  1. I really thought USD would put up more of a fight (i picked them to win). Maybe not as good as I thought (or maybe ISU is not as bad as I thought).
  2. He did check the books, that's why someone got fired. Whether NDSU gets more or UND gets less why should't it be the same?
  3. Unless their playing in Dickinson I don't think your argument makes much sense. Montanai did want UND in the Big Sky if they stay there. As with any school they will do whats right for them and if that means leaving UND in the Big Sky they will. It makes sense for all the Dakota schools to be together whatever the league.
  4. Especially when you get 3 for playing at home. Someone thinks the Vikes can pull the upset.
  5. Who is out there that would be better? When Blais was here last he said that Hak was the best coach in college hockey. He's a pretty darn good coach and will get a title at some point. Relax.
  6. At the time he got the offer anyoneof us would have taken the opportunity. He had the right gameplan today (again) his palyers just didn't execute.
  7. I think we have BCitis. Two man advantage. Need to score
  8. Nice pass by Krito and finish by Knight (He's a stud). 1-1
  9. First game jitters for many of the youngsters. I also thought with the added responsibilty of playing on the PP Blood was a bit off his game on the defensive side. Both of these things will improve with game experience. Potential for another deep run in the playoffs is there. 8700 is very disapointing though
  10. If you're a college hockey fan you know about the NCHC and the schools in them. Typical hockey fans as you call them know what's going on in the hockey world. As for Frank, he's an idiot.
  11. Yes, Gino probably had a lot to do with it. But don't paly the Nazi racist thing. See: Ralph Engalstadt
  12. I think the NHL continuing to grow in the US is done (hence Atlanta moving to Winny, Phoenix barley hanging on). College hockey is a regional sport and always will be. How many college hockey teams are there south of the Mason Dixon line? ONE, and that one can't get into a conference . I'm sure Notre Dame repects UND as a hockey program but I don't believe it has anything to do with the decision whether to join the conference or not. There decsion will be about where they can make more money and nothing else.
  13. Clear your cards, that's a good Bingo! This sums it up as well as anything I've read from either side. Nice post!
  14. Where do you come up with he doesn't care??? BOTH sides have people who only see things through their own colored glasses (many on this site) and of course each side thinks that the other has the more dillusional idiots posting about why their school is the best. Why can't a fan who supports one school have interest in the other school without it being because of penis envy (by the way from what I read both sides have it, bad)? I find it humerous that both sides/sites *BV/SS) have people telling "trolls" to go back to their own site if you don't care about us. Then in their next post they talk about what's going on over at the other site. Pot/Kettle?
  15. So does that mean the Sioux hockey championships before 20 yrs ago don't count? I don't think so.
  16. You are Ubelieveable!!! Until the Sioux beat a FBS team there is Nothing to brag about. My goodness, just give some credit where it's due. UND would not be 5-3 against those same teams. MAYBE 3-5.
  17. I never said they would replace their favorite team by watching, I said hockey fans watch college hockey games (yes somtimes it's not the whole game) So when the Sioux are playing in Denver and UMD/St. Cloud are playing in Miami/Western Michigan no one will watch? Hmmmmm.... I'm a hockey fan and I know I will. I have Direct TV and watch Hockey East games, it's what hockey fans do. YOU can guarentee that's how it will be elswhere?? Thanks, GOD!!!
  18. Agreed. What are people going to say if he had a hand in it and then becomes the commissioner of the league? Be some interesting reading on this forum
  19. Hockey fans care about hockey and will watch it if it is on TV. Just read some of the threads on Sioux Sports during the season and you can get live updates on Maine vs. Northeastern. I'm pretty sure there will be plenty of TV's in the state of Minnesota (many of which are in the Cities area) tuned in to watch both Duluth and St.Cloud play. FSN needs this as they will be losing many of the Gopher games. Maybe having three teams in the FSN area is more attractive to them than two and they wanted SCSU in the league. If it's not FSN (say VS. or CBS college sports) I'm sure having more teams from the state of hockey to draw as viewers can only help. With college hockey being a Regional sport any network that would sign a deal would want teams located in hockey areas where they would have more potential viewers. The league may not have had SCSU first on their list but with where they are at now it might make sense based on how things shook out. I'm sure there are a lot of things going on behind the scenes (ie.. busine$$ decisions) that the public is not privy to that played part in them being ivited.
  20. Finally, someone that gets it. The league needs a TV deal (Fox is the most logical) and TV needs that market. Kinda makes sense as to why they are getting an invite.
  21. I couldn't agree more. The build up/hype would be unbelieveable and I hope it happens sooner rather than later.
  22. I think you can figure it out
  23. I think thedy beat them though
  24. Haaaaaa Haaaaaaaaaa
  25. Thank you that was my point. OK and Nebraska were playing against the first team of TT the entire game, unlike UND which was seeing a rotation from the start which is what they scheduled UND for. To get a win and get others some playing time which builds depth. Why do you right away assume I'm an NDSU guy? (I might have to go to Bisonville to find someone who can understand something that isn't only through Kelly green glasses). I have no real ties to either UND or NDSU. I don't even post over there and only recently posted on here. Just couldn't take any more of the people on here doing the same thing they acuse the other side of doing (yes I know it goes on over there too). As I said in an earlier post, you can still have a rivalry and have respect for the other side (meaning both sides need to take their colored glasses off every once in a while) I'm an out of state individual that has been living in the wonderful state of ND for the last decade and will probably be here for the long haul, at least for the summer . I follow both schools and want to see both do well which brings postive publicity to the whole state, because contrary to what people here believe once you get two hours + away from the ND boarder very few people know which school is in Fargo and which school is in GF.
