At least it would help out the Sioux if Duluth won since DU has a better record.
-
That's a pretty quick turn of events. Probably more penalties against them.
-
Anybody else out there going to listen to the other games for updates?
-
How did the signs work out? That is kind of our tradition now, as I don't think other arenas do this.
-
Zajac is really making a statement this weekend.
-
I kind of thought they would go with Brandt tonight in goal and Parise tomorrow. They do play again tomorrow right, if so what time?
-
I was just amazed that nobody had started one yet because I thought the game started earlier.
-
I would be interested in an old green one too. So I would need to find my own Indian head and patches?
-
Crazy, we started our own threads at the same time and had the same question! Let's go with yours since your were a minute earlier.
-
What time does the game start? Must be 7:30?
-
I didn't see Virg's picks for this week. I hope we shut Duluth out tonight, then Hak will almost have to play Phil again the next night.
-
Will most people be gathering at Grandmas on Saturday? Let's paint the town green!

Just for fun, let's see if anybody can guess the exact scores for the weekend! Let's show Virg Foss how it is done! Friday Sioux win 3-2 Saturday Tie 2-2 (I hope this isn't correct though, as this will be the only game I go to. I actually was thinking loss but just couldn't put it down) We can revisit these after the weekend to find winners. Diggler will be responsible for sending you a prize.

Anybody with info. yet? UMDDogz or Runnin?

I found the link on ticketmaster for the seating chart http://www.ticketmaster.com/seatingchart/49503/11590 What section is the penalty box crew in and which are the biggest visitors sections? Will we be able to see the scoreboard okay sitting in in the corner of the rink, since it probably doesn't haven't 20 sides like in the Ralph? Never been to this rink before if you haven't guessed. Thanks for the info.

4 Sioux fans here going up for the Saturday night game! This is why I hope they start Phil both nights. Anybody know if these seats are okay or really bad? I know they aren't the best. And will any Sioux fans be near us? Section 4 row 10 seats 8-11. I purchased the tickets over the net and had to pay about $28 per ticket so the seats better be worth it and the game better be action packed. Hope to mingle with many fans at Grandmas all day Saturday for a pre-game!!! GO SIOUX!!!

I just wanted to congratulate the team on a much needed win streak (5-1) since dropping 2 to Wisconsin. Some positives to look back on are that we now are outshooting opponents, not taking as many dumb penalties, getting very strong goaltending and beating the teams we need to beat (exception of 2nd Alaska game). I know it was a little earlier in the season that we topped Minnesota and Colorado, but it is impressive to watch their play now and realize that we took a game from each of them. This will help our confidence in playing CC the second time around and Minnesota if we meet them again later. One area that I think we still lack in is offensive firepower. I fully agree with Hakstol's comment in the paper when he says, "I didn't think we came out with sheer desperation until the last 4-5 minutes of the game," Hakstol said, "and against an honest hockey team like Alaska, you've got to do more than that." After watching CC and UM's offenses recently it seems that they are always playing with desperation and much more intensity than we do throughout the entire game. They have much more speed and seem to be more creative with their passing. I really like how Hakstol has played both Phil and Parise because I think with 3 goalies alternating still our goalies wouldn't be getting enough game time. I am sure that Hakstol has told Brandt what his role is and we might see him in the nonconference games. Parise did a great job the other night and gave us a chance, but I think down the stretch Hakstol will probably use Phil in back to back games as it seems every other team is doing that we play. I would like to see that this weekend against Duluth and let Brandt and Parise play the next couple. My prediction for this team is that we will finish in the middle of the pack this year behind Wisco., Minn. and CC. We should be able to stay ahead of DU and Duluth towards the end as long as we take care of business next week. As far as the end of the season anything can go. Hopefully Zajac, Spirko, Stafford and Murray can step up and be our offensive leaders. It would be great to see a 2 or 3 goal game from them or if another player would do so I am sure we wouldn't mind. Our defense has really played much better not taking as many penalties or the refs are starting to let up, one or the other or a combination of the two. Our outshooting other teams is a credit to our defense and our offense for starting to turn it up a little. We just need to finish. I was surprised to read in the G.F. Herald from Virg that "The Sioux pumped a season-high 39 shots at Lawson" the other night. I thought by now we would have had a game in which we would have reached the 40 shot mark. At least this is a step in the right direction though now. Just wanted to share my thoughts thus far and see what ya'll think. Remember to stay positive because our play is improving and you can't win them all (especially in the WCHA). We just need to be like Viking fans and start hoping the better teams start losing or splitting to help us out. Let's sweep the vulnerable dogs next week and get em' while they are down. They better not wake up on us because we need these points going into

It sounded like Parise made some good saves, but it would be nice to see Phil 2 times next weekend. Parise and possibly Brandt can play the crumby nc teams.
-
We just didn't generate enough chances and when we did Law-sucker stomped us. At least we are outshooting teams now finally. I wonder what the games will be like now next weekend? I am only going to the Saturday game so I hope Phil has a great game Friday and plays again Saturday against Duluth.

Let's keep that trend of last second goals in college hockey going!
-
Fans not happy the refs missed that call when they threw Murray's stick.
-
Missed call? We can get one with an extra attacker for a change.
-
What is the update on time for Duluth? Still 3-2 right?

10:30 left.
