should have been another Duluth goal. Seeing it live there's no way that live chat or even TV could have done that justice on how bad it was.
  3. A bunch of solid, but not great, players, that will all stay 3-4 years = mediocrity for a couple years.
  4. Tough to win when you are starting your 2nd best goalie all weekend.
  5. Bingo. It's not a slam on the players, UND is full of hard working solid to good players. There just might not be any really good to great players this year. 4 of 5 games now (against mediocre teams) where scoring is a real issue. Starting to look like a trend.
  6. This team doesn't have any finishers.
  7. Price lowered to $225 each OBO. Will split into pairs.
  8. 105 Row H. $400 for the pair. Great view on end Sioux shoot at twice. Tickets in Grand Forks. Text 701-740-3859.
  9. Tickets still available. A view from the seats this last weekend.
  10. Friday Oct 20 Sioux Gopher tickets. 105 Row H, 4 in a row. This is the end the Sioux shoot at twice. $250 a ticket. Text (701) 740-3859
  11. He deserved a better outcome IMO. He came in as a walk on.....put in the work to get into the lineup.....produced pretty well in limited opportunities. However, he's not the first and won't be the last walk on that gets shafted while highly recruited busts like the Wade Murphy's of the world get chance after chance. That's life.

    2017 Season

The intent to deliver is absolutely the embarrassing part. These aren't 2 young college kids caught with a little bit of dope in the console during a traffic stop. This was a full blown raid that caused local Lewis and Clark school to be placed on lockdown for a period of time. Maybe some overkill on the police presence (which was significant), but still very embarrassing off field news for a team that has been embarrassing on field. Will be interesting if Bubba puts his foot down.

    2017 Season

Seems the drug stuff started popping up at the end of Mussman's time too. If your team is full of knuckleheads the team better at least be good. A team full of knuckleheads that isn't very good is rock bottom. Hopefully Bubba gets this runaway train back on the tracks.

    2017 Season

Shhh...don't want the thread to get shut down again.
  15. I doubt it was a joke. Just more evidence that Boesser was a cancer in the locker room this season and just like the team was better with him last year, they would have been better without him this year. More talk about the wrist injury.....that magically was just fine once he got to the NHL. He was a top flight talent that was demoted down lines because anyone that watched this year saw him lose almost every race to loose pucks and lose almost every battle in the corners. It's just too bad he didn't leave on a high note after his 1st season if his heart wasn't gonna be in it this season.
  16. Teams still aren't gonna risk a high draft picks health. Just pointing out that maybe a nagging injury wasn't to blame for this season.
  17. Safe to say that injury might not have been the issue for the below par year. NHL teams don't risk 1st round draft picks with injuries in meaningless end of year games.
  18. Brock is a great talent, and played a huge role on last year's team. That being said, it was definitely time for him to go. He clearly wasn't as motivated this year as last year so perhaps he needs a new challenge. Jost, Poolman, and Boesser will all get a chance in the NHL. Jost and Poolman will stay there.
  19. Realize that injuries dictate some of the change, but it sure has the feel of Hak getting too cute with the lines at the wrong time of year. Load up the top 2 lines, have the Gaarder O'Donnel Pog line as a rock solid 3rd line, and have a 4th line that plays rarely if at all. There are 4 games left....not 4 months...time to ride the clydesdales.
  20. Frankly I don't think UND should want anything to do with the Gophers at this point given how hot they have been. Would like to see UND get two games in to get their mojo back before facing them.
  21. Kind of tough to rate the Sioux performance this week since on the surface it looks like they had nothing to play for. However, they played their way out of a matchup with #16 seed, which is the only automatic win in the tourney. As for game planning (especially with the Murphy move) I kinda wonder if Hak didn't already make a game plan at Auggies
  22. Agreed. If you are gonna do a forward move it should have been putting Panzarella in. If either Can Johnson or Wade Murphy skates a regular shift next weekend the Sioux have no chance.
  23. Only nonsense if he's wrong.
  24. And it didn't take you 10 years to kinda get it half right :-)
