I guess I am just dissapointed because watching the game live I didn't see all of the replays and hear the play by play and thought the game was fine. We played very well against a tough team and I didn't think I would log on tonight to see that people were making excuses and complaining about stupid stuff.

Just because we happen to have bad luck and lose two players in under a minute to injuries doesn't mean it is because the refs have called a poor game.

I was just asked to be on the thing. I told them to find a kid, but you needed to be at least 21 to ride the Bud Light one. So may people asked me about my gold gopher/sioux helmet and I told them my team is the Sioux since I went to college there, but I will cheer for the gophers as long as they aren't up against UND. I guess I am one of the few in this category because everybody thought that was really odd.

The officiating wasn't that bad. It wasn't very inconsistent but I am not going to resort to blaming the reffing on the outcomes of these games. The Sioux played tough and will probably have a tough time tomorrow after losing Brady and Bina because the team is tired. I remembered seeing Zajac saying a naughty word as Brady left the ice, which showed me that they know it will be tough here on out. Sure it hurts, but they need to get through it. It wasn't due to poor refereeing that he and Bina got hurt. Because #12 on Denver took a cheap shot doesn't mean it was poor reffing, though he could have given the guy 5:00, the damage was already done. Even if you call a tight game, players will still do stupid stuff. This is always what they talk about with basketball conference tourneys is players getting hurt when it really isn't that important. I talked to the medical staff while I was waiting to ride the zamboni and they said they thought Bina wasn't that bad off and would probably be okay though the hit looked cheap and bad. We had a very valiant effort and played the top team in the country very tough. I will not make excuses for our loss as we played well and the win could have gone either way.

Just got back from the final five and maybe it is the beer in me, but what is going on in the picture? Why all the crying about officiating?

Mafia, I'm planning two bachelor parties coming up and I was wondering if you could get some free passes for us for KOD?

Where do you sit for the final five PCM? I just wanted to personally thank you for the excellent job you do keeping us posted on inside information. Oh and not to mention the best recaps in all of USCHO.

I have been know to carry pitchers of beer from McGoverns to Tom Reids. I am sure glad I didn't get caught and have to dump out my $10 pitcher of beer. I remember last year when the guy was thrown through the window at Reids. We were there shortly after it happend and that was crazy.

I hope more Minnesota fans will cheer for ND as well. I would think they hate red more than green. Most of them will probably just want a good game and not care. Maybe I can talk the gopher fans around us to cheer for UND since I will be cheering for the 'phers as long as they aren't up against us. That would be a good poll for somebody to do on a gopher site and see what they come up with. Which hatred is stronger?

I am sure that alot of people will be at Great Waters to use their coupon for the free pint of beer. The alumni thing usually as been held here, but I couldn't remember when it was. I thought one year it was between the Saturday games.

I forgot, do any of you ever gather anywhere in between periods, other than outside for smokers, to discuss the game?

It is great that the tourney is on St. Patricks day. Hopefully there will be lots of green out there, perhaps even on gopher fans. I wonder who everybody will cheer for if we play Wisconsin? Who does Minnesota hate more? I am a very die hard Sioux fan, but since I grew up a gopher fan I don't hate them as much as others that post here do. I will be cheering for them as long as they aren't playing us, just to warn everybody ahead of time. Many people were angry at me for this last year and couldn't figure it out. I don't care though because UMD and the U of M are the only other teams I pull for if the Sioux aren't playing. Well on with the topic of this thread. We will be in section 117 row 10 again this year (behind the benches). We always hang out at McGoverns between games. It is always packed, as everyplace is, but it is a fun crowd.

I think it will be a Sioux win tonight 3-2. I wonder if everybody else will be able to score 7 or 8 again tonight?

The goals we scored last night were amazing. They all were highlight goals with unbelievable passing and shots.

I had a big crew there I was with or else I would have made my way around to talk to others. Pretty sad that we still aren't there, but I am way too tired from work this week and need sleep to do it again tomorrow.

Most UMD fans stayed but a few left. It was great to have them there though. Makes for a more competitive atmosphere. Hopefully they will be back again.

Hopefully we can do it again tomorrow. We all have been waiting for a game like that all year long. I am sure it will probably be a lot closer though tomorrow, but man was that fun tonight. See everybody again tomorrow night. If you weren't there, be there!

I saw that other people were writing about this topic in another thread and wanted to remind people again to go. It sounds like there will be a lot of Bulldog fans and we need to outnumber them and make the place a sea of green. Just checking to see who all will be there tonight and tomorrow night. I am going with a group of 6 people. I called and made reservations 952-835-1191. As long as the group is about 7-8 or higher they said that is fine. They also will have other games on is well and should have audio for us if everybody shows up.

I guess my prediction at the beginning was right.

I sure hope the top five teams make the final five. I would be very upset if a lower team makes it. I want the best matchups.

Let's get 3 more and rest our banged up players.

It's too bad that our first shutout of the season will come in our last conference game. Would have been nice if we could have had a few more.

Coteau, it's not that I am being negative, I just think I am bad luck. I made the trip to Mankato and saw a tie and Duluth and saw the loss. When the Sioux make the final five I should probably give up my tickets and watch it on tv.
