Does Yane still make signs and do others hold them up at the games still? That was a really neat idea as we were one of the few schools who were that creative.

We also want Mankato over St.Cloud right?

It sure would be nice if we could get a 2 or 3 goal lead. We haven't had too many of those this season.

I'm watching on charter communications cable network. It is a local cable channel 14 that shows games each weekend featuring mankato, st.cloud, duluth or bemidji. It's a great thing, but the college kids who film and do play-by play aren't very good.

Be nice if we could finally outshoot a team for once.

Hey Habit are you watching the game on tv? If so, it's great to have somebody aboard who can see and tell us what they view. I am watching the gopher/denver game and mankato/st.cloud. 1-0 and 1-1 respectively.

Thanks for letting me know! I am not much of a computer whiz, but the one thing I like about this board as a teacher is that nobody types using those shortened abbreviated words such as cuz and using numbers such as 4 to say four. I think that is negatively impacting our youth how they type papers. I actually have students who turn in papers with this type of computer writing or text message abbreviations. The writing style on this board is very educated as most of us are linked with UND, with the exception of siouxrock who hasn't been around for awhile. Well on with the game, just my two cents on a pet peeve of mine.

Hey fanatic, what is pwn? Is it supposed to be owned or what? I am a PE teacher and many of my kids always are saying powned. I don't know where it came from. Just curious.

What's the deal with this stupid checking from behind on us all of the time? Why don't the coaches show video on why this is being called so they can learn what not to do. It's almost a given every game now. We must lead in this category by about 10 more checking from behind than any other team.

Thanks that really helps out. I realize that everything now is just speculation, but I just needed a little more clarification about the process. So if Tech or one of the lower teams in the WCHA happend to win the final five, would they replace the lower WCHA team in the NCAA brackets or just the lowest ranked team overall? As you said, I don't think this would happen either, as it probably never has, but I was just curious anyway.

That's why I was wondering because with all of the media and technology we have these days, this thing is updated so quickly and I just was curious as to which team and fans would be most upset to think they were in until the unthinkable happened and possibly may have never happend as of yet.

I was just wondering which team would get the boot in the brackets for the NCAA tourney if a team from the WCHA, that isn't repsented already, wins the final five? I always thought that a team like Michigan Tech or Alaska Anchorage could get into the big dance if they win the final five. If this is still the case, then how do things work? And also if this is the case, why does everybody keep thinking the Sioux season is over if we aren't factored as one of the teams in power rankings, we still could have a chance right? Thanks for clearing this up for me, just was curious. I just always thought that a team who would win the final five was automatically in so everybody could still have a chance and the season isn't a loss already for some.

What happend? Trying to figure it out from the previous posts. Talking about cleavage in one game to starting overtime and then people complaining about the team. Is overtime over and we lost or are we just playing bad? Just logged on and need some info. please. Thanks

I am so sick of hearing about how the student section is behaving and what is right and wrong. I remember when I was leaving they were just starting to try to control the swearing and behavior. They threatened that they had a camera on us and whoever started the inappropriate chants would be asked to leave and not come back. We were told to do things like what the Kansas basketball team would do when opposing teams were introduced by holding up newspapers instead of saying who's he, he sucks sh!!! On with my point of this thread. They are trying to make our student section into that of the annoying Wisconsin fans. After watching some of the gopher/badger game last night their students are so busy chanting and doing stupid stuff that they don't even watch or care about the game. They just look like a bunch of puppets that are controlled by their band songs telling them what to do. The thing that made our student section one of the best was that we always did very random things and were always starting new cheers that were in support of our team or directed at the other team. Wisconsin fans just stand up and do odd looking dances that don't have to do with the game at all. I just think it is too bad that the higher powers at the school are trying to make the students do what they want instead of what the students want. I think it would be tough to try to enjoy watching the game when you are worried about how you behave knowing people are watching you instead of the game. If it takes moving the student section to the ends I think it should be done so they have their freedom back. With a bigger arena if parents are worried about what their kids hear, they can certainly find a place to take them where the words are muffled some. I still think the best cheers that we do are just constantly chanting Let's Go Sioux because when we go to other venues, that definitely overpowers anything else. That is the best way to make noise and then using the other letter spelling chants such as SEX, CONDOM, ORGY, CUM, etc. They don't do these at gopher games anymore and I wonder if it is because people have complained there. I sure hope our arena doesn't turn into that one. Just wanted to voice my opinion on an observation from last night.

Along the lines of stat history, how many checking from behind penalties do we have thus far compared to other teams?
