Will the Duluth games be on tv this weekend? I know they won't be on the fighting sioux network, but somebody told me that WDAZ would be covering the games. I remembered last year you were able to get that channel. Thanks.

Oh, I forgot to ask. If a college player closes his hand on the puck in the crease (as Greene did or almost did) is that just a penalty or a penalty shot? In the NHL it is a penalty shot, correct?

I was at the game on Friday and it was a very messy game to say the least. The third period wasn't even fun to watch because it looked like the players were thoroughly confused out there. Neither team new how many players were on the ice, it was a free-for-all. We did take some very stupid penalties. Greene took the delay of game penalty and punched a guy in the head right after I had just finished telling my friend that he can't control himself and doesn't think at times. As Blais said, the players need to just keep playing and keep their negative emotions to calls in check. I am sure that the penalties will be much more even tonight because we will be more disciplined and the referees will see the disparity from Friday. This was my first time visiting Mankato's arena. It seemed very dull, probably because the home team has been the pits this year. They didn't have a very big student section. They had one idiot who yelled out "F#$@ you Parise" during the national anthem, very classy. Kind of like some people on this message board. We looked like we started out very slow. Our defense wasn't playing the body very well and they skated right around us. Jake did come up with some key saves during the game. He was a little shaky at first and flopped around a little when he lost sight of the puck, but settled down after that. He looked very poised in goal and knew when to come out and challenge to break up a play. Our passing looked okay and could have been better. Parise and Bochenski had nice passing on their two on one break (Bochenski shooting wide with lots of net to look at), as well as Murray and Parise when they scored. Brandon didn't shoot as much as I saw when I visited St. Cloud. Keys for tonight are to start fast, play disciplined and we shouldn't have a problem. We also need to outshoot these Mavs as we usually do to our opponents. Brandt in goal again? Side note: I am trying to collect an official WCHA puck from each team that has the WCHA emblem on the back side. I was dissapointed to see that neither Mankato's game puck nor the one for sale in the lobby had the logo on it. They stopped doing this two years ago. It must be because they are a new WCHA team and can't afford the extra money to have both sides printed.

The weather doesn't sound too good for Thursday and Friday. A mixture of rain/snow/sleet should make for a long drive, especially when I am driving down Friday and leaving after the game. Does anybody know of some cheap hotels in town just in case?

I was thinking that as well. I am sure tickets will still be available. My tickets were for center ice in 300's row g, so the best available is working it's way up there. The next lowest is in 302 row D.

I got my seats! Center ice in the 300 level. It sounded like higher up was the way to go, so that's just what I did. Thanks for the help.

How much do the tickets cost? Are there any left or will it be a sellout? Do many Sioux fans usually travel there, are any of you going? I was thinking about driving out for Friday and picking up a couple of tickets, so any information you guys could give me would be great!

What Wisconsin fans do is make up cheers to the tunes of other songs which is clever such as... (to the tune of dear liza, theres a hole in my bucket, my bucket) Colorado has a sieve for a goalie, a goalie, a goalie Colorado has a sieve for a goalie, a goalie in net. All it takes is for a section to learn this and it should catch. BTW I made this up but take a concept and find a catchy tune and let it be heard.

I think a good one for introductions could be divided up with the student section and eventually the rest of the arena once they catch on. Half of the section or group chants, WHO'S HE? The other half replys, WHO CARES? It would be neat if it came from two different areas, but it would also work if a you and a person next to you tried to out-yell each other. This would probably need to be started with fliers or just a big group and would probably catch on fast.

I am really dissapointed because I had somebody in line to buy my old cheapo jersey. Where could I find one of the silky textured ones with the Sioux head that is really detailed? I don't care if it is Gemini or Nike as long as it is the shiny material with the detailed face. Are they selling these at the Ralph now or do they still just have the cheap look-a-likes? or where could I find one on the Internet or somebody willing to sell one in case this Grosso or Furcich guy are fakes?

It is too bad that the majority of the jerseys were distributed to only a few different people. Hopefully next year, if they do it again, they will allow people to only bid on one jersey so the high rollers don't take them all. I am a little upset, but hey at least I saved a lot of money. I'll just have to settle for wearing my cheap knock off for a few more years.

I wonder if we will wear the black jerseys again this year after what happend this past weekend? Which is the alternate jersey, the black or green? I remember one of these colors was used for special occaisions or games and I thought it was green. Perhaps it might increase the value of the black ones since they will be used at a rarity the rest of the year. I guess it could also work the other way too, nobody will want them if they are bad luck.

When will we know who won the bids, how long? Do they send an email or post the winning amount on the website tonight or the next day? How did it work last year?

Very good!!! I did notice a flaw though. When the U.S. scored their last goal to tie it at 3-3, the scoreboard showed 4-3. After we scored our 4th goal it showed 3-3. The pictures must have been out of order. Did anybody else notice this or hear about it? I don't see how Hollywood could have screwed that up. It was very good though. Nice feel good story seeing a team that you want to win, do just that, since ours isn't right now.

Starting out the top of Sports Center at 8:00 a.m. they had an overtime basketball highlight and then the Sioux overtime loss. That goal the Wisco. player scored was a pretty nice move, also a bad play by the defender to let him get by. That arena was rocking, what a game.
