Oh, and if they didn't have the University there, Grand Forks is a city I probably would have never thought of visiting. So, my point is the same is HockeyMom. The people of Grand Forks are forgetting that the hockey team is for the students and the University. Don't get me wrong, people should still behave in a somewhat ruly manner, but to take it this far is pretty absurd. What are fans like at the football games now? Are they any different than at hockey? Why is the focus always on hockey?

And without the University, there wouldn't be a city of Grand Forks.

I remember when Siembida made one of his first starts at Mariucci and really shined.

Though I started this post well before the Sioux lost tonight, I still think this is a joke. Each WCHA team should play each other 4 times and they could schedule non-conference games around these. There has to be a way to work schedules so players that are absent don't hurt the teams chances to win games. If we would have had a full team, there is a great chance that it may have been a laugher.

Either way it is pointless. Every WCHA team should play each other 4 times instead of this nonsense. I can see at the beginning, but who cares about non-conference play.

The whole 6 on 4 thing isn't working again just like the gophers.

I just wish they would put the Wild on since the gopher game is over.

These holiday games are so pointless. I know they have to play non-conference games, but the matchups are really pathetic. I was watching some of the gopher game and it is just a laugher. I feel bad for Union because they suck so bad and shouldn't be humiliated. I know they probably chose to play in the tourney and it is their fault, but the players don't seem to be enjoying it and fans are very sparse. The games just get chippy once they are out of hand. Our Sioux games will only be close because our best players will be absent. I think they should work around the holidays and the Jr. tourney and just try to schedule a WCHA series during the week since most colleges have 3 weeks vacation. These ECAC games are a joke. If they are going to have these get togethers, at least pair up good teams against each other such as the perennial powers playing in different places each year. That would be more interesting. Also, what ever happened to that Subway tourney I thought they started up in G.F.? Maybe some of you will have some feedback on why they do this every year.

Watching the game on tv and Lammy has made some very, very good saves. Bemidji is playing a very aggressive game. Too bad we couldn't have set up our 5x3 a little better and generate some chances. Their fans had a very loud F the Sioux chant going which was very audible over the tv during the Zach Jones incident, when he was very heated. Hopefully none of the tribal people were watching.

A category answer they just had on wheel of fortune was Grand Forks North Dakota. Something special is going to happen tonight, I see it in the cards!!!

I would think the Saturday game would be covered by the Sioux network since it is home, but how about Friday? Also, is CSTV covering a game Friday?

Fun arena! I wish I was going. I have been in the past and it is a good time. Security is upped for the series I think because I have been to many other games and it seems like they don't have as many guards. A couple of years ago one of them tried to kick me out because he mistook me for somebody else or a gopher fan told him I was being abnoxious, which I wasn't. I was upset at first, but after he understood that it was a misunderstanding everything was good. I ended up sitting behind Bochenski's hot mom because there were some open seats behind the Sioux bench. I think that was the game when there was a huge delay because the ice was messed up and Goldy was moon-skating through the fire extingusher smoke.
